The hospital itself is pretty good, but we've had a lot of problems with medical billing. It's quite difficult to know what you're being billed for and bills sometimes come months later. After six months we received another bill from a hospital stay from some doctor in the emergency room even though three months ago supposedly everything had been paid and negotiated with the insurance. Last time we went in for a checkup with the neurologist, he brought his boss in to check my daughter. I guess that's protocol, but I got a bill from both doctors. I guess because it's healthcare they don't have to ask for permission, but if I'm scheduled to see a doctor, I don't expect other doctors coming in for a checkup and getting an extra bill for it. It was the same during the actual hospital stay where the doctor would swing by for five minutes just to say they're still waiting on the test results and say hi and bill the insurance $500 for those few minutes they were there. Had we known we would have told them not to come by unless they had information or actually needed to see something. All the nursing staff was very friendly, but had a hard time following doctors instructions. They'd ask me things about what the doctor told me and I'd need to tell them to look at my daughter's chart for what the doctor recommended instead of asking me.
