Excellent Pre-op, Operation, and Post op

Dr. McCarty and his team have been extremely effective in resolving problems with both of my shoulders.

Dr. McCarty is professional, pleasant, and patient. He takes the time to explain my situation and injury (ACL torn), and efficiently develops a treatment plan and follow. My experiences with him have always led to successful outcomes. In the past he also did two shoulder repairs (Left/Right) and I"ve needed no follow-up several years later. Recommended!

My visits with Dr. McCarty post surgery have been excellent. He has been very informative regarding my recovery and forthright about where I stand in the process to full healing.

I saw Dr. McCarty after a complete tear of my Achilles tendon. He was able to get me in the same day I called, and he had me in surgery for the repair a week later. He and his team discussed the pros and cons of surgery versus not repairing it, and they helped me make the decision that was best for me. I’m currently recovering from surgery and I feel confident that everything that could be done has been done for me.

great to see the doctor again. He gave me a shot ineach shoulder which has relieved the pain especialy when sleeping on my side

Dr. McCarty was thorough in his exam, and took the time to discuss any concerns that I have regarding my surgery. I'd give him & his staff my highest recommendation.

Dr. McCarty did an ACL repair for me and everything is going great. I'm expecting to make a full recovery to ultrarunning and competitive martial arts. This is a teaching facility so it's not for you if you're looking for a lot of personal time and attention from the surgeon specifically, but personally I feel like I'm in great hands with the rest of his team and he's always available to answer questions at my follow-up appointments.

My son fractured his patella in 3 pieces on a Saturday night playing HS hockey in Fort Collins. CU Sports Med Center got us in Monday morning at 11am to see Dr M. Schedule surgery for Wednesday morning. Dr McCarty and his staff have been so helpful, answered all questions and put my son’s knee back together. What a top notch doc and staff all around!

Dr. McCarty is not only superior in his skills, he is also kind and compassionate and has a great sense of humor. Thankfully, my knee injury did not need surgery. Dr. M. did fix my shoulder years ago, and I have complete confidence in his skill and his medical opinion. I just wish he worked with other parts, too, not just knees and shoulders!

Partial medial meniscectomy surgery was easier then getting a cavity filled. This guy is top notch.

Very nice Surgeon! Listens well and discusses options clearly. Especially like that I was able to decide a course of action that I was most comfortable with. Extremely pleased with his personal attention and with his whole team!

Eric has done work on both of my knees and they they turned out great with no issues or problems.

Dr McCarty Took plenty of time to discuss my issue and put a plan together. He was attentive and made me feel that we were coming up with a solution together.

Dr. McCarty repaired my right rotator cuff. This was a significant repair and the third attempt. My previous surgeon made two valiant attempts. He told me my only option was a shoulder replacement. Dr. McCarty used a mesh implant that has allowed me a near 100% full usage with near 100% strength.

Dr McCarty replaced my ACL last spring. He was extremely professional and knew exactly what I needed to be doing at each stage of the long recovery process. My knee is doing really well and I’m back to skiing and tennis. He’s also as nice as it gets which is a rarity with most high profile surgeons. I have had Dr. McCarty rebuild both of my shoulders. The right one was done nine weeks ago, the left one was done a year ago. I am at full range of motion in left shoulder and almost full range in right shoulder. No pain in left shoulder and very little soreness in right shoulder. In both surgeries I needed almost no pain pills. Dr. McCarty is very attentive, very well practiced, and very reachable. He does excellent work, and I would recommend him and his team to anyone. I am 59 years old. Dr. McCarty did my right shoulder replacement in Dec. 2020. I had a lot of pre-surgery anxiety; I was concerned if it would work and how hard the rehab would be. Everything went extremely well. For the past year I have done so many things that I was not able to do before the surgery: golf, ping pong, fly fishing, pickleball, and reaching things in a high cabinet. Dr. McCarty is a great surgeon and he is a great man!
