Edward D Davila

My husband has had this dr. for the past few years and has had a horrible experience. He is NOT compassionate and caring. He ignores and dismisses your issues, gaslights you and he even spent time fixing his hair in the mirror while my husband was telling him about horrible symptoms he was having. Another time he was busy watching a sports game on his phone while seeing my husband as a patient. THATS LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF A COMEDY!! RIDICULOUS

Honestly he is the best doctor I have found, he actually listens to you and is willing to get tests done. Very compassionate and he is my go to now.

Dr. Davila has been my doc for several years, and I have always been treated well by him and the staff. He is an attentive listener who provides effective care, and does so in the most professional terms. He has sometimes gone beyond what most would consider the norm in providing for my care. He's not really all there. My medical records are all messed up now (why would you delete info and replace it with incorrect info?) Doesn't seem to care, feels like he retired years ago, but is still coming into work.

Absolutely horrific experience. Told him that I didn’t have insurance and therefore it was hard for me to make multiple appointments close together due to cost. Was trying to get my anti-depressants refilled was all. He told me over the phone that he “didn’t have to refill my meds if you’re going to be difficult.” I told him I’d be looking for another doctor. He’d previously said he’d refill 3 months. When I told him that I would be leaving he said he’d only refill one month then and hung up on me. Absolutely horrific experience. very good. very compassionate and with great bedside manners.

There are consistent errors by the staff that never get sent or referred. Dr. doesn't seem to recognize the personal details of his patients, and on interview doesn't acknowledge urgency of pain, disease progression, or individual personal details of patient care. I would not recommend anyone use this doctor or his services, you will be truly sorry for the attempt!

I have been seeing him for 4 plus years. He is thoughtful, kind and very comfortable to be around. He has helped me in more ways than I can say here.

This dr shouldn’t be in a office, I jus tried to explain my concerns and he openly told me he won’t listen, and he hanged up conversation, you guys be careful whit this man , he is very quick to prescribe medicine without searching patient issues

Worst experience with a Doctor ever. Not only did he tell me about another patient being shot in the stomach and going to jail breaking client confidentiality, he treated my elderly mother horribly. I read the reviews and see where it says he is very professional. I am just months shy of 60 yrs old and have never dealt with a least professional Dr. At my first and only appointment, he came in the room sat down in front of the computer, without even introducing himself and stated he would not fill a pain medication. I hadn’t even said a word to him. He asked why I was there, I told him I was looking for a new primary care physician. He asked what happened to my regular Dr. I told him I had no idea, that We were just told he would not be returning to his practice, after years of being my Dr. He asked my Dr’s name and I told him, he made a comment my Dr must have had his license pulled. I told him my concern is my high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. He stated I would need to see specialist for the shots I get in both hands for arthritis, a specialist for pain medication. He asked why I came to Des Moines, when I live in Tacoma, I told him that we had called a few offices to find a Dr that could deal with all my health issues and were assured that he could treat me. He would ask me a question, than interrupt when I tried to answer. To make this long story shorter, as it got progressively worse, he asked what pharmacy I used, I told him, and stated the only problems I had was filling the lyrica for diabetic nerve damage in both legs and feet, again before I could finish he interrupted to say there must be abuse! I told him no, that my Dr started giving me paper copies as well as emails to fill 90 days prescription. He said listen( and I quote)” you are going to die, and Medicare pays thousands of dollars and your dead with 90 days of pills that are wasted, now times that by thousands of people! To say I was completely shocked beyond belief is an understatement! He than said again quoting, Its obvious I don’t like you and you don’t like me and we’re not going to get along, I will fill your prescriptions, but you will need to find another Dr. He had said he would write referrals for the specialists, and told me to take it up with the front desk about being led to believe he could be my primary Dr and it wasn’t his problem what they said when making a appointment for a new patient and walked out! I was so startled and completely horrified by his, rude and obnoxious behavior. The last of this is‘This professional Dr blatantly lied on the follow up report saying I was aggressive and demanded pain medication!! I never once asked or brought anything up on any pain medication!! I don’t know what or who he see’s on a daily bases, but to down right lie on a report to cover his own lack of professional behavior is shameful!
