Dr. Tessema is the best psychiatrist I have ever been affiliated with. He takes time to hear what is going on. He is not focused on a diagnosis but on treating the presenting symptoms. He is caring and knowledgeable and doesn't mind answering all of the questions you have.

Dr Tesema spends time with you and is very caring down to earth. I wish other phyicitrist should be like him. ed updegraff

Staff is horrible. They act as if they could care less. They also need to familiarize themselves with HIPA law. You CAN speak to people on a cell phone. You just can’t leave messages without permission.

Dr. Tessema actually spent time and listened to my problems. He thoroughly reviewed the multitude of medications I was prescribed and we were able to come off a few, or trade at least, for meds that will actually work (along with therapy). I’m happy to have found Dr. Tessema.

Doctor Tessema helped me for the two years I lived in Alabama. During that time I also had a baby. He was easy to talk to, very kind and helpful. He explained why he chose certain meds over others, explained how they worked, how best to take them and always answered my questions. If I ever had a hard time understanding his accent he never got upset about repeating himself or changing how he worded his thoughts for me. He was literate and responsive. I would definitely recommend him to everyone.

I have been with Dr.Tessema since 2011 and have chosen to follow him since he moved to Enterprise from Ozark. I could have continued my care in Ozark which would have been more convenient being the office is only two miles from my residence ... but I value my relationship I've built with Dr.Tessema.... it's been built on honesty and trust... anyone who complains about the wait needs to realize .. you should want "fine dining and not fast food" in your mental health!!! It's worth it!!

Horrible place to go for anyone who proactively cares for their adolescent children. Opposing any of his methods is so offensive you won't be able to continue therapy there at his request for his personal discomfort. I have never been so disappointed with someone I was supposed "trust" to help care for my child's needs.

He takes time to listen and seems to truly care about letting you be a part of the treatment plan. He is more than someone to get med refills from. You will not be in and out in 15 minutes when he calls you back. If you have something you need to talk about and get off your chest, he will not rush you. I can not express the level of gratitude I have for Dr. Tessema.

Doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. Will ask simple questions but you feel comfortable leading conversation if you want. Will point out tools to help you cope. I have never felt over prescribed or under treated. Third shrink I've seen in 4 years and the best thus far. Only negative: staff. While nice, they present as uneducated and rough in a sense. Don't feel comfortable talking to them about my health.
