Dr. Detmering was both my primary care physician at the VA, but I also considered him as a friend. I have worked with physicians all my life as an Audiologist. He left the VA, and apparently the city. Through Medicare I was hoping to find him to be my Doctor again. Being a VA physician is profoundly difficult. They assign you 1.5K patients with various needs. This is one of the best physicians I have ever known, and I have personally known hundreds. I miss his laughter and professionalism. He now works at Wilford Hall. They are so lucky to have this great Doctor. Dr. Detmering was both my primary care physician at the VA, but I also considered him as a friend. Excellent Doctor. Always witj a positive attitude and care. Highly recommended
Dr Detmering is very thorough and passionate. He learns the patients history, explains why he is making the decisions for care, and includes you to make the best care plan. He does not rush through the visit and manages to stay pretty close to appt times. I would highly recommend Dr Detmering.
