Getting my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Thurgood was a horrific experience. Despite having called the office to inform them of my anxiety, Dr. Thurgood ignored it completely and refused to acknowledge my questions. It took him nine attempts to place my IV, and each time he became progressively more frustrated, throwing his hands in the air and muttering under his breath that it was not working. Each attempt was very painful as he was incredibly aggressive. However, when he finally did place an IV that worked, Dr. Thurgood did not inform me that he would be administering the sedative and therefore I went to sleep in sheer terror. There have been many negative effects of the experience. Most notable is the psychological fallout. However, I am also in pain in my hands and wrists at all times. My PCP believes that I have nerve damage caused by the IVs that may never go away. Dr. Thurgood will treat you like a profit and not a person, and lacks the human decency to provide any respect.

My son has now had 3 surgeries with Dr. Thurgood. He's a good surgeon & his office is very professional, nice, clean & hygienic.
Thank you for all your help!!! Everybody was very supportive from the office to the procedure room. I felt comfortable and at ease. That can't be said about every dental practice. Thanks again, Frank Pharr
We would recommend Dr Thurgood. However, make sure you know your insurance! Dr Thurgood is a premier provider for Delta Dental but NOT a Delta PPO provider, costing my 19 year old son over $600. We saw Dr. Thurgood on the Delta website but were not aware that it's a different set of providers if you pay more premium for the Delta PPO.
