They do a fine job with GI stuff. My big gripe is they submitted info to my insurance wrong and it cost me an extra $850 out of pocket this year. That hurt during the pandemic when the wife was out of work. So keep an eye on your bills.

Very knowledgeable He explains the procedure.

Dr. Wortham is very kind and explains everything from beginning to end as far as surgery goes, as well as all other regular visit issues. He’s awesome!

Great doc. Explained everything. Quick with results and call back from questions.

Dr. Wortham is the best Gastroenterlogy in this area. Anderson , I have been a patient for years. He has worked with my doctors from other states. He will do what it takes to care for his patients. Very smart and helpful. He don't quit until he finds out what is wrong. I would give him 15 stars if possible.

I'm very disappointed. My son has been suffering for a long time. They run a light down him. Saying it was acid reflux. I asked the doctor about the gallbladder. The doctor said it was fine. My son continued to suffer throwing up everything he ate losing weight not able to work and hurting. I took him to Anderson ER they didn't do anything because they said it was acid reflux and wouldn't check for anything else finally my son got .insurance and went to Abbeville and they said my son s gallbladder was awful and full of large stones. And had been that way for awhile. Charge that big amount for a wrong diagnosis and letting someone suffer its not right I'm very disappointed. My son has been suffering for a long time. Was extremely helpful in getting the right answers that other dr.'s had give us the runaround. Will definitely recommend to anyone.

Our family loves Dr. Wortham. He recently did my colonoscopy. No problems at all. He also saw my husband for a hernia. Again very attentive listener and caring.

This was my second colonoscopy/EGD. Dr.Wortham was awesome! Bless, he even held my hand while I was being put to sleep...I was so scared. The office staff were also wonderful. The receptionists. Nurses, medical techs, surgical techs, and anesthesiologist way exceeded my expectations! They babied me and we’re just precious. I would highly recommend Dr. Wortham and his team!! Saved my life

Felt like an assembly line. Unable to provide test results after given a specific time to call. Two weeks later -still no test results. Unavailable to schedule appointment to review findings of test results. Final explanation of test results do not match pathology report and procedure date was incorrect.

This was my second colonoscopy with Dr. Wortham. Came in at 10:00, had the procedure at 10:30 and was out of the office by 11:15. Had the perfect amount of sedative. No pain and watched the whole event while it happened. Awesome doctor. Office staff is great. I can't image what could have made it any better.

Love Dr. Wortham!!!! He diagnosed my colon cancer and it was contained stage 1. Exactly 1 year later, he discovered a flat polyp in my mom. Flat polyps are very difficult to catch, so hats off to Dr. Wortham!!! Would never go anywhere else!!

I have seen Dr David Wortham for 20 years. His care for my well being is outstanding! He is very thoughtful and passionate about his work.

I found Dr. Wortham to be a dark and cold person. He did not seem to be concerned about my well being and was quite rude. I am now seeing a wonderful gastroenterologist and I am thankful to God for finally finding out what's wrong with me. I can only hope that Dr. Wortham changes his ways. The staff was just as cold and distant as he was, and the office could use a deep cleaning.

I was hospitalized in April for some several conditions that happened all at once. I initially went to the ER because I had been running a fever of 103 for 5days and I could not eat anything. I chalked it up to the infection. While I was in the hospItal, they sent in Dr.Wortham. He had ultrasounds ordered and told me that this office set up an appt time for me and we would discuss setting up a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. I go to the doctors office and there are 3 ladies behind the receptionist'a desk running a mock because they are so understaffed. I made my appointment 20mins early to fill out paperwork. By the time I was finished, it was my appointment time but did not see Wortham for 30mins. Once they called me back, Wortham himself didn't come back for another 20. Once he got in, he didn't have my chart, couldn't remember seeing me, pressed on my stomach and said "well, you like great. Call me if you need anything" I was in such shock. I finally asked about the procedures we were supposed to be scheduling. Heven looked at me and said "I'll prescribe you some suppositories and nexium. See if that helps". The majority of the Upstate doctors are only in it for the pay and it shows from the time you meet them until the time you finally see it. I am having problems and after appointments and meeting with Dr. Wortham, he told me to google a diet and maybe that would help. He didn't act like he cares if I was there or not, and he never told me what is wrong with me. I left in tears and so frustrated. I could have saved money and just googled my whole diagnosis I guess. Not friendly and caring at all.
