Dr. Derald E Brackmann

I had stenosing external Otis in both ears. It’s gradual filling of the ear canal with fibrous resulting in significant hearing loss. He operated on both ears and stopped the loss. Forever forward when evaluated by another hearing specialist that person would be in awe that I had such surgery by Dr Brackmann. The best recognition of respect.

He saved my moms life ! My mom had an infection which was super close to brain. Dr. Brackmann did surgery without any side effects ! Dr Brackman diagnosed and helped me with my Meniere's disease for the past 15 years. He listens to his patients and makes the very best recommendations in treatment and plan of care. Best doctor there is with up-to-date knowledge.

Dr Derald Brackmann is a blessing to humanity! From the moment I met him, his jocular and caring demeanor put me at ease. When you're dealing with a brain tumor, that's a big deal. He, and the brain surgery team he coordinated, couldn't have been better, nicer, or more skilled. The middle fossa craniotomy I had was immensely debilitating, but they were there for me every step of the way during my very long recovery. Thanks to Dr Brackmann's skill, I have better than 92% hearing on the operative side. He was willing, and had the expertise, to dissect the tumor away from the auditory nerve, without severing it. Other, less skilled surgeons would have sacrificed it, causing total deafness on that side--which would not be helped with hearing aids--but he saved it. after a life full of suffering from aching, smelling, perforated ear drums and 5 surgeries in Washington D.C & Atlanta, GA, I went to see Dr. Brackman after receiving a House ear clinic magazine. I decided I would give it one last chance it would work. I was assigned Dr. Brackman, He assured me He will be able to successfully stop the infection and the aching and the perforated eardrum. He also assured me I would be swimming by summertime. I asked him why he thought he would be successful when 5 previous times it failed. He emphatically said because he is the best. True to his words I have had none of the above issues since 1988. I was so pleased I gave him my World Series ticket to the first game Dodgers/A's in 1988 ( with the famous Gibson Homer)

I saw Dr. Brackman 25 years ago he was the only one that finally diagnosed me correctly. It is because of this wonderful kind man I am no longer suffering from vertigo. He is a one of a kind gentleman for whom I will forever be grateful to.

Had my acoustic neuroma removed by Dr. Brackmann back in 1991. No facial nerve damage whatsoever and quick recovery. He's an incredible surgeon.

Back in 2005 I was Scuba Diving and ended up having a enter and outer ear infection, I was referred to a specialist within my medical group and the Dr examined my ear and thought it might be a tumor. She punctured the ear drum and a lot of black fluid came out. I was sent home and I went to sleep woke up and my pillow was covered with this black fluid, it then started coming out my nose. She referred me to Dr Brackmann at the house clinic. He examined me, squirted some kind of powder stuff in my ear and said I should be fine in a week or two. Well he was right and I’ve been heathy ever since and I’m still scuba diving. Sorry it took so long for this review Dr Brackmann and thank you for your service in the United States Air Force. I’m also a Air Force And Air National Guard Veteran. 10 years active and 10 ANG. Now my son is serving in the Air Force with 13 years and just sowed on MSGT. E-7. I thank God for every remembrance of Dr. Brackmann! His talent is beyond measure. He saved my life & did so without leaving me with any side effects ELST surgeries can leave ( A LOT!), except the anticipated hearing loss on one side & loss of 1 balance nerve. It was a harrowing & humbling experience for this Arkansas girl, even being a nurse, but I trust Dr. Brackmann 1000%! ??

Dr. Brackmann is an amazing doctor and surgeon. I am so thankful for him and his excellent and extraordinary ability to care for patients. I have had two different surgeries with the most positive results. They were 10 years apart and different areas of my head and neck. He has given me healthy happy years to live and love my family and friends. Basically, 5 stars are not enough measure for his medical practice.

Dr Brackmann is great! My daughter has had five surgeries on her ears, four of them by Dr Brackmann he saved her hearing. We are so blessed to have him as Valarie's doctor. Thank You Dr Brackmann!

He is a very great person beside being a very knowledgeable doctor. He treated us in a very caring and kind manner and helped us alot. I would definitely recommend him to everyone.

I cannot believe there are not more amazing reviews of Dr. Brackmann. I had surgery to remove a 3 centimeter acoustic neuroma on Jan. 10th., 2017 and I couldn't be happier or more grateful to Dr. Brackmann and his amazing team! Dr. Brackmann is knowledgeable, kind, soft spoken, gentle, intelligent, experienced and beyond capable. I can highly recommend Dr. Brackmann and I would rest in knowing you are in the care of one of the best! Thank you Dr. Brackmann, you were a blessing to me!

Dr. Brackmann is absolutely wonderful--he is second to none! He is by far the best doctor I have ever encountered. He is very passionate and caring, and he takes the time to thoroughly explain your diagnosis any answer any and all questions you might have. Dr. Brackmann performed surgery on my ear, and I am so glad we crossed paths. If in doubt, don't worry--you are in good hands with Dr. Brackmann!! He is a God send!!
