Excellent find and referral from good friends of ours. So happy to now be going here and look forward to being well taken care of by this office's excellent staff and wonderful experience so far with Dr. Bob Harkins!

Welp, sadly, I can honestly say this is the worst experience I've had with a doctor! I left humiliated, confused, offended, and didn't receive the (simple) care I needed. I'd recommend avoiding at all costs. I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new general practitioner, as well as refill my prescription for a medication I've been taking for years. Dr. Harkins not only refused to prescribe my medication, but did so without offering any reason why or offering any alternative method for addressing my health problem. He repeatedly stated that his biggest concern was not getting sued by an insurance company. I asked if there were any medical reasons or risks to my health for taking it, and he refused to answer the question, saying it wasn't his job to explain to me any potential health risks. He did say that he was most concerned about his personal liability for prescribing medication, and therefor he just didn't want to do it. We're not talking about some kind of opioid or dangerous drug here, by the way. I take a very basic, common medication that most people here probably do as well. The most shocking thing was that not only did he refuse to explain if/what were risks with the medication or why he thought it was a bad idea, but he also didn't offer any kind of other solutions to my health problem. I literally said, "You're a doctor, right? What medical advice do you have for me?" And he refused to answer. I was disgusted by his response. It's pretty scary to be in the presence of a medical professional and have them state they are not willing to help you in any way. I am certainly taking my business elsewhere. Somewhere I can actually receive healthcare. (One bright spot of the experience was the nurse, who was quite friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I've had nothing but great service from Charlotte, Vivienne and Dr. Bob. I feel that I got lucky that i found them in my town.

In 2016 I was given Dr. Wilkins name and was able to see him right away. He was very helpful to my immediate situation. He spent time explaining and caring for me. His assistant was also very helpful. I highly recommend him.

Had an office visit told the CFNP Mr Harkins I needed my prescription refilled he said to have Rite Aid call it in so I did. He didn't refill them week went by I called Rite Aid again the called it in again still no refill. I then got A from his very rude office woman who said that she has to come in and see him again before I can get my refills. Another payday they wanted he will have you come in twice A month just so he can make more money this is Fraud in my book and am on medical. So I found someone else. Then I needed medical records FAXED to A specialist and the office receptionist gave me a bad time and didn't want to do it unless I made an appointment with the CFNP another payday I don't even go to him anymore and I told her that's way I don't go there anymore she told me I was being agrumentive and I said I have the right to my medical records. She then said he would do it this one time but I Have to come in and sign A release so I did made the trip there but then when I got there he wouldn't do it said the other doctor would have to fax over A request so I have to go make A special trip to sign A release at the new doctor so they can Fax over the request for my records.
