Tried to reach out for gender transition related care multiple times with no answer, only to finally have someone call back and tell me they "don't treat trans"
I haven't even been able to get ahold of anyone. I've left many voicemails over the span of a week and a half and nobody will return my calls. It's insane to me that I've tried calling this many times and left messages, I even did a contact form on the website. I don't understand what is going on. And they're basically refusing to call me back at this point when I'm just trying to get in for an appointment.
They don't respond the phone messages.
I need to check in with an endocrinologist once a year for my hormone therapy as a transgender man, and that's too much Dr. Eisenbud for me. I kind of brushed off him being kind of short with me and not being "totally pc" with his language as him being older, it's something I'm used to with doctors so I don't really care that much and can deal with it. Doctors are overworked, they only get 15 minutes scheduled per patient and usually go over that, I try to make things quick and easy any time I'm in, and I don't mind if my doctor is late for the appointment. I get it! Last time I was in though, I could hear him from another room (the walls are unfortunately pretty thin in this facility, which isn't GREAT for patient privacy) being pretty friendly with a patient, talking about lawns and yards and stuff. No big deal! Eisenbud comes into my room and gets right to it, the usual, but I try to bring up some questions and concerns I have, like asking who I should talk to to get a hysterectomy, should I start with my PCP or my gynecologist? But he just doesn't answer and asks if I've looked into genital reconstruction surgery in San Francisco. Then I ask about hair loss, because I've been experiencing it since I was 22. He brushes me off saying, "Yeah, it's supposed to fall out." And I go okay, but I have no family history of it and I'm only 25. My father is 60 and has a full head of hair, not even gray. He says, "Well, you want to be a man? Men look like me when they get old." (He also has male patterned baldness). And I immediately understand he doesn't actually care about his patients, or at least my issues, and I'm not welcome or safe here. If it's because I'm transgender I can't really say because it looks like other patients have problems with him not addressing their concerns, but I wouldn't discount it as a factor because I'd be surprised if he said the same thing to a cisgender man. I'm putting this out as a particular warning to other transgender people undergoing HRT or wanting to, he's not going to help you out or address any concerns and doesn't have a problem with your care as long as you're in the "normal" range. Switch groups or do whatever you need to do, just find someone better. Even if you're not transgender, just find a doctor who actually listens because if you have a problem it doesn't sound like he'll do anything about it.

I tried to call them today (April 15, 2021 at 11:23am) for my mother’s appt. and they wouldn’t pick up. Finally when a woman picked up after the 5th call they just hang up on me. You guys seriously need to be more professional. This unacceptable especially my mother is diabetic and needs to see the doctor for her medication.

The front office is unprofessional, rude to patients, and have no compassion. When I call the office can’t not get through . I’ve had many other doctors try and contact the office and cannot get through or a call back . I am new to Sutter and had chosen Dr. Eisenbud as my PCP. He may be an excellent physician, but my first appt was canceled at the last minute because of his office manager's incompetency ,disinterest in dealing with the issue, constant misinformation and contradictions. She doesn't respond to calls and unfortunately the blatant lack of patient service transfers to her staff. I literally called a dozen times in two weeks and even had a conference call with the office and my insurance. But there was no interest in resolving the issue. Obviously this practice does not want new patients. I have to agree with all the negative comments. I was a CMO of one of the largest hospitals in PA and have never witnessed such unprofessional behavior. Of course, I will now find a new PCP. I have to say the back office runs smoothly , Dr. E is great he and very thorough. The unfortunate part is the front office is rude. I got yelled for not bringing or wearing a mask, I am vaccinated and no-one in my 6 feet perimeter... Funny thing 2 patients ( elderly ) walked out of the office with no mask.
I though I would be the first one to make this review but not surprised to see all these reviews. Definitely the worst customer service. Have been to the office twice to assist my sister with her health issues. The staff doesn't have any compassion and are quite rude if you ask them to do thier job. They then asked us to come back in at 245pm for a different doctor in the same office. They were over 30 mintues late without any care in the world. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend to anyone. I have been putting up with their poor customer service for a couple years now. I love the NP Liesel, so it was worth it but no more. This office is not about quality patient care or service. They close for weeks at a time, do not respond to other health care providers (my Sutter surgeons for continuance of care) and when asked questions are extremely rude and unprofessional. If Sutter assigns you this Doctor’s offices, RUN! The other Sutter offices are shocked by their behavior. I’ll be filing a formal complaint with Sutter as well. Fair enough...except they wait until the same day as my appointment, after I've already taken a day from work, to tell me. Worse, they call me while I'm *on the way there* to my appointment. Poor phone service. They do not use email for anything at all, which severely delays procedures, pump supplies, and prescriptions
This place is a joke. The Dr has no interest in you at all. My prescription that I take 3xs a day forever he gave me 1 a day for 14 days no refills. Now I can't even get them to answer the phone. No voice-mail so I can't leave a message. DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE AT ALL !!!
I was just yelled at by one of the receptionists because I was frustrated when I got a call from my insurance stating they have tried to get in contact with them 3 times to try to get me on my CGM. Worst service from receptionists, and billing departments. Threats and so un professional. Doctors are great but not worth the hassle with payments and no Receipts showing the full amount of payments. I stick around because of the doctors but once they started charging more out of the blue and won’t provide a receipt or response. I have declined services from them. Very rude and very unprofessional people. I waited more than a month for my appointment but at last minute i received a call and got cancel, I tough it is OK and rescheduled the appointment for two weeks later, Two weeks later i received a call that the appointment is cancel again. in Voicemail i was told that Dr Eisenbud is in leave and will be back Feb 2nd but when i called, even the receptionist or who ever she was yelling on me and i was told that Dr. Eisenbud is sick and he is in hospital. Sadly I have a poor review after my second visit. The front desk receptionist was quite nice and the young man who did my vitals was nice. I spent 2.5 hours total driving time to visit the doctor upon his request to go over a boat load of blood work he had me go through including a bone density test. The dr had paper work in hand. I had to ask him what my A1C numbers were and he said they were good. I asked what the numbers were. He said he'd forgotten! It appeared he was in a hurry and I forgot to ask him what was the result of my bone density test. So the visit was useless. I asked the really unfriendly woman behind the desk if she could look up my A1C number and was able to do that but not able to get any results on the bone tests. 2.5 hours of wasted time, $80.00 of wasted money and $20.00 of wasted gasoline. They're always changing their phone numbers they have more than one number and still all of them don't work I have to go to the office in order to make an appointment and they never return phone calls back

I am 40 and this dr’s office is the worst I have ever had. I have never had a dr change my RX WITHOUT testing once. These guys changed my RX each time i went to go pick it up. I've been seeing Dr. Eisenbud as my primary care doc for years. He's old school (which I prefer in a PC Doc) and excellent. When he was forced to sell the practice to Norcal due to illness, the place went to hell in a hand basket as far as the very critical support staff is concerned. Once Michelle left, it went from bad to worse. Calls not returned, delays in prescription refills, etc. I would not recommend to anyone. Once Dr. Eisenbud fully retires, I'm outta there. I would not recommend this office to anyone, I have never had an issue with the receptionist staff, the Dr did make an off color joke but that was neither here nor there. The real issue is when you try to get through to get a refill from Deanna the gal who handles this, who coincidentally is also the office manager. I have dealt with her for some time, she never returns multiple voicemails and when you actually catch her on the phone she doesn't really listen to what you're saying, she talks over you, and makes it very clear she has not paid one bit of attention to a thing you said. After two weeks of trying to get a refill she actually does it and then sends it to the wrong city, after specifying in voicemail and on the phone with her which facility to send it to. then it takes another 3 attempts to get a hold of her to remedy her. Staff is very rude even if you're in pain, waiting room is 100 degrees, staff doesn't care. I went in for a disc issue Dr barely looked at me, said staff would be in touch with referral, no call. I took my mother in for her diabetes to see Dr. Eisenbud. We had a good experience. The wait was short and staff very nice. Dr. Eisenbud is a very nice and knowledgeable doctor. We were happy.
I like this practice a lot. The girls in the front and very nice and helpful. I needed some referrals which were done right away. I see mostly the nurse practitioner, but saw Dr. Shlesinger a couple of time. I am well taken care of. If you need a doctor, I would definitely consider this office.
It is hard to find a doctor's office today that is not too busy for you, but this office is exactly that. The 1st visit Dr. EIsenbud was short with me and I chalked it up to a bad day. Second visit, he was disdainful, condescending and dismissive. He forgot everything we discussed at our first visit and had none of the documents I gave him. After less than 10 minutes with me, he left and I could hear him mocking me to some staff. Apparently he thought my questions were stupid. I don't think he likes people and he definitely does not listen or care. Office also bad with refills. Not going back.

I cannot stress enough the lack of engagement from this doctor. He as primary care doctor failed to report blood results indicating severe anemia for over 8 mos with at least 4 blood test results going to his office. He has failed to follow up on a blood test which showed a blood sugar level of 39 which is extremely dangerous and life threatening. I am beside myself with confusion as my husband has got a major heart problem, diabetes and major back fusion recovery going on. This dr is bad!

When asked about a medication, Dr. Eisendbud said, "Don't you watch TV? Haven't you seen the commercials?" He complained about the insurance paperwork when we needed a referral for a medication, then the referral was never sent TWICE. The medication was a new long acting insulin that he had given us samples. It worked great, but needed a referral. After several phone calls, the referral was finally sent but denied because if was done incorrectly. Back to more calls to MD, so frustrating!!

As a Type One Diabetic, I called this new office for pre-visit lab work to be discussed at my visit, but I was told that the doctor orders those after the appointment. Odd. Of greater concern was that during the appointment, he was dismissive and condescending throughout. At no point was he supportive, encouraging, or at least pleasant and helpful. I left the visit upset. Clearly, this is not a caring doctor.
