Dr. Baklanov is wonderful! He took the time to discuss ALL relevant systems and options with me-even lifestyle questions which I find rare for most doctors to spend time on. He’s kind, patient, knowledgeable, timely and thorough. Highly recommend!

I am young and every time I open the news, there’s a new story about a young person dropping dead of a heart attack. I explained that my father died at age 45 of a fatal heart attack. Yet he kept telling me that my family history was weak. Told me my husband “thinks he’s a doctor” bc he asked if an echo could be done. Poor bedside manner. 0/10

Dr. Baklanov is a great doctor, he has been my mom's doctor for about 5 years now and she is very pleased with him. This review is more so about the women who work in the front desk/the nurses that have been extremely RUDE to my mom & I SEVERAL times now. It is becoming an experience we expect at this point from them, even after talking to the office manager about this, nothing has changed. Same behavior, no matter who you speak to. We have never had a pleasant experience calling to schedule an appointment, follow up, or even getting general information. They are RUDE, DISMISSIVE, and have ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, and that is IF you are even able to reach them because 95% of the time they do not answer or return your call. Shocker. It is very unfortunate that a great doctor like this has an AWFUL staff and the only way to see him is to speak to these unprofessional women who lack basic customer service skills and have no problem cutting you off or hanging up on you. If you don't know how to speak kindly to people, maybe you shouldn't be in charge of answering the phone. Completely unacceptable and disgusting behavior. Dr Baklanov has performed two stints in my coronary arteries at St Lukes South Hospital. He used my wrist vice groin, making recovery so much easier. I was very comfortable knowing he was doing the surgery. He left us a chart of the heart and described what had been done and where. Highly recommend.

Dr. Baklanov placed 2 stents in my right coronary artery St Luke's South Hospital and Overland Park in 2015. I was very satisfied being & while under his care.

Great bedside manner-attentive and thorough and addresses all patient concerns. Stint placement using arm vs. leg made recovery ease & time much better. Highly recommend!

Poor bedside manner. Was unable to manage condition with subsequent little effort to find alternatives.
