Dr. Edward Carwile Leroy JR.

I have been a patient of Dr. Leroy’s for almost 5 years. During that time I’ve come to like and respect him. In the last few month he has become unreasonable and very disparaging. Never had to leave a negative response to a doctor before. He has become, someone who is totally unreasonable and will not even listen to you. I am in his parking lot after being kicked out of his office. I paid my bill in full. I have come out here to what you know what my feelings are. Something is wrong with Dr. Leroy , he has become a different person in the last couple of months. All of staff has left and now new people have taken over which seem very nice but you’re not allowed to talk to anyone other than him. PA Pam is extremely nice but only works over the phone and he will not let you talk with that person any longer. Something in his personal life has disrupted his ability to be a competent doctor. I wish him well, but unfortunately I am moving on, and I would recommend you to move on to a different pain management specialist.

After a very pain filled year Dr LeRoy's office is where I've finally gotten relief. Thank You Dr LeRoy

My surgeon referred me to this kind man, as I am too old to be a back surgery candidate. This has truly improved the quality of my life. Thank you!

I went to see Dr Leroy because my pain doctor who was great went to Kaiser. I have usually seen the nurse practitioners. Since Covid I have had to take telephone calls from Leroy, they have never been pleasant and always has exhibited yelling in some fashion. I asked about his injury one time and said I was sorry. He said, “Why are you sorry, you had nothing to do with it, you remind me of some smarmy lady from the south saying oh you poor dear. I am so sorry. I dealt with this 30 years ago and I don’t need your sympathy.” Well after that I learned to say yes sir no sir. When he called this week I had run out of meds due to pharmacy issues. So I used some his nurse had ordered. He screened I could not be trusted and he would no longer be my dr and I had 15 days to find someone new. Maybe this has been an answer to a prayer I had yet to pray. I have incurable cancer + a lot more painful stuff and I need a caring dr to help me through my final days. I certainly don’t want him.

My mom recently had an appointment with Dr. Leroy, she left very upset and asked for her copay back, since she never received the help she was seeking. The appointment lasted less than 5 minutes. He is very rude and unprofessional. Not once did he look her way nor acknowledge her. He asked her what was wrong with her and when she answered him he replied back with "No, not what the doctors say is wrong with you, I'm asking you not the doctors!". He got extremely upset because my mom couldn't remember the month she was vaccinated and when she started to look for her card he got outraged and basically told her off for not knowing. She told him she didn't need this type of treatment and was going to leave and all he said was good I don't need this either, leave! Wish I could do more to report how awful this doctor is to his patients. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I was a patient of Dr. LeRoys for 3 years. He is a disabled physician in a wheelchair, not that this should matter, but may be the basis for his abusive behavior, as well as, a lack of professionalized treatment towards his patients. I learned very early on that Dr. LeRoy is rude, has a horrible bedside manor and is extremely unprofessional. Either one of daughters or one of my assistants who would accompany me to an appointment with Dr. LeRoy, would become so appalled at his treatment towards me, I found them abruptly leaving the room, because, as they would explain to me, if they had not, they would have told him off. I spoke with his staff asking if there was someone else in his office I could see and why I was making this request. The office staff informed me they receive a lot of complaints from Dr LeRoy's patients, the same as mine. I was scheduled with a Nurse Practitioner. Every Nurse Practitioner I saw I found to be caring, paid close attention to your pain issues and took the time you needed to deal with any new issues you were experiencing. Unfortunately though, Dr. LeRoy's Nurse Practitioners must experience the same complaints and problems with Dr. LeRoy as his patients, because he cannot keep a Nurse Practitioner employed in his office, for very long. Soon after you become established with one Nurse Practitioner, you show up for your next appointment and your being told you are seeing Dr. LeRoy, because the Nurse Practitioner is no longer working there. I went through at least 4 Nurse Practitioners in less than 2 1/2 years. I believe Dr. LeRoy gets away with his abusive behavior towards his patients, and concerns of same treatments towards his Nurse Practitioners, because of their frequent turnarounds in his office, is due to the fact that Fresno County has so few pain management doctors, who are willing to take on the government to prescribe pain medication for those patients who are unable to have their pain controlled by injections. Prior to leaving my review I would like to say that I am a Clinic Psychologist and relatively new patient of one of the most unprofessional MD`s I have ever encountered. I broke my neck in an automobile accident in 1999. I am an incomplete Quadratic. Prior to going to see him I had only been to one Pain Specialist in my life. That Doctor wanted to prescribe Oxytocin. I said absolutely not. Fast-forward to seeing Edward I saw he worked with spinal cord injuries so I decided to see him. I certainly wasn't drug seeking, the reason I went to him was his specialty NOT medication that I was already getting from my Primary Doc. I had couple really bad weeks of pain so I called to find help. What a mistake, he`s a Paraplegic and apparently overcompensating for his lack of physical functioning. If I treated my patients 1/16th as Rude as him I would quit practicing. I would recommend that he seek professional help!!

Dr. Leroy is an awful person and doctor! He is a handicapped person (no problem) but he takes it out on patients who aren't. He is extra hard on patients and does not really try because he assumes if he could work, so can everyone else. He is so unkind and the way he speaks to his patients and the way he treats his patients, IS NOT OKAY! In any kind of professional field, you must leave your bias mindset at home! If you are looking for a GOOD and CARING Doctor, do not waste your time with Dr. Leroy. I had another family member deal with him for physical rehab and he was unkind and unhelpful then too! He is very rude and disrespectful

After 4 weeks I have been unable to get the 3% Topical gel. Prior Authorization gal was "behind, over whelmed". Took 3 weeks to get the "pain patch". Same reason. Love the Doctor but getting perscriptions filled been has been a nightmare.

I have been seen by both Dr. LeRoy and LaDonna. I get great care from both people! They listen and take into account what you're saying instead of interpreting to tell you how you should be feeling. While the staff are usually quite busy, they remain friendly and professional. The waiting area is comfortable and accommodating. The Doctors can get behind and sometimes the wait can be frustrating but the care received is well worth the wait! The only reason I don't give them five stars is the wait. Love this office. Real people treating you like a real person. Staff know how to handle insurance and pharmacy ; doctor's are engaging, involved and obviously keep up on issues.

Dr LeRoy is a very knowledgeable Physcian with great bedside manors along with a very caring and understanding attitude. He is always open to answer any questions you may have and is never rushed. Office staff is very efficient and friendly. They do a great job in scheduling appointments, for the wait times are very minimal.

As a performing pianist and a grandfather, my back pain was excruciating. I almost dreaded my upcoming jobs. My orthopedic doctor referred me to this kind gentleman. His nurse practitioner LaDonna was courteous, helpful, professional, yet friendly. Maria, LaShay and all of Dr. LeRoy's team members are exceptionally helpful. The doctor himself is a wonderful listener and a very compassionate human being. Fresno is extremely lucky to have this fine physician! I am so grateful to be his patient.

Dr LeRoy your staff did it again I guess I’m gonna have to come see you every month because as I’m leaving your office you take care of my Scripps well I called in five days ahead of time I even had a pharmacy call in and remind them and they didn’t get it filled and it’s always on Friday now I don’t have any medication first it’ll be three days before Monday gets here and the type of meds that you have me on you know as well as I do I cannot go that long without anything your staff is going to cost you my business and I like you personally We get along just fine just you and I only office and we’re talking but your staff is inadequate compared to the other doctors I go I go to the doctor so I see a lot of staff and I’m giving you a heads up they are not doing you any favors and I’m not gonna mention anything names on this list I’ll tell you in person but I know you know who I’m talking about

Dr. Leroy and his staff by far exceeded my expectations. I’ve been a patient with them for just over a year now. Ladonna Holt, NP really takes the time to listen to your concerns and takes the time to look at your charts history to come up with the next plan. Although I was being seen for a routine visit, Dr. Leroy himself took the time to investigate why my arm was hurting and had me go to get a scan on it immediately. He found a DVT, which most doctors would have brushed off the arm pain as if it was sprung. LeShay at the front desk and with the referrals department is by far the best coordinator I’ve ever seen. She’s sharp, prompt, and very pleasant to talk to. Honestly, I’m not sure how she does so much, but LeShay truly makes the dreaded doctors visits and calls very pleasurable. Great doctors, great staff!! I highly recommend Dr. Leroy’s office. Dr. Leroy and his staff by far exceeded my expectations. I’ve been a patient with them for just over a year now. Dr. LeRoy is a very good listener and really tries to help his patients. It's obvious that he's not a doctor that just writes scrips and gets patients in and out like a revolving door. If a treatment or remedy doesn't work for the patient, he offers alternative options and recommendations until the patient receives satisfactory results. I'm truly grateful to be a patient of Dr. LeRoy.
