Dr. Gary E Goberville

Rude uncaring all around a**hole the staff is nice and I feel bad for them working in such a dismal work environment shout out to the lightskin girl she's fine and cute

Dr. Goberville is not a very friendly person and rushes you through the eye exam. Also,my husband and I ordered a pair of glasses each and were told they'd be ready in about 3 weeks.As of today,a month later,we still have not received the glasses;have called twice;have gotten different versions of why they're not ready yet and have been told that maybe by the end of the next week,they'll be ready.In other words.no one knows when they'll be ready. Needless to say,we don't recommend this Dr. nor his business at all.

Altogether I was there about 2.5 hrs. It took 6 weeks to get my glasses. They are waiting on the Lens. Did I say six weeks. Every week I call and I get all sorts of lies. My insurance called and could not get any truthful information . They are so used to lying to cover up their incompetence that they can’t even keep track of the lies. I had to order glasses elsewhere while I waited and that took less than 2 weeks. After waiting 6 weeks they made it seem like it is normal .I began to wonder if this was a scam . I am not happy with my prescription or glasses. I could go on and on but I will just summarize it as awful .

Dr. Goberville is a decent ophthalmologist. However, my issue is the lack of communication by the practice. I waited over an hour to see the doctor because Dr. Goberville was running late. I understand things happen, but that was never communicated to me by the front staff. The least they could've done was to apologize for making me wait & letting me know that the Dr was going to be late. Very unprofessional and tried to overcharge me. My insurance covers 300.00 for contact lens yet when he came into the exam room looked at my file and said “Oh you only paid 108.00 last year which it what I owed. after the visit the office assistant stated I owed 332. I called my insurance co and placed the rep on speaker what my coverages are and yet still wanted to charge. He is not credible, clearly his only desire is to make a profit, and has no tact whatsoever. Stay away this guy is a joke!

I want to love this place because its close to home but there are just too many bad things happening lately. Dr G seems very knowledgeable but he almost seems annoyed to see you (and you're the one who just waited over an hour past your scheduled appointment when he unapologetically strolls in without even giving eye contact). The office is outdated, torn chairs, dirty carpet and so much clutter in every corner. As for cleaniless during covid the staff never cleaned the eye machines or exam room in front of me before or after exams, the Dr didn't use sanitizer on his hands either in front of me. Im sure he is skilled but I'd never know it because he barely talks at all. I leave feeling defeated and like I was a bother. Kindness, conversation, timeliness and cleaniless are all lacking badly. Hope it can turn around for them.

I want to commend the office manager, Tina for going above and beyond and getting my daughters contact to her on a weekend. Tina dropped them off on her way home from the office. She is a huge asset to the office which otherwise is run very poorly. Thank you Tina!!!!!

His interaction with me and my family was extremely unprofessional. As we entered as first time clients "Wow, the whole family is here" in a sarcastic tone. It didn't get much better afterwards. The demeaning culture that is establishment is riddled with should not be tolerated, I chose to take my business elsewhere.

Quite frankly the worst so called doctor I have ever encountered. He is extremely unprofessional and mean-spirited. I have had the unfortunate opportunity of working closely with him and watched as he verbally harassed employees and spoke down on patients. He seems to think extremely highly of himself for a “doctor” who can’t even seem to administer vision prescriptions correctly. He is undeserving of his title and may need to be sent back to pre-school to acquire manners and learn the art of common courtesy. Quite frankly the worst so called doctor I have ever encountered. Great doctor ! He is always willing to listen and help. My whole family goes to him. Highly recommend!

My wife and I have used Dr. Goberville for years. He is very competent and caring. The office staff were nice and helpful and the selection of glasses was great.

Horrible staff and office. I will never return back.

IT SUCKED: This doctor cannot be trusted with your eye care because he is not trustworthy enough to pay his bills.

Would recommend to everyone dr Goberville extremely knowledgeable and professional with compassion. Staff goes above and beyond to help with perfect ft great glasses affordable prices and doing all the work for you! Thank you so much. Have been going here for 8 years.

Extremely long wait time. The DR strolled into the office an hour after my scheduled appt and didn’t even apologize. His bedside manor was horrible. He should be ashamed to call himself a dr. Didn’t explain anything or even introduce himself. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with any dr.

I spoke to the office that gave us the referral and told me if the office of Dr. Goberville didn't have the referral yet I just had to tell them to call and they will send a new one directly to them. I Just called to schedule and appointment for my son and I explain that to the lady that answer the phone and she told me that she couldn't do that. I ask her why and she told me because they dint have time to do that, it was time consuming. She was with a really bad attitude, I decide to no take my son to that office after that. If is the type of service that I received on the phone, I don't want to know what type of service I am going to receive in person. I will take my business somewhere else. My first appointment I was not attended by the Dr. for over an hour 20 minutes constantly being told by staff you are coming up next ... I had to leave and reschedule for a second appointment which timing wise turned out a lot better since I was the second patient of the day. The prescription is not good for me and then I was told that they could adjust the lens for reading only but no further refund for the difference . So now I will be stuck with a very expensive reading lens.

The doctor was ok. Seemed knowledgable. Opticians seemed ok but the girl at the desk (Alyssa?) was completely rude.

What a nightmare , tech did most of the eye exam , I have a stigmatism which the doctor never mentioned a word about , my exam took 3 hours , needless to say I was livid , all he cares about was selling me a glasses, which they screwed up , it's been 2 1/2 weeks and they still have not got my glasses figured out , they originally made me lens that I did not order and told me on Friday my correct ones would be in on Monday , they never called and when I did they said they are here, awfulservice
