Nice guy but not a good doctor. Doesn't return other doctors calls. When you do get sick he is MIA!!! Wife waited three hours with a swollen face and rash from head to toe to show Magee. He finally sent out his nurse to say nothing they could do. He diagnosed her with allergies. WRONG....Ovarian cancer!!!!!

I have always have had a great experience. Office and tele health visits are an option that makes life easier. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. Everyone is so nice!

Simply the best!

Tried to make an appointment for my mom and they said because she missed her first appointment in 2019 that they will no longer take her and that she needs to find another doctor. That is so ridiculous and out right STUPID. It's been 3 years, this office seems like a joke.

Super angry!! Husband and I have seen Dr MaGee for two years now with no issues and have been happy however my husband has been saw the Dr. and stated his discomfort and pain in his Right Hip, Dr Magee wrote an Rx for an x-ray, which showed "slight arthritic changes". I spoke (not visited) to an Orthopedic specialist (Doctor - not staff) that asked Please request get an MRI Rx from Dr. MaGee (beings he wrote the x-ray prescription and the our insurance will not be difficult) so we could avoid a two week delay in an Orthopedic visit and additionally we asked for an anti-inflammatory Rx to help with the pain...Per staff, Dr. MaGee comments was "no on the Rx for the MRI, and go see an Orthopedic and no on an anti-inflammatory just take Tylenol"!! Are you kidding, we went to a Dr. requesting assistance and without bridging the gap for us he tells us to take Tylenol!!!! SO MAD right now I could spit nails!!!!! Made an appointment online, printed a confirmation, showed up for the appointment, they claimed there is no appointment made, even with printed confirmation in hand. Dr. Ed Magee is a fine doctor, but staff, and customer service and online appointment system need to be improved !

I recently moved to Lake Mary, which meant giving up my long time doctor. I have found this office and Dr Magee to be very good. I have been seen on time and he took his time during the visit. I feel that I am in good hands.

Good Doctor. Support staff is rude. I made an appointment a month in advance. They cancelled the appointment and did NOT communicate with me (although they claim to have tried to reach me). Had been Dr. Ed Magee patient for a while now (13 years) and trust him dearly. His medical approach during this whole time, has been the preventive medicine approach, examining me doesn’t end there, he reads every line in the lab work received (results) and shares his concerns and make on the spot recommendations towards the betterment of my health. The name of the facility “Lake Mary Family Physicians” couldn’t had been named better, as everyone in this office, Christina (receptionist), MA’s: Jessica and Jodie are AWESOME, and if there’s a general question, it’s handled by the office manager, Ms. Leah Cruise, who more than once have coordinated insurance related issues pertaining to me or my family members, they all make you feel a part of their “Family”. The entire staff, from front desk, nurses, to Dr. Magee were amazing. Dr. Magee is the best doctor I’ve ever had. Takes the necessary time to listen and answer questions without rushing. He doesn’t lecture you, but rather talks about solutions. This was an exceptional visit. Well done Dr. Magee and staff.

After reading some of the bad reviews I've decided to leave mine in that respect. I was reading some people complaining that the doctor didn't prescribe them anything. Well, that's exactly what I like from Dr. Magee is that he won't prescribe you anything unless you really need. Don't expect a Rx just because you are visiting the doctor. Get Tylenol if you have a headache, don't ask for pain killers. If you walk out without a Rx, that's fine, you just don' t need it. I like from that easy and casual approach: if everything is fine, then that's what it is... just fine -don't try to fit a square peg in a round hole. Very impressive Doctor and personable as well

Dr Magee does not play well with other specialist’s. He goe’s against the specialists diagnosis. He doesn’t listen to you and treats you with contempt and is a egotistical individual! After over 2 years I am ready to move to another practice.

Routine annual wellness exam

I finally found a doctor that I am comfortable with and can talk to about my health. I feel he is truely interested in my well being and that is why I have been a patient of Dr. Magee for over 8 years.

It was my annual visit. The staff was efficient and professional and Dr Magee was very through with my exam and the discussion of my labs. He offered a solution to my health issues that we are working on now. I have been seeing Dr Magee for over 5 years and would highly recommend him.

I have never had a problem getting an appointment when I need one. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Wait times are very reasonable and that is appreciated because they understand that my time is valuable. I have always been treated with respect, listened to, and given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the prognosis. Dr. Magee has earned my respect and gratitude for his expertise in solving any problems that might arise. This office ranks high with me because they are up to date and knowledgable. It is very important to have a physician who continues to expand his knowledge in the ever-evolving medical field. I am very comfortable placing my healthcare in his hands.

Dr. Magee is the best: I moved to this practice a few years ago and I've been so pleased. He is very thorough and really listens--intently. I never feel like I'm being rushed during an appointment. He explains matters very well. He's been on-point with all recommendations.

My husband and I have been Dr. Edward Magee's patients for almost two years. All this time, whenever we needed it, Dr. Magee was always willing to listen to our problems carefully, he explained the course of the treatments and their implications. He never recommended a radical treatment from the beginning, first trying lighter treatment options, always being aware of side effects. I have been a patient for 10 years, I have always loved this practice. First time I had to reschedule my appointment for my annual physical, in 10 years BTW, I could not get in for a month. I am on medication that causes severe side affects if you go off cold turkey. I asked 3 times if he would extend my prescription for just 1 months until my appointment. I was told 3 times no. I am in the medical field and this in unacceptable. Knowing what this does to a person and still saying no, I am still in shock. Where is the compassion? My son has been a patient of Dr. Ed since birth -as the whole family goes to him. Yesterday- he had to get his shots for seventh grade and had a melt down. The kids had talked it up as to how painful it would be-and I knew he didn’t want it but had no clue how deep the fear had gone. The nurses were so calm with him and they- along with Dr. Ed, where able to give him his shots. They told him how to prevent the pain- by moving his arm after- and he has been pain free. He is telling all his friends that it’s not so bad and how to prevent the pain. We love Dr. Ed and his staff!

Dr. Ed, Leah, and the rest of the LMFP team have excelled in performing as my primary care physician team for going on 20 years. Dr. Ed is extremely knowledgeable but explains technical issues in language tailored to his patients. He is both a great doctor and a great friend. You are treated like a human being instead of an Insurance Claim. Staff and Doctor listens to your concerns and you have access to your health records via HEALOW. They use the tech to spend more time with you. Being in the Hospitality business it is very nice to see a Practice function in a care giving manner. Glad I choose Dr Magee and his team

A person should be able to refuse to be weighed at a doctors office, I need offense me at this doctor refused to see me unless I got on the scale. I am not obese but I am chubby and found him to be very blunt to the point of rude

Both of my children have seen Dr.Magee from age 11 to 20. He is amazing with his clinical skill as well as his bedside manner with the kids as well as with me giving us his undivided attention and addressing all issues. I would highly recommend.

I went on December 19, 2019 was tested for the flu, and tested positive for type a. He prescribed Tamiflu, and within a week I was fine. Actually less than that, because I had to be at a church service Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day of course with family, the flu is gone, and all is well.

Dr. Ed Magee is easy to communicate with and I feel like my good health is a real concern of his, and he genuinely cares. I have already recommended him to several friends and family members.

There is NO better Dr. than Dr. Magee in my opinion! He is very honest and upfront and tells you exactly what the issues are and how he will address it. My visits are basically check ups which probably should be annual but tend to be way less frequent than that. I've always appreciated Dr. Magee's candor and no nonsense approach.

I have been treating with Dr. Ed for almost 10 years. He is such a caring, motivated provider. I will not go anywhere else unless I move. Seriously, I would drive an hour. He keeps up to date on medical research and is current which speaks volumes and it is a must when treating patients. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt at ease. From the front desk, Ashley, then to the physician assistants, Jody and Jessica - all professional and welcoming with a comforting smile. Dr. Magee? The type of physician one hopes to find. Professional, soliciting the questions to perhaps things/conditions that as patients we are not as forthcoming as we should be. I've found my physician as has my daughter and, I'll be setting up an appointment for my son soon.

I went to Dr. McGee and to the female Dr in his practice. I had a pap done by her and asked her if I had a bacterial infection she said no, that was December, then still had symptoms so went to a gyno and she could see my results from Dr. McGee's office and said I had a bacterial infection and they should have prescribed medication for me. Also, Saw Ed McGee and I have anxiety which causes my heart to get excited and instead of prescribing anxiety meds wanted to prescribe me beta-blockers to slow my heart down. He was aware of my heart rate of 60's while sleeping but still wanted me to take it. I agree with previous review their out for money for appointments. Unfortunately, my experiences with Lake Mary Physicians and Dr. Magee have been extremely disappointing. Not only did I have to wait four weeks for a simple prescription to be called in (after several reminders) but I had to walk out of an appointment after waiting 1 hour and 10 minutes to see Dr. Magee. I get and appreciate capitalism, but doctors shouldn't take on more than they can handle. In the end, it will only hurt their business. We just moved up here and now I need to find another doctor. Bummer... On a side note the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I see a lot of positive reviews...perhaps i just have bad luck. Great place for a check-up

Fantastic Doctor personable and super efficient since we moved here over two years ago my entire family of 5 go to him and he takes excellent care of us all!!! The staff is also very professional, kind and lovely.

ive read some of the comments im going to base them on just a bad day. if there is anyone who will question anybody about anything without fear of consequences its ME!. ive even quizzed Magee on some things and he has always been spot on. im very much into nutrition and health. he is about the best General Doc ive ever visited who knows his S***. its not that hes afraid to prescribe pain killers its if you dont need it he wont give it Period, to much of an epidemic with being hooked on pills. we are a family of 6, 43 all the way down to 14 months old. and outside of Nemours in Lake Nona, no one else sees my kids. WATCH OUT! YOU MIGHT NEVER HAVE YOU PRESICRIPTION SENT TO YOUR PHARMACY! I went the see the doc at 9am and got the prescription and was told he will send to my pharmacy right away. I verified the pharmacy information so i thought its all good. At 8 pm I walked to my pharmacy only to find out there's no prescription! Called the office next day, MULTIPLE times. The office staff were rude and arrogant. No apologies. said they will take care of it but No action taken. Its day 3 and i still don't have my medicine i needed. Its ridiculous. STAY AWAY! WATCH OUT! Dr Magee is unfortunately like many other doctors that are only in it for the money. He turns patients very quickly (I know because I could hear 2 different appointments while waiting for mine) and then my appointment lasted a total on 2.5 minutes. I had a really bad inner ear infection (in both ears), he stated my ears were "screaming" and he prescribed me antibiotics. When I asked him what to do for the pain he shrugged his shoulders and told me "tylenol, and the antibiotic should heal it almost immediately"... I'm not doctor but that doesnt sound very comforting, or correct (because it wasnt). He then stuck his hand out to shake mine, said "All set", and left. I actually had some other questions for him about a different medication I was on but I was rushed out so quickly I did not have a chance to ask. I called later and asked if there was anything else he could suggest or prescribe, and hours later the nurse offered me to come pick up what was a sample pack of 800mg ibuprofin..... Advil. Look, I wasnt looking for a months worth of pain pills to go on a bender... just 5 or 6 low dose pain killers that would help me not cry myself to sleep that night in pain (which I did, because the Advil did not work). Dr Ed Magee is not willing to take the "risk" to prescribe patients pain medicine when they are needed, it clearly makes him uncomfortable and he would rather just send a patient away in pain. He is also a revolving door for patients, and only takes 1 question/issue at a time. SAVE YOUR MONEY - either go to another doctor or go ask for advice from the pharmacist at walgreems, because they will probably "prescribe" you the same OTC medication that this "doctor" would. If Dr Magee or anyone in his staff read this, I wont be back... but I urge you to take some more time with the patients that you have an provide them with proper healthcare. Humanity and empathy SHOULD be a huge part of what you do, and Dr Magee does not seem to care about anything but the co-pay.
