Elaine Moreland Apperson

TERRIBLE!!!!! If I could give her zero stars I would. I have never experienced a doctor that simply did not care as much as she does. My son is suffering from Hashimoto's a thyroid autoimmune condition which causes fatigue and weight gain. Endocrinologist are suppose to be the expert doctor for this condition. Her response was we don't treat children for thyroid issues because the medications are not safe for them. She said he should just eat less. This was ALL false they do treat children for this condition and they use medication to treat. Most uneducated endocrinologist I have ever seen. DO NOT take your children to this doctor!!!! you will not receive the help you need.

Today we saw Dr. Apperson and everything we read about her is true. She is the sweetest doctor and actually listens to your concerns and makes you feel better before you leave her office. I would highly recommend her to anyone for your child if they are in need of deeper information regarding their health needs.

Dr. Apperson is the nicest, sweetest, most kind caring doctor you could want for your child. My granddaughter/daughter, I raised her from age 2 when we lost her parents. She has been seeing Dr. Apperson since she was 7 years old and she's 18 now and has to go to an adult doctor . It broke her heart, but she knows if she ever needs Dr. Apperson in the future, Dr. Apperson assured her that she can always come back to her. She had been a blessing to our daughter Shyanne Watson for 11 or so years. 5/14/21 Thank you Dr. Apperson for being the perfect doctor for her. Dr. Apperson is the best! She was my pediatric endocrinologist from ages 16-25 and I truly wish I could have stayed on with her as my adult endocrinologist! Dealing with type 1 diabetes is difficult in a general sense, but being a young person with this disease, you feel completely overwhelmed and even helpless sometimes.Dr. Apperson was always so kind and very knowledgeable during my appointments and helped ease a lot of my anxiety that came with type 1 diabetes. I have two kids with special needs and we see all types of doctors and frequently, and I have never met anyone as COMPASSIONATE as Dr. Apperson. She is completely focused on how to help your child (and you), and is very respectful in the process, making sure the parent is in agreement. She is smart, kind, and humble. She takes all the time in the world to make sure you completely understand what the plan is.She answers messages promptly. She cares. I just cannot say enough good things about her.

My 9 yr old daughter had an appointment this morning. Dr. Moreland Apperson was not only knowledgeable and thorough, she was very sweet in dealing with my child. She spoke and listened to each of us at length, taking her time. I left her office feeling very confident in our plan of care.

We love, love, love our child's doctor, Dr. Apperson. She really cares about her patients. She has advocated for us with our insurance company to help us get what we need for our child. She has called me personally to discuss care. She is always available when we need her. She has developed a relationship with me, my child and every family member who has taken my child to an appointment. She always has a positive attitude and a kind word. She is the most personable doctor I have ever dealt with.
