Dr. Edward Wang

Dr. Wang is simply amazing!! Four month of no answers and misinformation from my previous surgeon and he diagnosed me and presented me with a solution in one visit. He spent an enormous amount of time working through what was going on with a very complex issue with my finger. He listened intently, spoke with purpose and explained the testing he was doing as he moved through the examination. He answered my questions honestly and directly. Moving forward with hope is priceless! I left his office feeling better than I have in months! Thank you!

Dr Wang's office staff are professional and caring. I had emergently requested a time slot to see Dr Wang, due to a deep cut I accidently received from a broken mason jar, and they kindly helped me. I loved my experience with Dr Wang and his staff. I will return because I need a surgical procedure, to repair my thumb nerve that I severed, and I look forward to thanking the staff for their warm welcoming the patient that was fit into the schedule.

Dr. Wang conducted a thorough examination and reviewed all of the MRI and x-ray findings. Outstanding physician. Explanation was detailed, and a treatment plan was devised to address months of intolerable pain. Highly recommend Dr. Wang!

Dr. Wang and his team were very professional, fast, and courteous during my recent visit. They set me up with an MRI which was scheduled quickly. I will update my review after completing my treatment with their team, but so far, so good.

Great experience. Dr Wang and his staff explained everything that would happen after his diagnosis. The entire staff was thoughtful and procedure was almost painless. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Terrible bedside manner. Incredibly rushed. After a MVA and 9+ months of pain his treatment recommendation was to just go home. 100% recommend finding someone else that will actually care.

Dr. Wang was exceptionally helpful and accommodating in my questions and needs.

Dr. Wang was recommended to me by another orthopedic surgeon who doesn’t do the type is surgery I am in need of. After speaking with Dr. Wang I felt very comfortable as he explained what the surgery entails and answered all of my questions, gave me several options and ensured me that I made the right decision in going forward with the surgery. I am truly blessed as to having Dr Wang do my surgery.

Very thorough, professional, and personable. Dr. Wang didn’t rush me out of the exam room and took the time to explain my issue, my options, and answer all my questions.

Dt Wang is awesome! Had surgery on a totally ripped rotor cuff in 2013 I was able to board amd do everything o loved doing after physical therapy. He did an awesome job on my shoulder . Went today for severe tennis elbow couldn’t move he injected me with cortisone and it was painful/ thank God I am home amd several hours later the relief of pain is in incredible! Dr. Wang was very professional. Genuinely cared about my injury, and took the time to find out what the root of the problem was. I would trust to see him again the future, if needed!

Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. I was taken on time for my appointment. Dr. Wang was very calm and pleasant and explained everything to me very well. The most amazing thing is that I received a call from their front desk that the MRI I need was pre-authorized before I even pulled out of the parking lot! Great care!

Dr. Wang and staff was very thorough and nice.

Very detailed and explained all my options. I was not rushed at all and took time to answer all my questions. I highly recommend.I had a complete reverse shoulder replacement. I am very pleased . I am back to playing golf , and I have much more mobility in my shoulder with no pain

My first visit with Dr. Wang and his students. They were all professional. He was thorough in explaining my choices of treatments and the surgery option was explained in great detail.

Quite often, I have been to doctors that speak down to me and make me feel small. Dr. Wang explained everything, gave me a chance to process what he said and ask questions. He and his staff were patient, sensitive, kind and caring. Everyone tried so hard to make my experience a pleasant one and for that I am very grateful!!

Dr Wang and his associates were amazing and extremely professional. Dr. Wang operated on my elbow in 2008 and I have full range of motion. That is why I came back to him for my carpal tunnel surgery.

Dr. Wang is a miracle worker, calm, kind , patient, great communicator - extraordinary surgeon and he loves his work. He is beyond amazing both interpersonally and medically. He saved my career by spending the time to research my metal allergy. One month shy of a year later, my wrist has close to 100% range of motion, zero pain and deformity and my titanium plate is serving me well. After taking a fall I was experiencing tingling in my hand and lower arm. After having X-rays done, I was promptly seen by Dr. Wang who listened intently to my story. It took him no time to make a diagnose and reassure me that my symptoms were temporary and would resolve with time. I would highly recommend Dr. Wang and SB Orthopedics.

I saw Dr. Wang for two small tears in my shoulder this morning. He is very educated in his field, honest and very open with you. I saw Dr. Wang to figure out what was causing the problem I was having with my shoulder. After introducing me to his “virtual assistant”, talking with me, examining my shoulder and taking measurements he made his diagnosis. He offered several solutions. Dr. Wang was very professional, very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. Everything was recorded by his virtual assistant so that he could make eye contact with me during our conversation rather than typing his notes on a computer. This guy was abusive to my wife. Said she hadn't been wiggling her fingers enough since her surgery and then threw a hissy fit before storming out of the room. Some bedside manner he has. Will be making a formal complaint to Stony Brook!

Blew out my right wrist on motorcycle accident. Dr Wang and his team preformed to platinum performance surgery and physical therapy.

Dr Wang is both compassionate and smart. He listens. He is not quick to prescribe medication. He observes the whole person and understands the body system and how it operates. I think he is fabulous!

I learned about Dr. Wang of meticulous approach when I showed up in the ED with a broken arm. It was easy to schedule an appointment with him and he planned extra time for my skin to recover from the blister before surgery to minimize the risk of infection after. I went home the same day of the surgery and after a few agonizing months going through physical therapy, my elbow nearly regained full range of motion. Dr. Wang's PA Alex was also very helpful and assisted in every step of my recovery. His is the man to go to when it comes to surgeries of hand and arm. The doctor was very good at explaining everything in detail. It’s unfortunate that the lady setting up the appointment is terrible. I would love to see him more often for my hand issues but I I could do without the attitude. It would be nice if we could make appointment with him but I know that’s not the way it works. I give doctor 5 stars and appointment schedule none.

Friendly and caring staff

Dr. Wang and his staff have done 2 surgeries for me.. I sought his services for my first (spiral fracture to my fibula) in 2002 and then was lucky to have him repair my biceps tendon 4 weeks ago. Dr. Wang and his staff are awesome in every way... comunications to every last details, caring, follow-up, friendly and the most INCREDIBLE SKILL as a surgeon along with his staff. I will continue to recommend Dr. Edward Wang to anyone in need of an orthopedic doctor/surgeon. He will help and care for you... period. Had amazing experience with Dr. Wang and his staff. Every time I go its a quick and painless process, they explain everything and they're wonderful. I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident and had a highly comminuted distal radius fracture. He got me into surgery asap after being transferred from another doctors care that couldn't perform the reconstructive surgery. Wasted no time in diagnosing everything and took very good care of me. Couldn't have asked for a better hand surgeon!
