Dr. Eric Colton

Dr. Colton has always taken his time to answer all my questions. He went through every detail with me and my family to assure we all informed before and after surgery. Highly recommend.

Dr Colton is very attentive, friendly and is experienced. He made the time to answer all my questions to help me understand my options.

Very punctual office visit. He shared his medical background & how he came to SLO. He confirmed why I came in for an exam. He gave different options for me especially during this Covid-19. Will surely go back if I need to do one of the other options.

He took his time to answer my questions. When worried about getting my staples out after a c-section he was caring and told a good story to distract me. He shared about his medical background and family life. Seems like a good family man and that he cares about me and my family as a whole. He was the doctor on call when I had my baby and I liked him so much that I actually ended up switching.

Attentive, excellent surgeon, highly knowledgable, and good bedside manner. I credit my successful delivery of twins to Dr. Colton's skills as an OBGYN and passion for quality care.

Dr Colton is not a clever doctor. He is unethical and not sympathetic. He made a surgery that had severe complications and infected wound.

Great doctor. Always a pleasure at the office with him.

Dr. Colton was excellent during my pregnancy and after having to undergo an urgent c-section he extended my hospital so I could remain in the hospital with my son who was in the NICU. He takes the time to answer questions, takes steps to make sure I’m comfortable, he’s professional and went above and beyond for me.

Dr. Colton is an excellent doctor and very happy with his professionalism and his bedside manner. I was told I needed to see a gynecologist immediately and even being a new patient, once Dr. Colton read my final diagnosis report he saw me immediately. Dr. Colton never makes you feel rushed and he takes the time to explain what is going on and makes sure he answers any and all questions you may have. He also has an excellent working relationship with Dr. Christopher Lutman who is the only Gyneoncologist in SLO County and due to that relationship, Dr. Colton was able to get me an appt with Dr. Lutman within a very short period of time which I was very grateful for. I will gladly recommend Dr. Colton to women who need a gynecologist.

Although I do not have a problem with Dr. Colton himself, I was a little surprised to have a male nurse in the room during my exam. In all my years seeing a gynecologist, the nurse in the room was always female, including my two previous visits to Dr. Colton. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I am thinking of looking for another gynecologist before my next yearly exam.

Dr. Colton is amazing!! His bedside manner is extremely professional and he is confident, compassionate and calm. I could not imagine anyone else delivering my son. He truly knows his stuff and has a great sense of humor. During delivery, he was cracking jokes and making me laugh, which was exactly what I needed being a first time mom and not knowing how the processed worked and what to expect. Every office visit was enjoyable and my husband and I always felt comfortable asking questions. I highly recommend Dr. Colton!

No compassion. No standards of care .will not go back

Nice man; seems interested in listening, answering questions, spending enough time. Dr. missed what turned out to be a fungal infection even with two exams, a phone call, and an e-mail. Miserable, I went to my regular doctor whose medical assistant tried 3 meds in combo which did finally seem to work. This all took 2 1/2 months of misery. Assistant made comment at my last visit that I had now been seen 5 to 6 times for the same thing. In reality, only twice. Dr. was done trying to figure it out.

Smart. Caring. Compassionate. I’m not sure there is more you could ask for in a doctor. His bedside manner is professional, and when I have questions about my health he assuring and supportive. The whole staff is timely, efficient, and always go above and beyond when it comes to patient care. Thank you to everyone in that office.

Excellent, kind, professional doctor. My doctor retired and Dr. Colton had availability in his schedule. In fact he even makes early evening appointments available for working women. He was gentle with the Pap and knew to have the instruments warmed. His nurse Jasmine and office staff Cassandra and Allison were all professional and efficient. I highly recommend this doctor.

Great experience from beginning to end. I was referred to Dr. Colton for immediate care & he was the best! I came to him with a terrible past year of major medical issues that hit me out of the blue hospitalizing me for 2 months. Dr. Colton's care for me before, during & after my hysterectomy took in to account all of my past medical needs & limitations. He left no stone unturned. He was very personable showing genuine care for me, I would never go to anyone else. Highly recommended!

I was wary of going to a male gyno. But Dr. Colton is awesome! He is very personable, takes time with his patients, and is gentle and professional. The female medical assistant is in the room during the exam, which helped put me at ease. I feel so relieved to have found such a great doc!

He was amazing during my pregnancy and giving birth. He is very professional and knowledgeable ob/gyn. Would go back to have a second baby and would recommend him to other patients.

Dr Colton was the on call doctor when my daughter was disch. from the Marian. I've never personally met this doctor but he was on call for my dr. I asked for him to call in a prescription for my daughter for nausea meds he was very rude. No compassion at all for the patient. He told me he would be going into surgery and would call in my daughters prescription after which happened to be after the pharmacies closed. Rude, Rude, Rude! Never recommend to anyone!
