Had surgery for a cyst because I was told that if you removed it from the root that it wouldn’t grow back. I ended up getting an allergic reaction to the stitches he put in my foot and after calling the office multiple times and going in for two follow ups (that I had to request) I finally told him I wanted the stitches out because he kept telling me to leave them in and they would fall out. Now just two months later my foot is in worse condition than it was before, the cyst is somehow still in my foot and protruding so far out of my foot that I can’t wear anything but sandals. I am still paying off the $4,500 surgery that didn’t even work and now need to go to a different podiatrist and have another surgery. Do not get a surgery by this doctor! I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Bartholomew and his staff. Both my husband and I needed surgery and he did a fabulous job. From the scheduling to the surgery to the post op visit it was smooth sailing! He explained what needed to be done and why, and did it perfectly. Both my husband and I are back at the gym with no foot pain. I recommend him without reservation.

Our family really like Dr. Bartholomew . Unfortunately he has hired a new receptionist who has been repeatedly rude, short and awful to my elderly parents, caregivers and me. The first impression of a Dr. is their receptionist either by phone or in person and this guy is awful.

I was a little apprehensive as this was my first visit to a podiatrist. Dr. Bartholomew was very patient and thoroughly explained the procedure for my ingrown toenail. I thought he would probably just look at it and I would have to make another appointment. He took care of it and I was in and out of there in 45 minutes! Highly recommend him. No problems with recovery.

I visited Dr. Bartholomew for an ingrown toenail. Both he and his staff were very kind, professional and considerate. They explained every step of the procedure and what I could expect. Also the office is taking steps to protect patients during this time of Covid. I highly recommend him.

I was really pleased with Dr. Bartholomew. I saw him for a second opinion, following surgery with a Dr. that did not listen to me, my concerns! Dr. Bartholomew listened examined my foot gently and far more thoroughly the the other Dr. He listened and thru that, did stress Xrays and discovered a fracture that was missed by the Dr. that did surgery on my foot! I needed a second opinion I had foot surgery in 2010 in Abilene TX and it didn't go well. I was looking for another Dr and after reading all Dr Bartholomew review from other patients I just felt he was the one. I made an appointment he explained what I had and knew exactly what to do. He was kind, gentle he was very experienced to know what was wrong and understood my pain and a week later I had surgery and the staff was amazing the Dr was fonominal and he fixed my foot I can walk again with no pain and it feels wonderful. He is such an amazing person and Dr he checked up on me and walked me through everything and he's very caring. I would recommend this Dr to anyone. The doctor performed surgery to correct an ingrown toenail 3 weeks before a trip that required climbing and assured me that I would be recovered. It's now after v6 weeks and I'm still in pain. When I called before my trip to say that I had an infection and asked to see the doctor, I was told to go to urgent care. I called twice during regular hours-no one answered and no one called me back. Although I have a record of my calls, the receptionist lied that she never received my calls.Dr. Bartholomew gave me 13 days of antibiotics without seeing me which did nothing to help my pain. I now need to find a new, reputable podiatrist.

Dr. Bartholomew is simply the BEST! He took the time to explain every detail of my daughters surgery and the outcome expectation he had for her. He is kind and patient. A breath of fresh air!

Wish I could review this Doctor as he was recommended to me, but when I called ( late morning on a wednesday- not the start of the day or week) to try to make an appointment, after I said I would be a new patient, I was put on hold multiple times for long periods, when I finally was given some time to schedule, the woman repeatedly ignored me and spoke to others while I was talking. When I asked her to repeat herself as I didn't realize she was talking to others, she told me she wasn't talking to me. I tried giving her my information she would not listen to the answers I gave, including asking me about different addresses despite my repeatedly saying I have only lived at one address in the entire state of Texas and then she got an attitude becasue I pointed out I had answered already and she was upset I did not know if I was in her system. When I informed her that I thought maybe I changed my mind about the appointment in the first place, she basically hung up on me. I am sure the doctor is wonderful but if his scheduling and front end staff treat polite new patients with such dismissive and contempt it gives me pause as to the ability to get to the doctor if he was needed. I guess I'll try somewhere else. Though I had seen Dr. B for a few years who was friendly & somewhat quiet with an excellent support staff, he "missed" a black dot on my right great toe. It became infected. He tried to "arrest" the issue after sending a culture & writing a script for it. It grew, got worse to the point I went to an emergency room after consulting with my PCP. It became so badly infected (I'm Type 1 diabetic), it ended up with me receiving 2 amputations (partial then whole toe) & vascular surgery to get proper blood circulation for healing in my right leg. Over 100k in billing (thank God for insurance) & then the office charge me about $200 for the "visit". I like Dr. B, but he can no longer cut my toe nails every 3 months. wish I could review more but I tried to schedule an appointment, I managed to get a date but upon trying to tell her basic information was treated quite poorly in attention, tone and clarity. I finally decided that if this was the impression, as a new patient, they were comfortable with, it did not bode well for the future relationship...When I told her I thought perhaps I changed my mind in coming to see the doctor, she hung up on me. This was a Wednesday, late morning not early or a monday.

I had need for a podiatrist. One was referred to me by a friend of mine who is a urology surgeon. The doctor he personally recommended was podiatrist Gary Bartholomew. Since I was very familiar with the area where Dr. Bartholomew's office was located, I elected to drop by in person and make an appointment to see him in one week's time. And I was glad that I did. Both Dr. Bartholomew and Christina, his podiatry assistant were awesome! I enjoyed my interaction with the two of them, both on the professional level and on the personal, down-to-earth level. I particularly felt at ease with Dr. Bartholomew. He's a very affable guy who truly knows his craft of podiatry. And Christina is definitely no slouch either in doing her job. Her professionalism attested to that. Hopefully, I won't have need for a podiatrist again in the future. But if the fates will it, then without any doubt, I will call Dr. Gary V. Bartholomew. And if somebody I know have need for a foot specialist, then I will give that person Dr. Bartholomew's office phone number. I had need for a podiatrist. Dr Bartholomew was very kind, patient, and took time to answer questions. His staff was friendly as well.

Could not get response from his office to make an appointment after 4 attempts. I have never been treated to rudely by staff. With a serious issue, could not manage to see me for 11/2 months, even after a doctor referral. Would not trust my health to someone who runs his office so poorly.

I was extremely dissatisfied with Dr. Bartholomew's work. I ended up with more issues after surgery than I started with. I would not recommend him
