Elizabeth O Hexner

Dr Hexner has been my MPN specialist for the past 5 years. She is very intelligent and knowledgeable about MPNS. She is always accessible to me via phone or the portal. I see her every 6 months and she keeps up with my bloodwork every 2-3 weeks. I find her very easy to talk to and she is caring. I do not feel rushed during my appointments with her. The staff is amazing and I do feel my illness is under control. If you are having a procedure (bone marrow biopsy) ask questions.. you have to be your own advocate.

She suggested I should do this bone marrow procedure. But she fails to mention any information about. What to do before hand. Nothing. If you want a doctor that tells you nothing. This is your doctor.

Initially Dr. Hexner's bedside manner is rather abrupt but when you find out that she is a very good doctor, you change your mind about her. I was initially turned off by her but grew to admire her knowledge and personality. A very good doctor who is well respected by her peers.
