Horrible Dr.

He was a former phenomenal tennis player and understands human physiology like no other! I had nothing but great experiences with him and highly recommend Dr. Pompan!

He’s got a nice bedside manner with an interesting sense of humor and I can appreciate that. He’s a good diagnostician.

If there was an option to put a half of a star, I would most definitely give Dr. Pompan, if you could even call him a doctor, half a star. Most of the reviews prove that he’s arrogant, dismissive of one’s injuries and overall comes across as a bully. Aren’t doctors supposed to heal and help with recovery? It seems that Donald Pompan has forgotten that. Seriously avoid this man your body will thank you. His lazy attitude will suggest that you just do “stretches”. I have injuries one of which is my Achilles’ tendon for which this doctor has been “treating” since 2013!! I have not gotten better. This doctor needs his credentials revoked. The city of Salinas and Monterey bay deserve more caring and qualified doctor. I wish that I read Dr. Pompan's reviews before actually giving this excuse for a doctor such an exorbitant deductible. He puts little effort into diagnosing any sort of problem, Salinas Valley Imaging Center didn't sent him records and he didn't have the time to have them sent over so he told me that nothing was wrong without even touching or looking at me, basically he looks at how flexible you are and then sends you on your way. I could hear him insulting the patient he saw before me about how weak their back muscles were, and so could anyone else in the clinic because of how obnoxiously loud and arrogant he was being. If I were a patient thinking about seeing Dr. Pompan, I would avoid the waste of time and 'just do some stretches at home or find a chiropractor', that's all he would recommend anyways.

Dx'd with oa. One visit with Dr. P re knees and I was cured!

Arrogant, aggressive tone, condescending when responding to questions, insinuated that patients were exaggerating their injuries making me question his loyalty to his patients (or rather to the payors), spoke poorly about his colleagues when asked for a referral for a second opinion and alternative medicine
