Really disappointed. Went with my daughter after he diagnosed me with MS. My daughter asked him what MS was a couple of times and he just ignored her. No explanation of why he diagnosed me with MS. He wanted to give me a prescription right away, i have no symptoms, so i refused medication. He just wish me luck and told me to eat healthy and thats it. Really horrible experience. Also invalidated my diagnosis I have had since I was 15 years old by saying I just needed to relax and not stress. If that was a remedy to my chronic migraines I would have fixed the problem by now. I was originally referred to him by my primary physician who suggested botox injections for my migraines when all medications were failing. Again this is a 21 year old diagnosis I have been dealing with. I got literally nothing resolved and it took 3 appointments of him making me retry meds my primary and I already established did not work. He pretty much refused to administer Botox so I agreed to try another injectable medication in its place. Guess what my insurance would not cover this medication but would cover Botox instead. I spent a lot of wasted time. Missed work multiple times for him to bill my insurance and I am back to square 1. My primary physician is now having to refer to me another neurologist. Yay more wasted time while suffering migraines and lost money from now having to make more multiple appointments to re establish with a new neurologist. If I wanted someone to tell me to de stress I would go to a therapist. I was seeking real medical attention and help and got less than nothing. He had the audacity to have the office try to reschedule me for an appointment after it came to a head where nothing was going to get prescribed my insurance covered and I literally was receiving no treatment. Worst medical experience I have experienced. I dont mean to seem bitter but it feels like they just want to bill yet provide no real treatment. Really horrible experience. invalidated a 21 year old diagnosis. Refused treatment recommended by my insurance company and primary physician. Lots of wasted visits and lip service with no real treatment.

Didn’t believe me that I had temporal lobe epilspesy. Told me I was making it up, that I was “doing it to myself” from stress. Guess what ? I had a tonic clonic seizure about 1 month after realizing he was wasting my time. My boyfriend caught it all on camera and we confirmed my diagnosis with a capable neurologist. 3+ minutes long, didn’t catch the part with me falling and cracking my eye socket in the closet on video though. I wonder what would have happened had I been diagnosed and my medications taken seriously. Oh well. don’t take your kid here, request another neurologist from providence. Very patient and empathetic. Dr. Nilaver really takes the time to listen to you and he is careful to make certain you understand and have no further questions.

Didn't feel that he listened to me or cared about any other factors beyond one inconclusive MRI.

I am blessed to have Dr Nilaver he has lots of experience and always goes above and beyond :)

First neurologist to actually listen to my concerns and find what was wrong and then treat my seizures! 5/5 would highly recommend Dr. Nilaver :)

Today was my first appointment with Dr Nilaver and I was very impressed. He was kind, gentle, good listener, thorough and went over multiple neurological issues I am having. He went over my bi-lateral numbness issues in my hands, migraines and sciatica. He has scheduled more testing for me and after being in PT and OT for months with no major breakthroughs concerning my hands I finally have hope that the issues can and will be resolved. Feeling blessed to have been sent to him.

Dr. Nilaver was able to resolve migraine issues I have been suffering from for over 30 years. Explained in detail that I could understand what was going on and what was needed. Resolved an issue that I had previously only been given treatment for the after effects for.

I have seen many neurologist!Dr.Nilaver has went ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR ME! He has persoaly called me on several occasions and he has even called the ER so I could get my steroid treatments even though HE WAS NOT GETTING PAID! He is kind understanding and very helpful! I have had multiple sclerosis for 4 years now and after going to several doctors who "tell you what they want you to do" he is the FIRST to listen to what i want to do! i also for the first time in had an MRI with no progression :)
