Mr. Dean Lobovits

This guy is a genius. It's not all about "what do you think." He carefully navigates his patients out of what, if left untreated, is endless cycles of repeated behavior. I have used him on and off for over 10 years and I still go back to his notes on a regular basis. I tried many other therapists and no one has gotten through to me like Dean has.

Dean is a smart and talented therapist with many years of experience. I went to him for couples therapy and thought he was very frank, pragmatic and empathic. I continued to work with him individually and have seen him as needed for over ten years. His theoretical knowledge is excellent, and his ability to work with families, individuals and children is some of the best I have seen in the Bay Area. I work in mental health myself, so I am very picky about who I see and I feel very safe with him and very glad to have him as my therapist.

I've had a lot of sufferings from hospitalizations but prayer and therapy helped get me through it. Likewise, Dean has said some prayers for me and a number of them have been miraculously answered by Jesus Christ. I suffered from depression and the therapy helped overall. Since I've met him, he has gotten married and had a family and become a much better and more inspirational counselor. Impressive! Some of his and Epston's talk therapy is quite effective. He's good with educational goals.

Extremely helpful to me and my adolescent son. Lessons learned and strategies developed with Dean's guidance still supporting us five years later.
