Dr. Gary T Smith

We have been with Dr.Shavers for years. He is kind and caring during the visits. But after the appointments, several times we were left alone. Even our vet is calling and checking our dogs health the next day! We had to call and ask for our lab results to be shown on the system. We do not hear back from the doctors for an evaluation even if there is something wrong with the bloodwork. When they need to schedule following appointments with other doctors or facilities, you don’t hear back from the front office. In short, you have to get another paid follow-up with Dr. Shavers to discuss what’s wrong with the results. Our messages do not forwarded to the doctor or he is too busy to get back. We have reported this to Dr.Shavers before, and he apologized on the behalf of the team, but this is just repeating for years. My wife is still in pain, still waiting for them to respond. Today we are done with this place. We will be looking for a new physician.

Dr. Gary Smith is probably the best primary care Doctor in the State of Tennessee. Very concerned about your health and is extremely professional in every single manner possible! If you want VERY professional attention to EVERY detail for your health care then Dr.Smith is the doctor for you.

Dr. Shavers is an exceptional doctor. I had come to the office for care on his day off. I received a personal phone call after hours with my test results and to check on my health. What a dedicated Doctor to have done so. Thank you.

The most caring doctors and staff. I have been going to them for 20+ years and would not go anywhere else.

I tried to get in to this practice and was told they will not take any new Medicare patients. (I also have private insurance to go along with that) Seems like discrimination to me. Wow.

Was recommended to them by one of Dr. Smith's patients and while my overall experience at the office was ok, I have been waiting nearly 2 weeks for blood work results after they told me it would be 3 days. So called back, left a message, never got a return call. Called again a few days later, was told the Dr who did the blood work would have to read me my results and he was on vacation (all the while I'm experiencing abdomen pain) and that he would return on Monday. So the receptionist tells me she will see if another Dr can read me my results and that they would call back that day. Never got that call. Called the next day, no answer, left a message and never received a call. Well it is now the Monday that I'm supposed to hear my results, so I call and again, no answer. You would think that upon trying to make a great first impression they would at least call, but nope. Nice receptionist and nice nurses and Doctors but there's no excuse for me having to wait 2 WEEKS without communication for results for abdomen pain that I hope is not serious. Huge waste of money, i would try your luck with another practice who takes their patients health more seriously. Have been going to Dr Smith for about 6 years! Wonderful Dr from his personal care/empathy to his knowledge/experience

They are so efficient and quick to get back to you. Dr Smith is very easy to communicate with, it makes for a comfortable visit.

He's been my GP for about a decade now and he's always so friendly.

Dr Smith was patient and did not make me feel rushed when describing why I was there. I'd definitely recommend him to others.

Rude don't listen, got attitude towards patient's

Refused to see my husband for his first appointment because we were running a little late due to a bad wreck. This doctor and his staff dont care about their patients i would not recomend them to anyone

Dr. Gary Smith is the best family doctor my husband and I have ever been to, he is polite, sweet, and beyond professional. We have never had a single issue with this office.

Exceptional. Respectful. Listens. Co-facilitates and serves as a partner in your health. He's been our family practitioner for over two decades.

One of the best office experiences that I have ever had. Making apt. was easy, wait time was minimal. Dr. Smith is very personable, The guy (forget his name) took blood for test was AWESOME!!! got blood on first try and this never has happens before with blood test for me. Highly recommend.
