Dr. Freeland Gerard Oliverio

Dr Oliverio is very knowledgeable and professional in his dealing with both staff and patients. I had a very negative experience with his secretary today, however. She was very upset that I had an appointment but wasn’t “financially approved” to pay the $100 visit fee with my credit card. Apparently this takes “4-5 days” and I should never have been given an appointment without this approval…. Even though I was just at the office in January, and have been a patient of Dr Oliverio since I was a child. She called the Cleveland Clinic and I paid over the phone, and in spite of this she proceeded to tell all of the office staff and other professionals in the office that I wasn’t approved to be in the office and have my appointment. I find her behavior very unacceptable as it was very embarrassing to hear her falsely accusing me (to anyone and everyone who would listen) of not paying and/or being honest when I know I didn’t make that appointment by myself, and I also paid the charges for it! Did she think I got in and hacked the system and just, really knew- I just really knew what I would do- I would make an appointment! Yeah, that’s right- I’d make a drs appointment!! Muuuuu wha ha ha ha- what a wicked thing, to call the offices to make an appointment to see my doctor in regards to my health! (Lol) Truly, I think Dr Oliverio can do better in regards to his secretarial staff… (He, however, is a really great doctor ) ???? When I first became a patient of this doctor I was very pleased. Not any more. Now this doctor is a part of Cleveland Clinic and has adapted its office procedures. As a result there is no more direct communication with the office. ALL communication goes through a "clearing house". Even requests for medication refills. If you need a refill of a maintenance medication there is no way to speed up that request. Even the pharmacy has no way to personally contact the doctor. Horrible!!! I found that the hospital and it's staff were great. I felt comfortable the moment I walked in. Dr. Oliverio, this guy, well he's just great too! Funny serious caring and did I mention he had a funny bone? I'll be back. I would recommend this establishment and it's staff.

This place will never call you back no matter how many times you call or message them! I left messages with the front desk, voicemails with the nurses line and even written messages through Mychart and weeks later haven't heard anything back from them. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! You will never be able to get ahold of anyone if you have problems. I asked for an annual review so I could get my medications renewed and they set me up for an office visit just to charge me money. They run around in circles and it is always your fault.

I love Dr Oliverio but I think my hometown Dr may not realize how a few of his staff treat people. It's sad that an office I could count on years ago seems to have lost it's connection to it's patients as well as actually caring about it's patients.

He is the best

Dr. Oliverio is a warm and professional person. He is very personable and knowledgeable. His staff are very friendly and accommodating. You will leave feeling like family.

Best doctor around caring friendly loves and cares about his patients staff is so friendly you couldn’t ask for a better doctor ?? hands down
