I want to warn as many people as possible about using this practice. I was recommended to see Dr. Page (Atlanta Perinatal Associates Newnan, GA location) following an ultrasound where my OBGYN detected an abnormal umbilical cord placement. During my visit with Dr. Page, he informed me that the umbilical cord was not a concern to him, but he had discovered that our child had a severe hole in their heart that would require surgery upon birth. After this discovery, he strongly pushed for me to undergo a risky amniocenteses (procedure to check for genetic issues and chromosome deformities). Please note that I was coming off of back to back miscarriages. I was very concerned about getting an amniocenteses as there is a chance that this procedure can result in a miscarriage and he was not very compassionate or reassuring when pushing this. Not to mention, our child had already received genetic testing and came back as clean, so this procedure was not needed. In addition to the amniocenteses, his office scheduled me to receive a MRI in Atlanta. Not only was a MRI completely unnecessary and irrelevant to this issue, that office never even contacted my insurance company to approve of the MRI. I had to cancel the day of the MRI and I was informed that had I gone, I would have paid completely out of my own pocket without even knowing it. After receiving such horrible news, we waited for several days from their office because they were supposed to schedule us with a second opinion to see a heart specialist. After two weeks of waiting, I discovered that this office had never contacted anyone for us to receive a second opinion. I ended up handling this issue by myself through a completely separate practice. I went to receive an ultrasound at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. It was there where a cardiologist confirmed that our child's heart was perfectly fine and there was not any trace of a hole in their heart. The doctor there said that the ultrasound we originally received was taken at an angle that it was not supposed to be taken at (inexcusable mistake) which could give a doctor the impression of a hole. I spoke with an administrator at CHA and they informed me that this Atlanta Perinatal Associates office by far leads to the most issues for them (late documents, inaccurately filed paperwork, missed diagnoses, etc.). My issues with Dr. Page stem from him pushing an unnecessary and potentially dangerous amniocenteses on me with my history in addition to suggesting a completely unnecessary MRI (ultrasounds were all that was needed). I have had multiple different doctors comment on how poorly this situation was handled. Overall though, my much bigger issue is with his utterly incompetent staff. They failed to get back to me when I had questions, they arranged for an MRI without contacting my insurance company, they failed to set up second opinions when they told me they would, and most importantly, they botched my initial ultrasound screening which lead to all of these issues. I want to warn any mother that receives discouraging news from this practice, please get a second opinion before moving forward with anything! I waited to write this review until after my (perfectly healthy) baby was born. I would avoid this practice at all costs if you have absolutely any other options. I want to warn as many people as possible about using this practice. Horrific! His entire practice should be ashamed of themselves! I'd leave negative stars if I could.

Two wonderful experiences with Dr. Page during both my pregnancies.

Went for a consult through another doctor and this location screwed up consult communication so we had to do a secondary consult meeting. Upon completion of consult this office requested ultrasounds every 4 weeks without medical necessity. Will be reporting to health and human services.

We love this center! Clean building and very friendly staff and Doctor Page is the best!! Would never think about going anywhere else. They care about their patients and that's the best feeling going to a doctor.

Caring, efficient, knowledgeable, yet takes the time to explain all concerns observed, even issues that would have impacted my pregnancy that my OB did not express to me. He is honestly the best. My only complaint is that he does not do deliveries. Absolutely the BEST!
