Garry Peers

Last August, 2021 Dr. Peers performed a robotic assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy to remove my cancerous prostate. My recovery has been excellent and I have progressed faster than anticipated! Post surgical margins were clear and ongoing PSA checks show <0.1! Dr. Peers is an excellent surgeon and delivered outstanding medical care for my condition. He has my full recommendation if you are looking for a surgeon to perform this critically important and difficult surgery.

My surgery was cancelled at the last minute because Peers was unprofessional and disorganized. He scheduled my surgery for today, knowing I had heart surgery 3 months ago. He told me to get clearance from my cardiologist, and I did. But he did not communicate with the anesthesiologist, who has a policy of not putting patients under within 6 months of heart surgery. Peers’s nurse knew of this policy, and when I showed up today, told me the anesthesiologist would refuse. Peers said he “hoped” the cardiac clearance would be enough to override the anesthesiologist’s policy. So I fasted and rearranged my life to have a surgery today that couldn’t happen.

Dr. Peers without a doubt is the best urologist. Not only have I experienced his skill over the years for kidney stones removal, BPH, and very shortly the Eurolift procedure for it, he has been referred by several physicians as the urologist to see. I trust his judgement and hand skills on the surgical tasks needed to be performed. Several years ago, I had the kidney stone surgical procedure botched by a Singaporean urologist that caused me excruciating pain for 10 days. Dr. Peers assured me that he would remove every stone lazer blasted. True to his word, he removed every stone, and I did not suffer but minor discomfort for 1-2 days. He is thorough in his explanations to you as well as his follow through on all matters including appointments for CT scans. I highly recommend Dr. Peers to any of you in need of a urologist. Without a doubt he is among the best!

Had some blood in my urine. Dr. Peers was extremely friendly and explained my situation and options extensively; and then immediately diagnosed my condition with a cystoscopy. Everyone at the office, including Dr. Peers, demonstrated a very high level of both professionalism and friendliness. I have had a lot of medical issues and it is unusual to have a significant medical issue resolved so quickly and effectively.
