Dr. Dean Kravis

I have been going to Dr. Kravis for management of my Type 2 diabetes for the past year. He is very knowledgeable (he has both M.D. and Ph.D. degrees) and spends a lot of time with you. He is one of the best doctors of any kind I have ever had. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Kravis is the best endo I’ve ever met. He might come across as not friendly at first, but once you get to know him, he’s very personable, caring and intelligent doctor. You need to give this doctor a chance to get to know you. He’ll fill your meds without having you to come to his office for a visit unlike the other doctors do for the love of money. He’s not in this business for money, rather wanting to help his patients like me. His medical assistant; Ms Marisol is excellent, helping you with all the needs that you have. Dr. Kravis is an outstanding doctor. He has both M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. He is very knowledgeable, caring, listens to you, and spends a lot of time with you, especially on the initial visit. I began visiting Dr. Kravis because my diabetes was getting worse and I figured I had better get a specialist (an endocrinologist) rather than my general practitioner. My diabetes is now under good control (which it hadn't been), my blood pressure (which had been trending upward) is now down to my previous historic low blood pressue levels, I'm slowly losing weight, and I haven't had to switch to a very expensive drug like Ozempic or Trulicity, as I had feared I would have to do. Dr. Kravis was able to give me free trials of two expensive anti-diabetes drugs (about five weeks of each), but now I don't need them. Dr. Kravis is one of the best doctors I have ever had. I cannot recommend him highly enough. The waiting room could use some work, but that is greatly outweighed by the quality of this doctor. Dr. Kravis is an outstanding doctor. I was looking for a new primary care physician, as our doctor retired. I always carefully read the reviews to help me sort and make a right choice. I called the office in Des Plaines for appointment, its been 12 mins and I am still on hold. I have Grave's disease, had my thyroid nuked and have been on synthroid for 6 years.. Dr. Kravis is very professional and concerned more about how I feel than just looking at the blood test numbers. It has been very easy to get an appointment. I would give 5 stars but the waiting area needs some serious upgrades. It feels like the waiting room of a busy terminal. Doctor seemed distracted but ok. However, Office staff extremely chaotic and disorganized. Not friendly or helpful. Office needed a cleaning.

Dr kravis was fantastic in helping me with my hormone therapy as well as my thyroid issues very nice guy and knows his stuff would recommend

Dr. Kravis is thoughtful and thorough. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes with my last 3 pregnancies and he was my endocrinologist for each of my pregnancies. So grateful that each of my babies were healthy and delivered at full term--each pregnancy was diet controlled. Thank you, Dr. Kravis!

The administrator does not return phone calls. If this an indication of how the practice operates....STAY AWAY!!

I knew Dr. Dean Kravis for 6 years, very knowledgeable and caring. I keep seeing him, even though I moved to the city.
