Debra Shinkle

I've had Dr. Shinkle as my primary care doctor since I moved to Utah from CT in 2016. She is absolutely wonderful...always smiling and pleasant with a great sense of humor,i carefully listening to everything I tell her, extremely thorough, very patient, clearly explaining everything I ask about, and never rushing me through my visit. In addition, her assistants are just as great as she is...friendly, patient, thorough, clearly answering all my questions and concerns, etc. I always look forward to and enjoy my visits with her and her staff at the Stansbury Park University of Utah Health Center and Clinic.

What a joke apparently the on call for my primary and she thinks severe stomach pain and not being able to eat for days is not an emergency and someone to hangup on.....

Was the on-call for my primary and after telling her I could not eat, she stated was not an emergency and hung up on me. I sure hope Jordan Valley ER agrees..... if not than not only will the U hear but medicaid as well.....

Refused to address the problem I came in for. Did not want to read notes from other specialists not part of the U of U. Said that no doctor would want to do anything for me unless I took care of all this (waving her hand at my body). I asked her what her hand wave ment. She then said I was too fat, as if I didn't know. But it is a bad doctor who refuses to treat someone simply because they are fat. Don't expect help from her if you are overwieght.
