Dr. Farah Mehdi Khatoon

Great doctor. She listens and seems to really care about our concerns. She is very good and found what the issue was with our child when other docs in Chicago didn’t know.

Dr Khatoon was amazing. Did not feel rushed. Provided loads of info regarding possible issues. Answered all questions.

Is the office closed since Dr Khatoon is leaving? There have been no response to my son’s insulin refill request.

Dr. Khatoon speaks to the parents of her patients in a very condescending manner, is inconsiderate, arrogant, disrespectful, rude, and has little to no compassion. Both the secretary, Carol, and the nurse, Juanita were very nice and professional and took great care in explaining things that we needed to know. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that she just doesn’t care because she’s leaving the practice, or if she just lacks compassion as to why her personality is so cold.

Had a very bad attitude with me and my son as well as misdiagnosed him with a metabolism problem.

Worst doctor and nurse staff ever. Do not value patients or their safety.

Run as fast as you can away from this office. They don’t take time to listen to questions and don’t pay attention to details. The nurse, Juanita, deactivated my daughter’s insulin pump without realizing it because she wasn’t paying attention. My daughter’s numbers sky rocketed as a result. No apology or responsibility taken. I attempted to address my concerns with Dr. Khatoon but was told by two people that she doesn’t communicate with patients outside of their appointments. Not very comforting.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. My son is a Type 1 diabetic (insulin dependent) and this doctor's office has the nerve to refuse to fill his insulin prescription. Insulin is not an option it is what keeps him out of the hospital or worse. This office is playing russian roulette with my son's life. Be warned.

The Dr herself is wonderful, but her main nurse is horrible and I end up leaving every one of my childs appointments angry. She is rude, disrespectful, and a nightmare to deal with. Unfortunately she is the only pediatric endocrinologist in our area. Maybe that is why her nurse thinks its okay to be so nasty.

After taking my daughter in for her appointment and having labs, no follow-up appointment was scheduled. I just received a phone message that my daughter's thyroid was inflamed and I needed to follow up with her primary care physician. I left two messages one week apart trying to get more information about what the cause and effects of an inflamed thyroid meant. I finally received a response today on my voicemail that the results were being sent to the primary physician. I still have no answers.
