Dipti Itchhaporia

I’ve been a patient of hers for 25 years. My last appointment was brief , and not helpful. Instead of politely pointing out some key points to improve my health care, she scolded me . Extremely humiliating

Repeatedly missed warning signs for our Dad, ended up having to get emergency triple bypass, she gets angry when questions are asked during appts, much too rushy on appts for elderly patients.

Dr. Itchhaporia is a great physician. Her office staff is horrible. They lie about doing things they haven't done. For me to have any effective response I have to drive to the office and show up. I had a surgery clearance appointment Dec 30, 2022. As of today at 12 Noon, the clearance was not signed and faxed to my surgery team despite multiple calls from my surgery schedule and despite a phone call from myself last week asking for it to be done that very day which I was assured would happen. Today when I showed up, they told me the person who could finalize the paperwork was on lunch. It is 2PM. They would not interrupt that person's lunch and that person would return in about 1 hour. After a brief time, I went back up to the office to sit there and wait for this supposed person. At 2:15PM they handed me the paperwork. Miraculously, the person came back from their hour lunch. I will be looking for a new cardiologist, not because of the doctor but because of the ineffective office staff who are not truthful. Shame on them!!

Dr. Itchhaporia is a superb clinician and extremely caring person. She has dedicated her professional life to her patients, providing the best care available. Dr. Itch is excellent, and she tells it like it is! I depend on her for a strong heart, and I also have to do my part...lose wt. I highly recommend her

Dr. Dipti Itchhaporia ; I guess you must be her family or good friend or she must like you to get her attention. She can be one of the top cardiologist but very busy office, very busy front desk everything is so busy. I choose to go where I can get better care with smile face.

Dr Itchhaporia is very thorough. Her core values are spot on to whom I want to put my trust in. Another great feature of hers is that she shows you how much she cares. She makes it a point to get to know the patient not only as a patient but as a person.

There is always an issue. Can’t make an appointment, bill is wrong and follow-up appointments are not flexible. The front office is rude. Since they’ve grown into this new office system, they’ve lost their touch. Dr Itchhaporia is professional but out of touch with her office.

I have been a patient 11 years and she has always been short in her time with me but the last visit was unacceptable. I was having trouble with my blood pressure been erratic. She would NOT look at my numbers , said i could have made them up . Said to go back to my GP to deal with my blood pressure as she was done with it . I left the office in tears and called my GP as I was ready to go the ER . Found another cardiologist thank god whom took the time to help fix my blood pressure , apparently Dr Itchapporia had me on an old drug that was not good for my organs as well Please pick another cardiologist, there are a lot out there that are as good or better and NICER as a person.

Does not about you only money and tests, which she never tells you the results of and makes you feel worthless , rude, busy and does not listen , please pick another cardiologist

have relied on the advice and support of Dr. Itchhaporia for many years. She has not given up on me and has helped me lose thirty pounds and reduce my A1-C a full point. My heart arrythmia and blood pressure are under control too. Aside from her "tough love" style she has taken a sincere interest in my progress and frankly, I consider her a gift.

Dr. Itchhaporia is very knowledgeable and experienced Cardiologist. She tells it like it is, and I appreciate her candor. She listens and responds to all of your questions. I would recommend her to anyone .

I have nothing but the very best to say of my relationship with Dr. Itchhaporia. She is very busy because she is excellent at her practice. Still, she never seems rushed when I see her for an appointment. She is thorough, very skilled and up front. She has taught me to never say, "I know! I know!" in response to a suggestion she makes to me ON MY BEHALF! I am 57, thought I was very healthy, and have never had a heart issue. My primary doctor referred me to Dr. Itchhaporia after receiving a high CT Calcium Heart Scan Score. I had been having very mild but unusual sensations in my elbows while exercising that was intermittent. Dr. Itchhaporia was suspicious and after a stress test showing something, took me in for an Angiogram. 3 heart stents later (two in the widow maker) I am golden. I am most thankful, grateful, appreciative. I did not have a heart attack, am feeling great and am a huge fan of Dr. Itchhaporia. She is competent, direct and tells it like it is. No sugar coating. While I was and am still dumbfounded that I have heart disease, I am most grateful to this doctor. To think how close I flew to the sun....I will be here to see my kids get married, see grandkids when my kids are ready and have a new appreciation for the gift I've been given. And yes, she gets behind. I was the reason a few weeks back as the surgical suite was not to her liking prior to my first surgery. The good doctor would not proceed until she got what she wanted for my benefit. She was several hours late for her office appointments because of me. This is one great doctor. Dr. Itchhaporia is one of the best I have been to. She took time with me and listened to every one of my concerns and didn't rush through talking to me. She is very helpful with all her knowledge and extremely friendly even though I know there were others waiting to see her. I am unable to take all the tests that she would like me to at this time because my insurance will not pay for it, however, I will in the near future. I like her though she is a bit terse. My cholesterol was a bit elevated, but my good cholestral was also high. I am fit, reasonable weight, no family cardiac history and I eat well. She pushed me to get on statins ASAP and was angry that I didn't follow her advice. Found another cardiologist who gave me a calcium artery test. Results: clean with no plaque what so ever! Never should have been on statins. Must be easier for her to prescribe meds.

Dr. Itchhaporia is an excellent physician who is competent and caring. She is clear on the importance of exercise and weight management, but I would ask for nothing less. I have found her to have an excellent bedside manner as she has patiently listened to learn what was happening in my life regarding stress and my high blood pressure. The staff has never been rude to me and I have been seeing her for many years.

She is very disrespectful and her practice appears to be very very high stress. If you are looking for a kind, respectful, professional I would suggest looking elsewhere. I'm sure she is a great cardiologist, but not a very good people person.

Dr. Blankenbaker was the first cardiologist I ever saw. He was on staff at Newport Heart, and I really liked his approach with patients, realizing that most of us were really scared having to be in his care. Unfortunately, he left California for a short time and I had to find another cardiologist. Ironically, Dr. Blankenbaker came back to California years later, and when my wife started to have cardiac problems, I recommended him to my wife. Unfortunately, things seemed to have changed since my excellent experience with Dr. Blankenbaker. In the past, he was responsive, caring, and accommodating. This no longer seems to be the case. I’m sorry to say this, but we can’t accommodate Dr. Blankenbaker’s ridiculously overwhelming patient schedule when it comes to my wife’s health. We have taken her health—and our business—elsewhere. I made an appointment with Dr. Dipti N Itchhaporia, MD because I was having reconstructive breast surgery and needed a medical clearance before surgery, then her office called me and said she had another patient that really needed that appointment time, could they reschedule me, I said sure no problem. Now by doing this my scheduled appointment got pushed way back. Finally got in to see her, she seemed to be nice, asked a lot of questions, put me thru tests, gave me a prescription and sent me on my way. Within a few days I was told I had breast cancer and needed surgery right away, I called her office to schedule a new appointment as soon as possible for clearance for surgery and was told she had no openings. I had no other choice but to look for another heart doctor to clear me for surgery. I thought I’d be able to go back to her once the surgery was done but when I called her office back I was given the run around, was told they would call me back the next day to set another appointment, and that the doctor would call me back. That never happened, so I called the office back the next day to find out what had happened and was told since I saw another cardiologist she would not see me again? What? Are you serious? I was told I had breast cancer and needed surgery right away and you are pissed off I saw another doctor. I consider Cancer life or death. Please note that the 1 star review on this page is not about Dr. Itchhaporia, but about Dr. Blankenbaker. I've been under Dr. Itchhaporia's care for about 8 years. She is direct, informative, thorough, knowledgeable, and very nice to boot. I regularly recommend her to friends.

Office staff is very rude. Dr is very rude to staff. Arrogant physician. She treats other people like she is better than them. Very dismissive to nurses.

Very rude doctor. Very full of herself and poor bedside manner. Staff is rude and snobby especially the front desk.

She told me my sinus tachycardia was due to anxiety, without running any tests other than an EKG. And she told me it would go away if I would just calm down. Of course, I was perfectly calm while she was telling me this, despite the fact my heart was beating at 120. A patient being concerned about their condition does not mean they have an anxiety disorder. I found another doctor and have been diagnosed with autonomic neuropathy (which causes tachycardia), and am now under proper care.
