This was my first visit ..The Dr was very professional and friendly and thorough and helped me understand my symptoms…she did different tests to pinpoint my situation..staff is very friendly and concern.
Majority of the front office staff are extremely rude. I work in medical and the way they behave is not acceptable anywhere I have worked. I like Dr. Young, but considering switching due to the hour long waits after my appointment time and 30 minutes plus to get someone on the phone. The front desk is rude and it took me months to get an appointment, just to see her for max 10 minutes, completely disregarded of my condition , very arrogant and she made statements on her notes of exams that she did not do, she was making remarks about my condition with out even looking or making any exams, she ordered a very long and expensive test and a month after she received the results she still had no taken the care of following back, i tried to make an appointment and they wanted to schedule me for June and is the beginning of April, in her notes who are written as a format and she just added a few notes she consider me in un-remarcable health not even caring that i suffered 2 strokes in the past 6 month. her comments to the insurance company resulted in my benefits being denied. i am still suffering of effects of the stroke, memory loss, balance problems, vision problems and speach issues. remember is your brain your put in under her care, I changed Dr's and got an appointment in 2 weeks and hope to find a brain doctor who actually cares about my condition and is willing to help me get better with out waiting for months to see her for 10 minutes The front desk is rude and it took me months to get an appointment, just to see her for max 10 minutes, completely disregarded of my condition , very arrogant and she made statements on her notes of exams that she did not do, she was … More

I called to make an appointment with Dr. Young & boy you would of thought I asked for a pint of blood, the girl was so rude & when I went to hang up I said Thank you & she never responded & just hung up !!!!!
Dr Young herself is a wonderful lady. But every time I have an appointment with her, it takes over an hour to get into a room, over 30 minutes on hold with someone, and most of the receptionists are very rude. They talk to me like I’m incapable of understanding simple questions and have an attitude with me. I hear them whisper about “annoying callers” after a call is done. Love Dr. Young, have been seeing her for years. Unfortunately at both of their old & new locations it takes 30+ minutes on hold to speak with someone. I always have to plan my calls to their office during my lunch break or long drives, it's very frustrating. I thought with the new location it would improve but it has not.
Is very professional listens to patients concerns
I have been a migraine patient of Dr. Young's for approximately 10 years. At one point I left her practice to go to a well known head pain clinic. After over a year there with no relief, I returned to Dr. Young. Even though I have never been free of migraines, she keeps trying new meds to reduce them and never makes me feel like I'm a hypochondriac. I have never found her or any of her staff to be anything but friendly and helpful.
Dr. Young is a very caring and thoughful neurologist. She is an attentive listener and explains her prognoses in an articulate manner.
1. The office staff (front desk) are SO terribly rude. They act like everything is an inconvenience, take forever to answer the phones, and are very, very uncoordinated. 2. The wait times are well over an hour. You might as well just show up an hour late to your appointment and you'll still be waiting. 3. Once you --finally-- see Dr. Young, she will be on her computer the ENTIRE time. Although she is nice, she does NOT have good bedside manner. 4. I barely tell her anything anymore because she dismisses all of it. She'll give me a prescription and send me off, instead of trying to find the REASON behind my problems. She doesn't ever prescribe things like therapy or anything holistic (I know, most doctors don't). 5. The appointments are so rushed that, even if I DID TRY to tell her my issues, she would talk so fast and and talk "FOR ME" that it's unbelievable. Overall, I would not recommend her or her office.
After three visits with Dr. Esther Young I have decided not to return and would not recommend her to anyone seeking care. Dr. Young rushes through your appointment and without asking if you have further concerns or questions rudely dumps you off at the check out desk. She has done this to me on all three visits. In addition, she failed to contact me directly with important medication changes, instead had an office clerk try to tell me what to do. Dr. Young gave me the impression she could care less about me as a patient. The office staff are very unprofessional, unhelpful and rude. It is obvious they need further training in customer service as well as the medical field.
I sought help for chronic migraines that I've had since age 11. Dr. Young continued to throw nothing but medication at it, and medication that didn't work at that. Recently she prescribed a new med; I'm so glad I always research meds before I take them, because this medicine was NOT breastfeeding and pregnancy safe (imitrex) after she assured me it was safe to take. Finding a new doctor.
Office staff is incompetent. They have an "I could care less" attitude, and have no compassion or concern over a patient's well being.
This office diagnosed me with nothing! after thousands of dallars in testing and wouldn't give me a clearance to get a tooth pulled because I didnt go to a fallow up visit that would have cost more money. even though they couldn't find anything wrong with me. I went to a second neurologist that found out what was wrong. this is the worst case of scam through there medical practice as a cash paying customer. to go back and be charged to tell me there was nothing wrong. and be totally wrong.... also there office personnel doesn't care at all. pharmaceutical scams.. Couldn’t get into doctor for four months, while in the waiting room there was a horribly long wait time(45 minutes). While in the waiting room, staff put two people on hold just to complain about her job!
The front desk is beyond rude. Medications were left for me at the front and they left a voicemail, I called back and the girl on the phone said “I don’t know what you’re talking about” and did not care to look or check with other co-workers. Dr. Hardy was okay, not as thorough like I like my doctors to be.
Dr. Young is an amazing doctor. She is extremely nice and caring. She took her time talking with me. She really listened to my concerns. Thank you doctor for caring.
THE WORST STAFF! I have only had one visit with Dr. Young and for the most part she was nice, but did not seem like she was interested in what was wrong with me when I was in excruciating pain and could not even walk. She told me that I was on a nerve blocker and couldn't do anything for me. Dr. Young's staff is extremely rude and insensitive. I tried saying that the reason for my call was an emergency because of how much pain I was in and I need to make an appointment and in the middle of me talking they interrupted and said that its not an emergency and they can make a visit for me. I just got the results to my MRI and found out I have degenerative disc disease so I guess that does not fall under the emergency bracket. They refused to give me their name. I myself work in customer service with Beaumont and have never had a worse experience in my entire life making an appointment. THE ENTIRE STAFF SHOULD BE RE TRAINED

My mother waited 2 months for an appointment for her migraines. My father typed into the navigation for 3950 Rochester Rd. He didnt know the city. The office never called to confirm. They went to wrong address. He called and told them what happened & would be 10-15 min late. The office staff had a wrong name down for my Mom. After they got there, "Dr. Young will see you in about 15 min." They were called up bc their insurance card wasn't read correctly the 1st time. They waited 3 hrs and finally went up to desk again (after numerous times) and then were told the Dr. would see them when done with all other patients (another 1.5 hrs). It was like they were punishing them for having the wrong location!! My parents are 84 yo!! The office even had the wrong area code for their home #(386) Who in this area is 386?!? My parents finally left (with Mom getting a migraine) & got their paperwork. They won't be back!! They realized this is their 2nd encounter (different Dr.) with this location. Dr Young is spectacular and her support staff is very good as well. But what good is an appt reminder call 2 weeks in advance?
Dr. Burns is a great Dr who actually listens and really truly seems to care about what I had going on. I’m a new patient and have seen Dr Burns twice now and both times his office staff were very kind as well as Dr Burns. Thanks so much for hearing me out and helping me!

I was original suppose to see Dr. Esther, but due to schedule I was assigned to Dr. Norman Burns, MD instead. Dr. Burns acted not interested in my symptoms at all, I explained my symptoms and he didn't provide any helpful information, he has a very cold attitude and extremely stingy about his words. The appointment only took like 5 minutes or so. There were no help tips what so ever and he recommended me to come back in few weeks. Later, I couldn't find this office on BCBS website and BCBS asked me to call them to clarify if they are in net work. I called the office and asked if they are in net work with BCBS PPO plan, the front desk lady put me on hold for over 20 minutes, then she yelled at me and said nobody ever asked that question before. She said she doesn't know what net work am I talking about. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. This office is not friendly to their patients at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. It's the worst doctor experience I've ever had in my entire life! The way a front desk person yell at a customer like that is not acceptable. Also, it's ridiculous that they don't even know if they are in net work with BCBS. Not helpful at all! She explains things and his caring. She doesn’t just jump to a diagnosis and truly looks into it.
After years of going from one doctor to another, Dr Young was the only doctor to accurately diagnose me with Basilar Type Migraines.
This office has the best and nicest staff. I see Doctor Burns and he is great sits and listens and cares about his patients. Dr. Burns and a lady (Stacy) went beyond to help me out with insurance to get my MS meds approved. I am very grateful for this office. Its worth the distance from where i live.

Dr. Young has a great bedside manner. She is thoughtful and takes her time with you. The staff is also noticeably very pleasant. One of her MS's jumped through hoops for a few weeks prior to my appointment to help obtain necessary forms for treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Young and her office.

I made an appointment for new patient Saturday 8:00 AM 8/13/2016 ,and I was waiting until 9:00 Am and none of the staff show up .I wish I can give 0 stare .
Waited 7 weeks for a follow up appointment with Dr.Young. I drove 25 miles for my visit, and due to construction in front of her practice backed up 2 miles, I was ten minutes late. Dr. Young's strict policy is to mark her patients as no shows after 10 minutes. I was told I could wait 2 hours in the waiting room while she saw other patients. So disappointing that as patients we have no rights when it comes to waiting on the doctors for hours but don't be late -they will shove you out the door
