Have been going to Dr Agnese for three years and the last appointment she was so aloof and hurried to get out the door. Quite a weird appointment that left me feeling dissatisfied, like I got only half an appointment. If the doctor chooses to not connect then I’ll start searching for someone else to treat me. Shame!!

I found Dr. Agnese an excellent communicator, very professional and extremely qualified. The Ohio State University Medical center is a top provider in cancer care. It is sad ???? that another reviewer is blaming her for a failure of the system. We must advocate for our families. Passive acceptance is not an option for you or me. Follow up, get three opinions, believe in God but not the system, sit up, stand up for your rights. Become an advocate for others. My daughter was taught this, now teach others. I had melanoma removed. Dr. Agnese and her staff were excellent---knowledge, skill, professionalism, warmth, caring, sense of humor---all terrific!

Completely uninvested in me as a patient. Gave canned information about my diagnosis and had no awareness of my specific medical history. In a post-surgery appointment, she was 2 hours late and spent 10 minutes with me. I do not have confidence in her ability and skill to keep me healthy. "Just watch things" is not good enough.

My mother went to Dr agnese the first time in 2007 for a mole on her arm that Dr agnese had removed and closed up with 22 Staples down her right arm. My mother kept seeing Dr agnese to keep (what we thought) a close look on her for any new growths or moles or anything worrisome. In early 2008 my mom had noticed a lump under her right arm near her arm pit in her lymph node that grew extremely fast. My mom Karen had told Dr agnese as soon as she first noticed it and her words to my mom was "we are big girls we will keep an eye on it" instead of further study and possible removal. This tumor had grown so fast before my eyes I couldn't believe it. As nothing was done about this and we thought to trust her doctor who has specialized in cancer for nearly 20 years, she had to know more than us right? Wrong. Absolutely wrong. Since nothing was done prior to this horrible growth on my mom, I being the middle child out of 3, went to wake my mom up on Christmas morning. Long story short I woke my mom realizing she couldn't move her left side of her body what so ever. She had a stroke and was taken to Riverside hospital. We found out Christmas morning of 2008 that my mom Karen had now 14 BRAIN LEGIONS. It had spread so viciously. Of course OSU the James being where my mom has went for all of this they had to be able to help right? They put her on chemotherapy and there was no progress. In mid 2009 we decided to switch to Cleveland clinic. Cleveland clinic as far as I'm concerned I would recommend to ANYONE for ANYTHING especially cancer. Cleveland clinic is far more advanced medically as they treated my mother with gamma Ray radiation with a combination of chemo. There was some progress but the melanoma was too strong for her to fight, it was every where in her body. I was told and I do believe if we could of in any way possible made it to Cleveland clinic a little sooner my mom would still be here today. I understand everything happens for a reason but I do blame Dr Doreen Agnese for her disregard of a tumor that killed my mom as well as her plain as day actions and words of carelessness. You do not tell your patient what she told my mother and you do not ignore a f***ing tumor the size of a golf ball. If I wasn't so young at the time I swear on everything I love I would have sued. I hope that my mom and my family are the only ones to experience this, and I also hope that if anyone out there takes the time to read this please rethink OSU and see what other options there are. My mother Karen Renee Bigelow passed away on October 29th 2009 leaving behind 3 children who have been absolutely lost without her, and if there was any way for Dr agnese to read this I want her to know that she has attributed to ruining more lives than one and I hope that one day even she wouldn't have to deal with what myself, my family, and my poor mom Karen did.
