I needed to see a oral professional in a hurry as I was in so much pain I could not eat or drink without being in immense pain. The office my dentist referred to me could not get me in for 3 weeks. I called Dr.Bonine office as a new patient looking to schedule an emergency appointment. They fit me in the next day. The staff, Dr. Bonine, and the care were all amazing. Dr.Bonine was able to diagnosis where the pain was coming from (which had been slowly getting worst over the last two years) and fixed the issue that day. Not only was he extremely professional, but he also took the time to explain to me (and show me on my X-ray) what was wrong, how it happened, and how to avoid it in the future. He and the staff then put together a treatment plan for the future. The plan was printed out and sent home with me in a folder. He also ensured my dentist and orthodontist would all be in the loop, by sending them any treatment I received today and plan to receive in the future according to my plan. My son had his wisdom teeth pulled by Dr. Bonine in the summer and we were very pleased with the out come, he explained everything very well that even my 20 year old understood what was going on and had no further questions even after the procedure, they gave great handouts, the office is stunning and very calming, the before, after and during care was exceptional and I loved knowing that if there was an issue after the procedure that I could call and get Dr. Bonine himself and not just an on call number, Everything went exactly as planned , the office has a seamless very organized system from beginning to end, you know leaving your consult what your expected costs are so that you can prepare, no suprise billing or charges, I would HIGHLY recommend this practice, from the ease of making an appointment, to the welcoming office setting, to the highly organized staff to Dr. Bonine and his amazing reputation as an oral surgeon. After the patient had waited an hour and a half to see the doctor, he proceeded to belittle the patient in front of his staff. This doctor lacks professionalism and has no people skills. If you are not happy with his rhetoric the doctor will use his arm to usher you to the door. Read the negative reviews experienced by other patients. This instance is not isolated. The patient wishes they had read these reviews beforehand and does not want anyone else to be subjected to this same treatment.

They cancel appointments without telling you. They claim they call, but called ID can prove they didn't

My daughter had 4 wisdom teeth removed and had been putting it off for 3 years. Needless to say we couldn't have asked for a better Dentist and staff! Very calming, informative, kind and understanding!! My daughter did amazing because of their process and wasn't nearly as afraid as she had been before. Nothing was rushed, everything was explained and all questions were answered in detail. Will take your money, accuse you of lying, then deny you care. Tends to remove bad reviews as well. Please avoid at all costs to not be scarred for life ????????

We required a medical letter to our health provider company and they didn’t do it. Also the secretary denied it without even try it, I didn’t feel like we were well oriented like clients.

I would give zero stars if I could. Rude and condescending. Yelled at patient about medication prescribed to her by her doctor and told her she was going to “overdose and die”. Insulted her parents. Accused patient of lying. I wish I had read his other bad reviews beforehand. He has a terrible reputation, please do not go to him.

Unfortunately my wife was told one thing when setting her appointment and then found that the plan, cost and timing changed when she arrived. Mind you that was after a 45min wait after her appointment time and then she listened to a story about how a colleague suffered from COVID. Not any way to inspire confidence. Then on follow-up visits we felt harassed with multiple calls to confirm the appointment while she was at work and when she could return the call it was a service that couldn’t take messages...needless to say she was called again before the appointment the next morning ..AND.. still had to wait nearly 30min for her 8:15am appointment even with no one apparently in the office. Insurance coverage was rejected due to missing X-ray information that had to be addressed by us after the office missed when submitting. Very disappointing and given a choice we will work with another office in the future. Communication, cost and timing just simply do not work out here. I must start by saying I would not recommend this business for wisdom teeth removal. Bonine was less than accomodating. Personally, I experienced a dry socket which is not uncommon. I called the receptionists on my break at work and they said Bonine required me to come in immediately. I then had to leave the staff short handed for the remainder of the day as I was worried this was now an emergency. He then applied clove oil bandages and proceeded to use a sharp tool to stick it INTO my gums which made me wince as I was not expecting it. I thought okay maybe this is standard procedure, however the next few times I had to go in for a bandage change was done by a tech or someone other than Bonine and I never had that experience again of something sharp going into my gums. After my first appointment, Bonine told me he was on call on weekends in case my dressing got dislodged and I needed a change. The next morning on Saturday I was at work and I could tell the dressing came out and I was feeling the immense pain again. I did not want to call Bonine because I know how it feels to be on call, no one enjoys it. However, my mom found out I was hurting so she called Bonine asking if I could get a bandage change. Bonine then proceeded to berate my mother as she lay in a hospital bed after a major procedure. How dare she call a doctor who put HIMSELF on call? He had to expect patients during the weekend when he treated this as an emergency the few days before so this reaction was utterly ridiculous. Not only was this my experience with him, but my brother had his wisdom teeth taken out the week before and he proceeded to talk to my mother about politics in the middle of the election. Was very dissappointed with my consult for my wisdom teeth extraction. He was very degrading and accusatory. First off I was there for a consult for my wisdom teeth. The first 20 minutes of my consult he lectured me about taking Xanax 3-4 x a week for anxiety. (I’m sorry but that’s not what I went to him for). I pretty much felt like he was accusing me of either a) being an addict or b) selling it. He told me I had my prescription filled 4x in one day. (Not true) When I denied it he did not believe me. When his assistant looked at the paper she realized he was looking at 4 refills for the med. Not the med being filled 4 x in 1 day. All he had to say was oh, I was looking in the wrong column. Never even apologized. I went home that day and was so upset that I cried. I would never allow somebody that makes me feel this way do surgery on my teeth. It’s really too bad because his office staff and the assistants were exceptional. I would not recommend anyone I know to go to him. I will follow up with someone who is more caring and compassionate and has a good chair side manner. I tried to make an appointment to have teeth pulled so that I can have implants. I was in a head on collision forty-one years ago, and the bridge that was put in decades ago finally failed. All expenses related to the injuries from that car accident are covered by the auto insurance for the rest of my life; no co-pays, nothing. The person that I spoke with on the phone wouldn’t even let me schedule an appointment without $100.00 cash upfront. The person that I spoke with also said they will not bill that to insurance. I’m trying to think about this logically. If this is a standard fee, then send it to my insurance, no problem. I have never experienced, or even heard of this, with any medical provider, in any field. My insurance is paying for this. If they’re concerned about payment, they can contact my insurance and get prior approval, reassuring them that this will be covered. I’m trying to understand why they have no problem billing insurance for everything else, but this $100.00 must be paid in cash, before I can even schedule an appointment. I have never been there before, so it is impossible for me to have an outstanding balance. They did not ask for any insurance information, so this isn't a surprise copay from my insurance. This isn't part of the appointment fee that can be paid at the time of the visit, because I wasn't allowed to even schedule anything until it was paid, and that would also be covered by my insurance. I have gone to Dr Bonine a few times. Had my wisdom teeth pulled and then years later an implant and now another one. I have had very bad experiences with dentist’s before strapping down my head because of the pain and Bonine and his staff were very understanding and supportive. He did tell me to get a 2nd opinion on a sinus issue. When I didn’t, he called me out on it, which I am glad he did. I don’t think he is a bully, he knows what he is doing and honestly cares about people. He knows my history and didn’t pass judgement on me. Yes, the office overcharges sometimes, but they do give you your money back if this happens. I will always go to Bonine for as long as he is in practice and refer him to everyone. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Bonine and his staff. For “years” I neglected my teeth because I was scared & petrified about going to the dentist. Well the time came when they had to come out so I could get dentures. I was recommended by my dentist to go see Dr. Bonine to have them removed and from the minute I walked in the door I was made to feel very comfortable by his staff and once I saw & spoke to Dr. Bonine my fears quickly evaporated. I had my surgery and was shocked there was very very little to no pain afterwards. I only wish I had found Dr. Bonine sooner. Dr. Bonine’s has been one of the greatest healthcare experiences I have ever had. I was in need of having my wisdom teeth removed and contemplated multiple oral surgeons until I was recommended to see Dr. Bonine. The process was seamless. Very easily understandable pre-op instructions, a painless procedure, and a very comfortable recovery. He made an effort to include and educate me throughout the whole process, which I really appreciate. He offered great post-op care and was always a phone call away. I don't care what any other review says....Dr.Bonine and his staff are the best!! I went in to have all my upper teeth and 3 bottom teeth pulled. I put this off for a long time, fearing that it would be super painful. He told me I would never be worse then sore (after the surgery)and he did not lie. I was amazed at how well he did. I visited Dr. Bonine for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction. Couldn’t have gone better! First of all, his office is very nice and you can look out into nature as you sit in the dental chair. He calmed my nerves before the procedure and told me exactly what to expect before and after the extraction. The procedure was extremely quick and no pain was felt during the process. I felt like I was out of the office in 10 minutes. The first day, I was only a little bit swollen. The next few days my swelling had gone down so much no one even noticed I had gotten my wisdom teeth extracted. I went to my mother’s birthday dinner the day after!! I have never heard of a dentist being such a bully as I have this one! If he doesn’t get what he wants he turns on his bullish ways, not a people person with that personality and lack of people skills! Time to retire! Do not recommend this place much better places to go to.

The fact that you upset her to the point of hyperventilating tears in front of her children and also that your assistant felt the need to keep repeating that the implant would cost 1000$ as if we didnt have it, is enough reason alone for my one start rating. I've been here multiple times over the years and have always been pleased with Dr Bonine's work. His staff is also nice and friendly.

Our experience with this office has been top notch. The process was explained fully and in great detail and the staff was professional every step of the way. Dr. Forgach is an outstanding doctor and treats patients with the courtesy and respect deserved to obtain needed results.

This was the best experience I have had at a dental office by far, they were all very friendly and made you feel right at home. I had 4 teeth extracted yesterday and I’m only a little sore. Amazing dentist I recommend coming here if you need any work done!

Dr. Forgach is an intelligent and caring oral surgeon. I was referred to Dr. Forgach by my dentist for a failing tooth that needed to be extracted. I ended getting an implant on the extracted tooth by Dr. Forgach. He is passionate and brings a fresh prospective to oral surgery in the Livingston County area. Had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Bonine and overall, I'm not sure why everyone freaks out about this procedure because I was back to my old self within one day. Dr. Bonine's office is absolutely beautiful and calming, especially when you're getting work done and can look over the wooded area right from your seat. Office is very clean and staff are competent. My only complaint was Dr. Bonine's bedside manner - he can be kind of standoff-ish and unintentionally rude. I came in for my procedure after work wearing my scrubs because why not, and he made a remark to me that my scrubs shouldn't be worn outside of the hospital. I don't know where that came from, but it made me feel awkward during the procedure. I go out of my way to travel from Ann Arbor to Brighton to see Dr. Bonine due to his excellent reputation for patient care. Over the past 5 years he’s performed several procedures and I’ve always found him to be professional, courteous and thorough. He has state-of-the-art equipment and seems up to date with modern processes. My brief interaction with his staff has always been pleasant and efficient and I get the impression many have been with him for years, which speaks volumes on how he treats people. His office is in a very relaxing setting and his patient rooms have great views of the forest and wildlife which is intentional to relax you. Dr. Bonnie has very poor customer service skills. He does not know how to talk to patients. He is rude and acts like his patients are low class citizens. Be prepared to be insulted. Incredibly knowledgeable, patientcentric care, and an amazing setting.

Excellent doctor and excellent staff. My 5 year old daughter suffered a serious injury which included knocking one of her lower teeth out. My daughter's primary dentist was unable to fit her into their schedule. Dr Bonine made a special trip into his office so that he could take care of her. His professionalism and skills are top notch. He was kind and patient and was extra diligent to address all of her fears. He carefully explained the treatment plan and not only talked to us (the parents), but also took EXTRA time to explain the treatment plan to my daughter in a way she could understand. As a result, a lot of her fears were set aside, and she felt as comfortable as possible with what needed to be done. I feel we were extremely fortunate to find Dr Bonine AND his staff. This was the worst experience I have had within the medical field. The professionalism and patient curtesy was more than lacking. There were many points at which this doctor ignored certain procedures and followed up with even worse reactions. Generally when your uncomfortable or in pain it is a standard procedure to raise an arm, this is common practice for hundreds of dental institutions, however what followed was being verbal accosted for making my dentist aware of the enormous amount of pain he was putting me in, which was never warned. The following proceedings stacked up higher with a higher bill, a price gouging tactic used to deal with apprehensive customers that you don't want to serve. Overall I'm still in pain, upset for how I was treated and I hope that I can save someone else the discomfort, emotional distress and an overwhelming feeling of being worthless. I was recommended to Dr Donine, by Dr Petersburg. I had a very severe case of TMJ. I found the entire staff to be very kind friendly and helpful. Dr Bonine has shown a real passion and expertise in his field. This office made a bad experience pleasant. I would highly recommend this office.

I had some work done by Dr. Bonine and I cannot say enough about the professionalism of Dr. Bonine and his staff. The staff must be in double digits and they are excellent. Dr. Bonine is well connected with other dentists in the area and he was like the quarterback and he had a total plan and had me going from one dentist to the next. I highly recommend this office. Most of my family has gone there for wisdom teeth. So I went and I was very happy with the work they did. Very nice, helpful, friendly. Most importantly they know what they doing. They go over everything and then some. I recommend Dr. Bonine and the staff.

The staff was amazing and informative. Dr. Bonine has a good sense of humor. Most importantly with the local anesthetic the surgery was quick and painless. This may not be the cheapest place around but they have the experience and expertise. I would gladly be willing to return to get the rest of the work I need done.

Today I completed an extraordinary experience, having had the final examination after undergoing extractions and having 3 implants placed by Dr. Bonine. From beginning to today, I was impressed by the professionalism and friendly manner in which I was treated by both Dr. Bonine and his very competent staff. I elected to have the state-of-the-art trabecular metal implants which did cost more; however, in terms of comfort and expediting the process, it was well-worth the extra expense. I am a veteran implant patient, having taking advantage of the option for more than 20 years. By far, this was the most efficient in terms of total length of treatment (2 months, compared to 5-6 months from start to finish). I do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Bonine and the trabecular implants. From the first consultation to the last check-up, every visit and procedure (two implants) were very professional (Both Dr. Bonine and staff). You knew upfront timing and costs and options. All questions were answered, even when asked multiple times. Communications between Dentist and Dr. Bonine - excellent (both directions). Very pleasing and soothing environment. Implants would be the only way to go if I ever need to replace a tooth again. I had two wisdom teeth pulled on the left side, an upper and lower. The upper exaction presented as a very simple processure, but low tooth was impacted and had to be surgerically removed. I was referred to Dr. Bonine by my General Dentist and after having the processure, I can see why my doctor has so much faith in Dr. Bonine and his staff.The office is beautiful and relaxing, the staff is professional, understanding and fun and Dr. Bonine is extremely knowledgable with great chair side manners. Once I met Dr. Bonine, I had complete confidence in his and his staff's capabilities. My operation went well and I would go back to Dr. Bonine in the future for any work that I may need in the future. I would also recommend Dr. Bonine to my family and friends. When I went to Dr. Bonine for the first time, I was horrified by his assessment and treatment plan. I would need 9 implants, physical therapy before the surgery, and crowns for the implants. The cost seemed outrageous. Yes, he did seem arrogant and all business. However, I decided I could afford the cost, that my health was worth the investment, and that I did not need to concern myself with his personality. He was going to fix my teeth, and his reputation as a surgeon was all that was important. He was exactly right about the therapy. After a few sessions the migraine headaches and back pain that had impacted me since I was a child disappeared. Without the pain, my quality of life improved 100%. He finished his part of the implant process today, and while my jaw aches a little, it was not nearly the production I had worried it would be. After only a few visits I very much liked him as a person, and I know that there is no better oral surgeon anywhere nearby. He did an excellent job, and his staff is wonderful. They are highly qualified, efficient, and most importantly they are compassionate. He has invested in educating and training an exceptional group of people to support his work. The bottom line is that he is a top notch surgeon, his staff is wonderful, and the location is perfect. Thanks to all of you for fixing my teeth! I had an amazing experience at Dr. Bonine's office. I had my wisdom teeth extracted and I have never had such a relaxing visit while getting my mouth worked on. Everyone in the office was extremely helpful and friendly, just a joy to be around. Everyone made me feel so comfortable, it was a great experience.
