Dr. Blake and her staff are outstanding. She explained my condition and options very clearly and listened to my concerns and questions. I was really impressed with the efficiency, efficacy and post-op support. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences within the CMA/CMC network and am grateful for the efforts and care they all have provided. Healthcare in general is a headache but providers like these make a huge difference.

I had a total left hip replacement on 4/21/2022 and I am pain-free. I walked 1.5 miles yesterday. Dr. Blake expects I will have good walking for at least 20 years.

Dangerous, poor listener, condescending, unhelpful, hasty and uncaring. Go elsewhere.

There’s a lot to be said about a person who treats their staff poorly but to see the lack of bedside manner or care with her patients as well is an even lower level. Dr. Blake replaced both hips in 2019. When I get the time, I'll have her do my knee's. She did a great job, very little pain! Fantastic bed side manner. Talks to you so can understand. I've recommended her twice and they were very happy also.

DR Blake spends approx 5 min with you at each visit post op. She will not help you explore other thing to try even if you are 10 mts post op.and still in serious pain. She will sometimes go along with a test that you ,the patient suggest to try. Othertimes . she wont. I begged for a referral to a neurologist that could do a nerve block. She led me to believe that is what was getting. It wasn't. She sent me to a very nice young lady, but not a neurologist. I am already in bad nerve pain and I do not want to make another mistake. At no time ,pre or post op did we sit down and discuss the procedure in detail. She had no time and obviously no caring. She is no longer my doctor. Dr. Blake gave me about 5 minutes of her time, and was visibly uninterested in my case. I have had chronic shoulder pain for about 10 years, and have seeked help from countless groups -- MDs, accupuncturists, chiropractors, physical therapists, etc. Dr. Blake was by far the least helpful so far. She gathered some preliminary information from her PAs and I felt like the case was closed for her before she even opened the door on our visit. Never once felt like she was trying to understand my pain, injuring events, or potential paths forward. Her reaction was simply to refer me to yet another physical therapist. I left angry and confident I'll never use her office again.

She is direct, to the point and caring all wrapped into one fine Orthopedic MD

I'm a 61 year old who is very uncomfortable in hospitals. Dr. Blake made me feel very comfortable. I was in tremendous pain and could hardly walk. She replaced my right hip on 12-5-19 and my right on 1-16-20. She said I would love it and I did. Very little pain. Everyone treated us great. A word of advise, DON'T wait until you can't walk, it makes it harder on everyone. Why deal with the pain when Dr. Blake offers so much relief?

I'm a 61 year old baby who hates people. Dr. Blake made me feel so comfortable when she replaced my right hip in December that I had her replace my left hip in January. Very little pain and both hips feel great. She treated my wife and I great.

Dr. Blake is getting my husband walking again. He has been out of commission for the last two years due to his neck, back and hip. Dr. Kung did his neck.(great job but retired) Dr. Demopolis did his back (awesome results also) and Dr. Blake just did the most painful thing of all to Bob, his hip and he is finally sleeping at night without crying out in pain, taking steps without excruciating pain. As a wife who walked through it all with him, I just want to say a huge thank you to all. Dr. Blake in Ithaca is amazing and has helped soooo many people walk properly without pain. Praise God for her! I pray He blesses her mightily!! Its so nice to see him finally without huge pain.

I've been debating whether to leave a review because my experience was so unsettling that I've avoided wanting to speak up. Basically, Dr. Blake wanted to perform a knee replacement when one wasn't remotely needed. I'd come in with an inflamed, swollen knee and, after a first visit during which she was kind and patient, she pushed during a second visit -- which was to discuss an MRI that she wound up waving off with little explanation -- that there was no hope and when did I want to schedule surgery. She was curt and dismissive about less invasive options, which gave me enough pause to take a break on pursuing a remedy. Within two weeks after my second visit my knee (injured possibly due to over-exercise) cleared up on its own. My knee is perfectly fine today. Word to the wise: See Dr. Blake if you wish, but please, seek a second opinion!

Great Dr.

Dr. Blake is an exemplary surgeon with a bedside manner that instilled the assurance of concern. Personally the fact that she treats the patient and not just the problem is her most stunning attribute.

Dr. Blake is an exemplary orthopedist - for me, the best in the business right now! She is very pleasant, takes time to know your apprehensions, very knowledgeable about her job, and has very endearing qualities to patients - love her, and very thankful for the terrific care I got when I had arthroscopic surgery on my knee; helped me a lot in my quick and almost painless recovery! Dr. Blake is excellent. She has a good personality in terms of working with me as a patient and is careful and conservative (i.e., careful and prudent) in her judgements and approaches . Her staff (i.e., nurses) are always available by phone to answer questions and if busy return calls quickly. I strongly I recommend her.

Dr Blake on 10/10/17 did a total hip replacement and I can’t thank her enough. Dr Blake always smiling and caring . I will say Dr Blake said she would take care of me and she did.. I suffered with excruciating pain for years and finally it knocked me flat on my butt couldn’t do anything at the end.I have no pain and sleeping through the night without waking everyone up with the groaning I was doing. Please if you want a orthopedic Dr who knows her stuff Dr Blake is just a phone call away .

I think that Dr. Blake is wonderful and she has one of the best bedside manners I have experienced in some time. Dr. Blake is kind, compassionate and her integrity speaks for itself as does her reputation. I give her a 5 ?? rating across the board!

Dr. Blake is terrific. She is highly qualified, has great bedside manner, is reassuring and pleasant. She performed hip replacement surgery for my mother and her reassuring manner and pleasant disposition helped my mother get through it. She and her staff took time to answer questions and explain things in laymen terms.

I recently, at a relatively very young age, was not able to walk due to a diseased and failed hip joint. As a single mother and a nurse there was no way I could continue to be disabled. I did extensive research on education and training and success rates of orthopedic surgeons here in my home Ithaca as well as Syracuse and Rochester, and based on that chose Dr. Deidre Blake. I am now 5 weeks post-op and not only walking but dancing. My pain and fear is transformed to joy and I am so grateful

Dr. Blake is a good practitioner but the practice leaves much to be desired. Calling requires patience since you will be on hold for quite a long time. It is basically the best game in town so if you want decent care you'll put up with the bureaucratic rigmarole.

Although not typical with knee survey, I did not experience any knee pain following surgery for a torn meniscus. Dr Blake did a great job.
