No one answers the phone. I have been waiting for 1 hour to schedule an appointment. I'm on hold on my bluetooth as I write this review. I have been calling since the morning and no answer. No one calls you back after leaving a message and appointment request. This is ridiculous and unprofessional. They claim "we can help" but no one cares to help. If this is how unprofessional they are I can just imagine how unprofessional everything else would be. Explains the new reviews posted. Going elsewhere, where they actually care! Dr. Pugmire does not deserve even a star, but unfortunately with google 0 stars is not acceptable. From my first appointment after being referred to him 5 months ago, he has harassed me, quick to get in young girls pants and do checks for no reason no explanation nothing, scheduled surgery, failed to send the prescription to the pharmacy, failed to send the lab order through, failed to give me the paperwork for the lab order, pharmacy, almost every paper I needed for surgery, the one paper I did get for work they filled it out wrong. His office is a joke to get ahold of, any doctor, pharmacist, anyone in the health care field that tried to get ahold of them for me as well had the same trouble. He has lied, changed his story, failed to tell me the correct recovery stage after surgery, not to mention refuses to answer any questions because of time restrictions but has enough time too fully explain an IUD, any complications and insert one, but again didn’t have enough time to even answer a question relating the surgery he did. 4 1/2 months after surgery, he is still blowing off the pain that has only gotten worse in his care, I still have a lot of unanswered questions he is refusing to answer. If anyone has any questions about my experience as a patient of Dr. Pugmire, please ask I will be happy to answer and provide dates and examples of everything. Thank you Tara and the other 4 kind employees in his office that I have met but not spent as much time with, over the last 5 months. Dr. Pugmire performed a hysterectomy using the daVinci Robotic System because I was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer. He was very compassionate and reassuring. My experience was a 10 on a ten point scale. He showed great concern for my well being and kept me informed of what to expect during and after surgery. I felt confident in his surgical performance and his ability to keep me safe and cancer free. I considered myself fortunate to have him as my surgeon and Oncology Specialist. I am cancer free! From our first experience with this office, their non-functioning phone system and days before anyone returned our calls - I should have known we were meant to go elsewhere. Dr. Pugmire told me himself he "questions everything," however when I started questioning him about my mothers health and his treatment suggestions, he became defense rather quickly. What was meant to be a simple check-up appointment for my mother ended with him asking me to leave his office. My mother had an adverse reaction to her first dose of chemo which left her in the hospital for over a week. Dr. Pugmire denies any chance of this being caused from his treatment. He also refused to draw my mother's blood to check her white blood cell count today. Patient abandonment at its finest. If you are looking for a doc with terrible bedside manner and an inability to fully explain the situation in laymen's terms to an older woman so that she can understand whats going in ... this is the doc for you. Otherwise, I would highly suggest getting your second opinion before you tell him you are going to do so. He will throw you out of his office, too. Horrible doctor. He will mismanage your care and blame it on you and his nurse, Alicia. I was told he has too many patients and I needed to read my own blood levels. He actually got in my mother's face screaming like a 2 year old child. I ended up in the hospital due to his negligence and he takes ZERO accountability. If you want a better quality of live through this terrible process, avoid this man doctor and Ascension Providence.

He did my surgery robotically removing my reproductive organs as well as 95% of the ovarian cancer. There are tiny grains of sand scattered throughout my pelvic area that he will treat with chemotherapy in 6 weeks. If you read Dr Pugmire's reviews you will see why I choose him for my care. At first he was very kind, and I felt confident but he just did the surgery to remove the uterus, ovary and appendix and I had the first complication with heavy bleeding and curdles to 10 days after the surgery and my Son very worried called to let him know and he was very rude and looked annoyed, he prescribed me an altibitic and I took it but it did not help, when I called to let him know that I had finished the antibiotic and that I was still with bleeding, I asked him to give me a phone number where I could send images of the bleeding and he would make the decision if it was necessary to make an appointment at the end he gave me an appointment and when I arrived it was a nightmare ,he was very angry and rude to me He checked me and hurt me, zero information on side effects when removing the uterus and ovary as the extreme symptoms of menopause, my surgery was on 03-28-2020 in the middle of the pandemic! at 3 months I had to go to my Gynecologist for a new treatment

Dr is great but his staff are very poorly organized. For a month I call to schedule surgery and they never call back. It’s not like someone had the flu.

He did my surgery 5 years ago and it was a terrible experience. I went back to him after numerous times after surgery telling him about bloating and pain days and months after surgery, and he kept telling me it was normal. Eventually I went to Karmanos for a 2nd opinion. It was discovered that he lied on my records, never stating that he had put a drain in after surgery ( which is not usually necessary) and then removed it after only 12 hrs ( though it was filling with fluid beyond normal per nurses). I got an upper respiratory infection 2 days after surgery and the coughing was very painful. On my first post operative appointment I told him it felt like my stitches burst and he disregarded my concerns ( I have 3 hernias at those sights). My abdomen was full of fluid for 9 months and I wasn’t able to do anything without it being painful and swelling. If he would have admitted his mistakes and treated me for those issues, I would have avoided much suffering and pain. Michigan’s malpractice laws are to quick, because I deserve to be reimbursed the excess medical attention I required do to his blatant neglect of responsibility. He is an an arrogant liar. Dr. Pugmire is the best doctor I have ever had. He is an extremely skilled surgeon and has a great personality. He explains everything to you and really spends time making you comfortable. He actually was recommended to me from William Beaumont. That is how great he is in his field. My case is painful, complicated, and ongoing. Seemed like a nice helpful guy at first my sister was referred to him. She has been seeing him for 5 years for dysplasia, she’s had numerous biopsies and organs removed By him including her appendix because they may have been fibrous, they were not. He cleared her a year ago of any issues but at her one year follow up today he now has again seen “something”. I think this guy is knife happy and arrogant. I strongly feel she needs a second opinion.

This is my second occurrence with ovarian cancer. Dr. Pugmire has been my oncologist through both surgeries and followup care. Throughout this journey Dr. Pugmire and his excellent staff have helped me through with caring concern, professionalism, information and expectations. I would highly recommend him to anyone in my situation.

Sorry to ruin the 5 stars, I am very upset..he has good manners but he is supposed to be an EXCISION SPECIALIST!..I asked him before my endo surgery, "you're not going to do ABLATION ARE YOU" -because when you burn the endo instead of cut it it will come back sooner...- he said "no"..So I trusted him! 2 mo later Im in the same pain.???? It's back. Yes. I watched my surgical tape and it was ALL ABLATION!! My friends have told me to report him...Im conflicted.. The best Gynecologist Oncologist for womens health. He is very kind and personable. Will answer any questions you may have. He was recommended to me from my other Oncologist Dr. Wajahat Khan. I would not trade these two for anything. They are the reason and God that I am still on this earth.

I absolutely will recommend Dr. Pugmire to friends, family, even a stranger if asked. He definitely knows his specialty!!!! I was admitted through the ER. A cat scan showed a large mass involving my entire abdominal cavity. It was suspect to be cancer. After a 3 hour surgery, the mass, ovaries, and appendix all were removed. Dr.Pugmire, perform the surgery robotically. Amazing!!!! The great news was it was NOT cancer! It was a cyst, that developed on my ovary. He’s awesome!

Dr Pugmire is an excellent doctor. in 2008 I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Dr Pugmire did my surgery and has taken care of me since then. He did an excellent job with the surgery but also always has treated me with kindness and with care. I love that he always explains things well to me. He and his staff have quickly responded when I needed something, even now 10 years later. I now have to drive 1 1/2 hours to see him. But gladly do for this excellent care.

He fully explained what needed to be done and took the time to answer any questions I had. He was kind and put me at ease. I was taken very good care of.

I have had issues with cervical dysplasia numerous times. My OB/Gyn didn't have a good follow up in place with me for this. I seeked Dr. Pugmire and it was the best thing I could have ever done. His follow up with the patients is impeccable. His exams are painless. I just love Dr. Pugmire and his staff. You always know you are in good hands with Dr. Pugmire. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Pugmire is a miracle worker. I was a high-risk patient & no other doctor would perform surgery on me. He performed three complicated surgical procedures on me in a three-hour period & I went home the next day, feeling better than I had in decades. Dr. Pugmire is highly-skilled, knowledgeable, & extremely compassionate. He spends as much time as a patient needs in order to have all their issues addressed to their satisfaction. I would highly recommend him to any high-risk patient.
