Dr Hanley ,did the most complicated heart surgery on our son Banipal back in 1993 Our son was born with a defect on his heart and lungs We traveled to United state for his treatment when he was three years old But we were told Banipal has a one of a kind condition and we’re not able to fix him Until we met dr . Stranger in UCSF and after Bani being checked by dr. Stranger every six month for long ten years , we were introduced to professor Hanley to do the surgery I wish there was a way for us to say our thanks to him Nothing else in our life would have had more value than what you did Doctor We even came back to you to replace our son’s leaky valve in April of 2014 You gave us a new and happy life again I am sure you have done this to hundreds more May God bless you ,you family and your children always You are God’s gift to humanity Thank you Edmond & Therese shahbaz

I was about 4 years old when i finally got the help i needed. I was born with both heart and lung conditions that left me with a very low chance of survival. Almost all heart surgeons in AZ said there was nothing they could do and just misdiagnosed me with bronchitis. No one even wanted to open me up and help, and if they did they gave up so fast. My parents did so much research and found Dr. Hanley and we made the long drive to San Francisco. He was able to not only find the exact problem but he saved my life. I am 20 years old now and living a stress free life with beautiful lungs. I am so thankful for him and what he has done for me and my parents! He is the best out there!

Dr. Hanley is the reason that our daughter is still alive. He is absolutely amazing, and the best in his field.

Dr. Hanley gave my son a chance at a full life when not many options were given. In my mind Dr. Hanley saved my sons life.

Dr.Hanley does what others say is impossible. My son's heart surgery was routine for him. Other surgeons looked at my son and said they never seen anything as complex. Dr Hanley and Lucile Packard hospital said it was routine for them.
