I would recommend Dr.Heimberger to any one if you need a KNEE REPLACEMENT..He's the Best you won't be Disappointed !!!

Definitely the most unprofessional and non-communicative office staff I've ever known. They hardly ever answered the phone and never returned a message: neither Sharon nor Stephanie replied to one message out of a couple of dozen. As for the doctor, I had to wait ten weeks to see him for a follow up and he never forwarded results to my other doctor as he had promised. We have used this office on several occaisions with our two son's sports injuries. The doctors and staff are excellent! We highly recommend them.

Dr. Heimberger is awesome! He remember me from 6 years ago. He gave me the OK to start jogging again. No stair master, lunges or squat like exercises (too hard on the knee). I need to wear a specific type of knee brace (while jogging) and nsaids PRN for any pain. This girl has mild Arthritis in her knee. No surgery required ????

Dr. Heimberger and staff were EXCELLENT! He replaced my right knee around 8 yrs. ago and my left in Aug 2020. Expect a little wait, but you are seeing a specialist surgeon. PA, Chris and all nurses address any concerns or problems, in order to resolve. I have recommended him to Several people.

I was told because by first doctor I needed to lose 100 pounds first. I could barely stand let alone walk. My physical therapist and family doctor said please give Dr Heimberger a chance as a second opinion. Yes, his office is crazy busy and his schedule is tight but I would wait an hour to have him as my surgeon. For a total knee replacement I was walking day 1. It is a tough surgery but one month out I am moving my fat diabetic self and in pt and doing stairs and totally bending that knee ahead of where the goals are set. My scar is barely visible and I only take one pain pill before PT but that is so I don’t have pain moving my leg to positions I haven’t done in forever. I went from barely moving with a cane and my husband helping me to walking without pain and no assistance at all.

Living in the Boston area a made the choice to have my hip replaced in Little River where I have a vacation home. I chose Dr. Heimberger after reading a bit about his education and reviews left by former patients. I could not be happier. My recovery was quick and I was back to walking without assistance after just a few days. I did not even have bruising at the incision. I will be back next year to have my other hip replaced. He is the best I could have hoped for and I recommend him highly.

I had a hip replacement and all went very well. Recovery was very quick. I would and have recommended Dr. Heimburger to others

He is very kind and compassionate and takes time to really listen. My husband had him for and emergency fracture of the hip and was so caring. Would reccomend him to anyone needing an orthopedic.

He did a TKR on me. It was painful from the very first day till it was replaced by another surgeons a year later because it came loose. That too had to be replaced a year later. . It is thought that the original TKR was incorrectly done thus causing all the other issues. Never would I recommend this Dr to anyone.

I was suffering terribly with a bad knee and my doctor that I was using for 5 years he wouldn't perform the surgery because I was a high risk. I was thrilled to find Dr. Heimberger. My surgery was in June. I never had 1 ounce of pain. Dr. Heimberger is an angel. He's the BEST.

Had a hip replacement in October 2018 and scheduled for a knee replacement in October 2019. Dr. Heimberger is an excellent surgeon, much better than the Texas orthopedic surgeon I had for my other knee and hip. I highly recommend him.

Excellent physician. He was compassionate and caring. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I went to Dr. Eric Heimberger for a knee problem. He spent as much time as I needed to understand the problem with my knee. He told me my options and made sure I understood those options. I will need knee replacement in the future and will return to see him when i'm ready...

Excellent. Best orthopedist doctor in southeast IMHO. I had been experiencing terrible pain in both knees for over two years. Doctor Heimburger explained what was wrong, showed me the x-rays, and explained to me what had to be done to fix it. I had TKR on both knees, (did my part with P.T. afterwards) and have been pain free for almost two years. I know others who sing his praises. I had two surgeries before this and they did not work (meniscus repairs). So lucky I had this doctor.

Dr. Heimberger and his staff are awesome! They all worked together to get my brother into surgery as fast as possible. Even though there were a few roadblocks, they made it happen! Dr. Heimberger ia an excellent Orthopedic surgeon, my right total knee replacement is on the way to being a perfect surgery. I had no worries or concerns. He had an excellent caring and professional manner. The staff were excellent and the Physical therapy department truly is involved with stringent therapy to get the leg moving and and bending to heal correctly!!!! I am a new patient of Dr. Heimberger. I have had 4 knee replacements. My first (right knee) got infected and had to be removed and a new one put in. Then I had the left knee done this year. I was traveling an hour one way from to my orthopedic facility. There was always a waiting period so it took most of a day to go to my follow-up appointments. Dr. Heimberger's office is 5 minutes from my home. That is the initial reason for my change. I had no complaints about the other choice, except for the distance. (the two surgeons are good friends!) Today I went for my 8 months left knee check up. This is my second visit to his office. I am overwhelmed with gratitude with this new facility I have chosen. I left my home at 10:30 for my 10:45 appointment and was back home at 11 o'clock. The office/nurse staff is absolutely fantastic. They are kind, compassionate and informative. Dr. Heimberger was very attentive to my questions and very reassuring about my progress. I don't have to return for a year, but he said several times, "CALL ME, if you have ANY problems before that time." The physical waiting room and examining rooms are peaceful and pleasant. They are also "handicapped friendly" with automatic doors. I would HIGHLY recommend this facility to anyone needing joint care. Gloria M. Dr Heimberger is an outstanding Surgeon. He has excellent bedside manner and seems to genuinely care. He has replaced both of my knees. The surgeries were a couple of years apart and I'm 100% satisfied. There are Orthopaedic surgeons, well one in particular in the NC SC border area who is notorious for horrible bed side manner. Don't except or tolerate that when there are so many good Surgeons in the area. Thankful experience. Went in with knee pain and after ex rays I was presented with options. I chose for a quick relief to see how long it would last. No pain on the next day. When and if pain returns I will opt for an MRI and orthoscopic surgery. Doctor was very straight forward and through.

I broke my tibia & fibula & shifted the talus bone in ankle & was told I needed to see a trauma surgeon only. Well with there only 1 in my area & he couldn't take me on my daughter who was a PTA heard about dr Heimberger and thank God she did! He got me in right away & was very compassionate & professional in explaining to me & my husband how the surgery was performed & after care. We felt in great hands & with a complicated injury I was back walking in 3 months. Highly recommend Dr Heimberger.

I first met Dr. Heimberger after arriving in the ER after a traumatic fall which broke my hip. The fall was compounded because I laid in the floor 16 hours before I was found. Dr. Heimberger was empathetic both to my mental state and also the injury that had to be addressed. After surgery the next morning he was right there by my side. He is a phenomenal Dr. He was checking on me long after working hours. He is awesome!!

He performed a TKR that had to be redone after 11 months due to it becomeing loose. Level of pain during this time 7 to a 9. Would never go back to him.
