Dr Boettner and the entire staff at HSS were and continue to be outstanding. My total knee replacement as well as my follow up care were smooth. I felt that the dr and his staff actually care about my well being. So I highly recommend checking out the Dr and see for yourself!!!

Two hour wait to see him for first two appointments, and then spending less than 15 minutes with me. Refused to have any discussion of physical therapy as post operative option, and told me to get another surgeon if I wanted to have PT - WHILE I was on the table prepped in gown for surgery. No plan for post surgical visit in recovery until I pushed for an update to find out how it went in the operating room. Now having post operative complications with no improvement to mobility. Now looking for another Dr to pursue followup -

My third visit to Dr. Boettner. His credentials are outstanding and you believe it when you meet him. He talks to you like a person and explains everything that he’s doing or that will have to be done. He especially takes your lifestyle into account when determining the best surgery outcome. April 7, 2022. My husband and I saw Dr.Boettner this week. I for my yearly checkup after a total Knee replacement and my husband for the same procedure checkup 4 week after surgery. Getting to the building was somewhat confusing (due to renovations), however once at site, clean, organized and appeared to be spacious. And, personnel very professional and pleasant.

Dr Boettner is an excellent surgeon with great compassion for those in pain. The surgery went well and having me use cbm machine to bend my leg after knee replacement made a huge difference in healing. I am so grateful to him and know he will be the dr to replace my left knee when I am ready.

Dr Boettner was wonderful throughout the entire Total Knee Replacement surgery. If you want to go to the best don’t hesitate and book a consultation with HSS. The pre-op was very extensive and they have a convenient satellite in Westchester NY & Stamford CT. The recovery which is really painful and took a lot of patience was successful due to Dr Boettner and his staff. I would highly recommend him for his capabilities plus a great bedside manner. Dr. Boettner performed a total knee replacement in mid-January 2022. I cannot be more pleased with Dr. Boettner, his team and the staff at HSS. It was an incredible experience. Communication and scheduling from diagnosis thru surgery and follow-up was flawless. The doctor and his staff made themselves available for questions and concerns and showed caring and empathy. My recovery and rehabilitation has progressed much faster than expected aided along the way by timely videos featuring Dr. Boettner himself. The pain experienced during my recovery was not as bad as I thought it would be. Dr. Boettner is an exceptional surgeon and I would highly recommend him to anyone contemplating knee replacement. This is the second hip resurfacing surgery performed by Dr. Boettner for hip osteoarthritis - this time on my right hip on December 8, 2021; previous surgery on left hip in June 2020. Dr. Boettner is an excellent surgeon, and fully explains and follows-up in all phases of treatment. I am on track to have the same excellent result with my right hip as is the case with my left one. I’m 30 days today from a bilateral knee replacement. Today I am lightly walking comfortably and with no pain and without any assistance, I’m doing my chair slides, leg flex with 5lb rice bag, moderate wall slides and riding a stationary bike. Dr. Boettner is excellent! He replaced my hip and the whole experience has been outstanding. From my very first consult to my 1-month follow-up visit, he and the team at HSS have been available, attentive, caring, and competent. They work together flawlessly, and that includes both the team in NYC and the team in Uniondale (so thankful for the Uniondale location!)

Great doctor and amazing results.

Two years ago, DR. Boettner totally replaced my left hip joint, vanquishing forever the terrible knee pain I had been suffering. But, as he predicted, my right leg would eventually need such surgery. However, because of COVID, I postponed and procrastinated—until a very bad fall 3 months ago, when I realized my hip was responsible, painful, weak, stiff, limited in mobility and flexibility, causing a limp. Now, just 30 days later, after the anterior approach to total hip joint replacement, I am able to walk more than one mile (20 city blocks), totally free of pain, and only occasionally using my cane. For more than a decade I was reluctant to have surgery and lived with the pain. I am happy to report that my surgery was a pain free experience from the first day and continues to be so one month latter. Honestly I don't know how I could have asked for a better outcome. Outstanding surgeon and doctor Had knees replaced 7 years ago And a hip done 2 months ago and I am very pleased with the results

No question I made the right choice. After much procrastination and apprehension about my hip, I feel like new again less than a week after the surgery. In fact, the procedure, staff and facility was so top notch, I am actually looking forward to getting the other hip done.

I am compelled to write a review for my experience with Dr Boettner and his team because it was something I have not experienced before. Prior to finding Dr Boettner I had a total hip replacement at Rothman Institute in Philadelphia. It was a complete disaster from start to finish leaving me with a ridiculous limp and compromised left leg that barely works. i was completely terrified when i was told my right hip was now gone. Dr Boettner and his team listened to my fears and helped me make my way to having a total hip replacement on my right side. To say this was an amazing experience is an understatement. Dr Boettner is unmatched in his skill and patient care. His ENTIRE team -especially Brittany - took such care of me-answered every question-always checked on my healing - saw to my every need-i have never seen such a well oiled medical care team on every level. great communication - amazing patient access to doctors and nurses - great technology -the confidence -not arrogance- to heal me-. I had done my hip replacement on November 2014 and Doctor Boettner is the best . I sometimes even do not remember which hip was bed one, after 7 yers the surgery was done I can run jump and also I've lose 72 pound since . I have scheduled an appointment tomorrow to the Dr Boettner, six years after lust seen him, just for check up and very exiting for it , I am pretty sure he will not recognize me . Glad to have my knee repaired with a partial replacement. It took several months to heal properly with the twice a week help of a physical therapist and the special exercises she gave me to do at home. Dr. Boettner & his staff did great work as always.

Dr. Boettner did bilateral knee replacements on 7/30/21. The surgery and recuperation went very well. At 2 weeks post-op I was walking without assistance and had surpassed all the degrees of flexion measurements. Doctor Boettner also replaced one hip about 7 yrs ago. My hip was so bad that it had started to collapse into my pelvis requiring bone grafting to build out my pelvis. That surgery and recuperation went very well. I was walking in the recovery room! Doctor Boettner has a gifted mind and hands Do not hesitate to have him do your surgery.

I was seen by Dr. Boettner to discuss knee surgery. After many X-rays and a exam he told me that the best option was total knee replacement. We decided to do the right knee first since that was the one currently giving me the most discomfort. He made me feel comfortable with the decision and spoke with words that were easy to understand. He answered any questions I had clearly. I found him to be thorough, yet to the point. Both Dr. Boettner and his staff are excellent. I would gladly recommend him to anyone with a knee problem!

Efficient, skilled, attentive, listens to your concerns, answers questions and I’m so thankful that he was my surgeon for left TKR. I followed all his advice and a month later, doing really well. Definitely returning to him for future right TKR. Highly recommend!

After having 2 meniscus repair surgeries with two different orthopedic surgeons that I wasn’t pleased with, I knew I would ultimately need 2 total knee replacement surgeries so I started researching a surgeon that I would trust. When I saw Dr. Boettner’s credentials, experience and reviews from patients I decided to go see him for a consultation. I was very impressed with his approach in explaining everything to me, his professionalism and his bedside manners. I had my first TKR two years ago with Dr. Boettner, I was extremely happy with the outcome on all fronts, the smoothness of every step in the process and the quick recovery made me decide to do my 2nd TKR soon after. However, COVID forced me to wait 18 months before I had my 2nd TKR and I’m so thrilled to say that I am 4 weeks post my surgery and I’m doing extremely well. Dr. Boettner replaced my right knee six months ago. He is a highly skilled surgeon and is very personable. He always has taken the time to listen to any concerns that I had. I am extremely happy with the outcome. No more chronic pain in that knee! Dr. Boettner's staff is top notch. Everyone that I dealt with was attentive, thorough, and very helpful. My hospital stay was short (1 night). HSS Manhattan is a well oiled machine. From the time I walked in the front door until I left, the care was superb. I have had two successful hip replacements done two years apart with a 100% recovery on both occasions.I am now dealing with deteriorating bad knees .I have complete trust in his judgement .Dr Boettner has been treating me with anti inflammatory injections for my Knees and so far its been working.

Best decision I’ve made, going to Dr. Boettner @ HSS for a left TKR. My entire experience from the initial appointment to the four week post op checkup has been phenomenal. Post op pain was negligible, much to my surprise. I will definitely be back for a right TKR in the not so distant future.
