Dr Griner is absolutely amazing!!!

I would recommend Dr Griner to my mom, sister, best friend or anyone looking for a plastic surgeon. I have had two procedures done with him and I am beyond happy with my results. He listens to my concerns, answers all questions completely and I have felt cared for throughout the entire process of both surgical procedures. Dr Griner is the best doctor we have ever worked with! We have nothing but positive things to say about him! He took such good care of our son. I will be upfront in saying that Dr. Devan Griner is a relative. I had a lump in my back that was growing larger and larger each month. My doctor, said it was not an issue, even though it was causing sharp pains and numbness. I have had a history of skin cancer, and I was less than reassured! I decided to ask Dr. Devan Griner during a visit. He was able to fully remove the painful growth and assured me that it was benign. I am incredibly relieved! I am also free from the sharp, intense pain. I honestly wish I lived closer, so I could have an astute and caring physician like Dr. Griner. Dr. Griner is by far the best physician I’ve ever had! He made sure to explain everything and made me feel very comfortable before a major surgery that he performed perfectly! He’s very personable and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Our daughter was born with a very wide cleft palate and cleft lip. After extensive research, we found Dr. Griner and his team. He has been involved the entire process. He explains things well and prepares you for what is to come. Dr. Griner checks in with us regularly aside from appointments because he truly cares about our child. Our experience with Dr Devan Griner has been outstanding. When we met him, his demeanor with our son, J, was exactly what you’d hope for as a parent. He took the time to talk with J and help him understand, and educated us as parents on what was to be expected. When it came time for surgery, everything went smoothly and the scar - that stretches ear to ear - is practically impossible to find. Our son was undiagnosed before we visited with Dr Griner. He now has a confirmed diagnosis of Crouzon’s and we have a clear path of what to expect for the next several years of his life. Our son’s surgery was in the summer between K-1st grades, and changed his face structure drastically. Dr Griner visited with the students in 1st grade at J’s school, and talked about genes, how being different is so good, and how brave our son was. It was an awesome presentation. J now has all his friends and peers standing up for him. An otherwise trying experience was made easy because of his excellent doctor. Dr Griner is professional, caring, and a true life-saver. (Really- he actually saved my life!) He has gone the extra mile and beyond for my reconstruction surgeries. He is up to date with the latest skills, and I am so happy with results. Dr G has made me look and feel better than when I started this cancer and recon journey. I have talked to other patients of his-- with a variety a variety of cosmetic and reconstruction procedures, and they are all happy, too. I have worked with Dr Griner for years. He is ethical and does excellent work. He is one of the finest surgeons in the country. His work is not only the top in Utah but the entire country. Update*** I initially gave this a one star review. In conjunction with my first review I wrote. Dr. Griner himself called me and apologized for the mix up between his company and with converging with this new company. He really listened and was grateful that the matter was brought to his attention. Dr Griner was very pleasant with our initial appointment and on the phone. He handled the situation himself. Dr Griner was great to work with it, it was his billing department that was not representing him well. We will be happy to see Dr Griner again and I am grateful that he has honor in how his name gets represented . First Review** I took my son in for a free consultation for a possible mole removal above his lip. Dr. Griner was very friendly, talked to my son about football. The initial visit was pleasant. We left the office without paying because Dr. Griner himself confirmed that it was a free consultation. 1 year later I received a bill for that appointment. Spoke with the nurse (Robyn) who confirmed yes it was a free consultation and she would handle it so I would no longer receive a bill. Dr Griner has combined his practice with another company and the billing department is like a collection agency. Very rude. Month after month being told that the bill should be reversed and now almost 1.5 year after our appointment we are told that they will give us a discount, but the Dr didn’t know how to bill for his own appointments and that’s why they were hired to do so and we have to still pay, for a free consultation. I would have gone to this doctor for my sons mole removal, but because of this situation I believe his practice can not be trusted. You will get bill after bill, year after year. I have asked to talk to the doctor personally, since he was the one that confirmed it was a free consultation to begin with, and have not been able to contact him. My son injured his hand and I was told to have follow up with a pediatric plastic surgeon. Dr. Griner was very professional, kind and thorough in his exam. He visited with him about his interests during the exam and made sure that as a child he was comfortable with the process. The visit did not end with the office visit. He personally called us and made sure he was doing better. Dr. Griner's office staff was friendly and kind. They took my insurance information and copayment right when I entered so I did not have to worry about it. I would recommend him to anyone. I can't say enough good things about this doctor. He is the best craniofacial surgeon anywhere! My son has bilateral cleft palate and Pierre Robin Sequence. Dr. Griner and his team did a wonderful job on my son's jaw surgery and he repaired his palate so well that all of my son's other specialty doctors comment on the beautiful job. My baby is progressing so well and I owe a lot of that to Dr. Griner and his cleft team. To say I am happy I found him would be an understatement. He listens to his patients/parents and is so understanding and compassionate. He is also very confident in his work as he should be. Dr Griner has been wonderful to work with. After some unforeseen complications following my breast reduction, I was severely lacking in hope. Dr Griner never lost hope, he was incredibly optimistic, and I felt safe in trusting him. He has put together an incredible staff that exudes his same optimism. Dr Griner is a good surgeon unless your case isn’t straight out of a textbook. There are several people in the world that don’t heal easily, or prone to infections etc. Some surgeons and Doctors should realize that. And not be a coward and be willing to be honest when they don’t know how to fix the problems. Instead He chose not to answer other surgeons phone calls. And then never come back in the hospital to discuss everything.

Dr. Griner worked on my 6 year old daughter after a bad accident. He treated her as if she was his own and his work was perfection! He has been unbelievably kind to us and our situation. I have only great things to say.

I can't even explain how grateful we are that we chose Dr. Griner for our son's surgery. Our son had a collapsed nasal valve, not being able to breathe at all on one side. He had also had some cosmetic concerns for a long time. After surgery, it's night and day difference in how well my son can breathe for the first time in his life. Secondly, his nose looks amazing! Dr. Griner has changed my son's life and we can't thank him enough. We don't typically write reviews but this has been such an incredible experience from start to finish that we HAD to share it! Dr. Griner is precise and exacting in ensuring a successful surgery and recovery. He also has a great bed-side manner. His staff members are also friendly and helpful. Would recommend him to anyone!

Dr Griner is very thorough and honest about treatment and recovery. We were told what to expect and when to expect it. No surprises. This is especially important for our patient. Dr Griner and his staff are very considerate of your time and understanding of the individuals needs and treatment and concerns of his patients. We are very happy with the total care and treatment.

Our experiences with Dr. Griner have been exceptional. Our son was born with a cleft lip and palate and Dr. Griner has treated us like family as we've navigated through each appointment and surgery together. His passion for assisting children with craniofacial abnormalities shines through in both his office decor and how he interacts with his patients. He is professional, kind, and always gives us the time we need. We highly recommend him. to all!

I am a breast cancer patient and I choose Dr. Griner as my reconstruction surgeon. I could not be happier with my choice! His knowledge of my reconstruction procedures exceeded my expectations. He took great care in assuring me and answering all my questions. His patient care is beyond excellent. I would recommend him to anyone. Salt Lake City is lucky to have him.

I got my thumb cut clean off and he saved it. 100% 5 starts

About 2 weeks ago during a basketball game, I split my eyebrow/forehead open (about 1.5 inches long) all the way to the skull. Dr. Griner saw to my wound that night, even outside of normal business hours. He put in 14 stitches, and I can barely tell that anything happened to it! The scar is barely visible and is small enough that it should completely disappear in the next couple months! I would recommend him to anyone! Dr. Devan Griner is one of the most patient and kind doctors I've ever met. He is wonderful with his patients and although he is very intelligent, he is also very humble. He speaks to those around him in a way that makes them feel important, validated, and inspired. I trust him implicitly and highly reccommend him.

Dr Griner is the most caring, compassionate doctor we have ever had! My grand daughter has Apert syndrome and he is her Dr, he treats her, and us, like family. You could not ask for a better doctor!!!
