Don is a great listener, hears what you say, and asks forward questions that force you to see what you weren’t seeing. As psychologists go he is someone that I trust with my personal experiences, thoughts, and feelings. With his guidance I’ve had personal growth that has been exponentially beneficial to my mental health and life in general. No one can instantly “fix” you, but with sometimes often painful personal growth (some growth doesn’t hurt but in the end will make you better) and a third party who genuinely cares about your journey who’s literal purpose is to help you get on a path (possibly with or without medications) to get you through times in your life that nothing else seems to. It’s people like don that show you options and new opportunities you had not seen before because you were blinded by your emotions and thoughts in your own mind, and missed them completely.
