My visit with Dr. Gettenberg left me utterly speechless. He allows his arrogance to stand in the way of treating his patients. He REFUSED to treat me based solely on the fact that I had my endoscopy done by another doctor. I provided him with an electronic copy of the results and offered a paper copy as well (he refused). I explained the diagnosis as well. All "Dr." Gettenberg did was laugh and say he cannot treat me and I should go back to whoever did my endoscopy. No medical opinion, did not offer to do another endoscopy, no questions. It was evident from the moment he was told I had gone to someone else (due to his lack of availability!) that he had no interest in helping me. Second opinions are advised and encouraged for a reason! But according to Dr. Gettenberg, he is too high and mighty for those. He refused to answer any of my questions and left me feeling completely defeated. I have never been disappointed by a medical professional to this extent and I truly hope NYU takes proper action. I find Dr. Gettenberg to be thorough and pleasant he is professional an I trust him. All the receptionist are pleasant and friendly.

Doctor was rude and arrogant. I waited more then 1hr. It was completely waste of time.

I came on time and just sitting here 90 minutes already. Time is money in New York and I was just robbed by this doctor Gutenberg Seth ????

The staff could not answer my questions and kept transferring me to different people who still couldn’t answer my questions. The only thing they could tell me was that in the two weeks we’ve been going back and forth they didn’t realize I’m unable to have to procedure done. It takes you two weeks, a million phone calls with me and two calls from my insurance to realize that? Worst part is nobody even told me that until I started asking questions they couldn’t answer. My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Gettenberg for many years. He provides us high quality care from office visits to his onsite ambulatory services including endoscopies and colonoscopies. We highly recommend Dr. Gettenberg.

Knowledgeable competent Doctor.Very caring and professional

Dr Gettenberg has the ability to treat his patients like their his friends and has extensive knowlage of his field I personally like his absoluteness about his aftercare he is genuine.

Very good doctor, he puts you at ease even if there's a serious problem. Makes you feel very comfortable.

Dr Gettenberg is an excellent doctor. I’ve been going to him for over 15 years. He’s very thorough and takes his time to explain the issues and treatments. Performed endoscopy and several colonoscopies over the years. His office runs smoothly and efficiently. I highly recommend him!

Absolutely horrible experience with Dr. Gettenberg. He was on his way out the door in the middle of me explaining my situation, and he was dismissive of my symptoms. He even laughed off my symptoms, which have lingered and need real medical attention. I went to a new doctor and the new doctor said Dr. Gettenberg prescribed me the wrong dosage of medication. An awful doctor -- do NOT waste your money or your time with him.

i have been a patient for over 20 years and he has been amazing caring for me with my stomach issues. he is compassionate and caring. he is an amazing doctor.

Dr. Gettenberg had a very poor attitude which was highly disappointing since he is an NYU dr. He blamed my IBS solely on anxiety and offered no help. He gave me a high fiber food diet list and it turns out that a more competent and dedicated GI dr. at NYU disagreed feeling that increased fiber would worsen my symptoms. He also walked out while I was talking and left me with two young female residents who offered conflicting advise.I would never go back to him as he is undedicated and unempathic.
