When your child is sick (visibly very sick) and you take them, you will get told to go home and give then water and tylenol. Then when your child's cold develops into a chest infection, you will get told that they can't help you with a prescription or antibiotic unless you come in again. (Yet another office visit co-pay for them). Meanwhile, your child will be the one who suffers as a result of the office's incompetence. Sad, because we really liked it when we first came here. It's so disheartening to know that when you're worried about your child and want the comfort and help of your pediatrician, that you will not find that reassurance and help. I'll be leaving this same review for their Ft. Myers location since we went there too.

I was a patient at this practice since 10 years old and then I established my son. I’ve never had any issues. I recently had a new baby and tried to establish him but was told my first son was dismissed and neither of them can be established. I’ve called many times for weeks to speak to a manager and no one had returned my calls. I spoke to Amy today who told me my son was dismissed for “personal reasons”. I am the mother. Why can’t this be disclosed to me?! Now I’m left to find medical care for my children without even the decency of knowing why this establishment has denied them.

To be honest I'm surprised to see negative reviews. I was a patient of this practice since the age of 12 years old and so was my husband ; and now my 2 kids age 6 years old and 2 months old are also patients. I have NEVER had a negative experience. They have always called back same day when I call with any questions or concerns, have always accommodated appointments around my schedule and have always been pleasant. Shout out to Dr.Troast and Vince and to all the staff for their hard work and dedication to our babies ESPECIALLY during a pandemic. To be honest I'm surprised to see negative reviews. I have 24 years in this office, they are professional and excellent care with all four of my children.

I would not recommend this office or the nurse practitioner Elizabeth. Or Dr. Seitz. My daughter is 3 weeks old and we are currently in the hospital with her because she has been having breathing issues for the past week. She would stop breathing after feedings like she was choking and would even turn blue. The doctors at this office kept telling me it was reflux and that she was okay and for me to feed her normally and told me feeding her 4oz at a time every 2 hrs was “perfect for her weight” she’s 8lbs. i thought that was absurd and way too much but they told me to so i did. Comes to find out we have been over feeding her and it’s making her reflux worse and almost got to the point of fluids going into her lungs. I’m furious that all her doctors made me think i was crazy for thinking something was wrong with her and that she was fine. She almost died. I love coming to Island coast PEDs. The doctors and nurses are respectful, nice and have good attitudes. I barely have to wait to be called for my daughter's appointments. You can even select which doctor you'd like to meet up with at the next appointment. Just love it overall, 2 thumbs up.
