Dr. T has been our orthopedist for over 30 years. He has always been thorough, compassionate,, and done right by us. The feeling I have is that anytime I have to come see him, when he walks in the room, I feel relieved and know that I will be better before I leave. Besides me, he has treat my wife and children. I am proud to be his patient.

Dr.T. listened to me and reflected on my specific issues. He is personable and knowledgeable. i would highly recommend him!

Dr. Tischenko is the kind of doctor a patient should have. I was his patient in the past for my shoulder & hip. He is knowledgeable, kind, personable, caring, and always professional. Presently, he is treating my husband for his arthritic knee. I highly recommend Dr. Tischenko anytime for quality orthopedic care.

He answers all questions during my visits and affords me with possible suggestions and routes for recovery and strengthening my shoulder that contribute to my rotary cuff tear (through Physical Therapy visits). You won’t find a better orthopedic practice. Their expertise and attention to detail are incomparable! This is definitely a five star medical group.

I first saw Dr. Tischenko for my hip but since he no longer handles hip surgery I had to change doctors. However I continued to see Dr. Tischenko in his bone clinic. He told me I was a good candidate for a new treatment for my bone condition. He never explained any of the potential side effects except to tell me that all drugs have side effects. I underwent two months of treatment but after the second treatment I had a bad reaction to the treatment. I let his office know about my reaction. I went to the emergency room because it felt like I was having a heart attack. I went to my cardiologist because my heartbeat would race whenever I did anything. The cardiologist had me tested to see if I had atrial fibrillation of the heart. I had other issues during this 3 month period after the treatment from Dr. Tischenko and had to see other specialists. During this time i never heard once from Dr. Tischenko to see how I was doing. Fortunately after 3-1/2 months I started feeling better. I spoke with someone from his office letting them know I was still interested in being treated but with a different drug. This person told me she would have the doctor contact me. I never heard from him. It’s almost like I no longer existed and it appears it’s all due to the fact that I had such a bad reaction to the drug treatment he gave me. Never again would I go to him or suggest him to anyone else.

Nothing but 5 stars for Golden State Orthopedics and , if possible, 10 stars for Dr. Tidchenko! Almost look forward to my appointments !

I fell, broke my wrist and had to have a plate in it while traveling in Eastern Europe. As soon as I got home I saw Dr. Tischenko for all my follow-up care. He took X-rays and confirm my overseas surgery was well done and has provided excellent follow-up care, helping me get disability and then eventually agreeing to writer letters to support the overseas surgery when my insurer denied my claim saying I could have flown home with a dislocated and broken wrist. He’s also very good at explaining and answering questions th ion, especially when he didn’t do the initial surgery.

Dr. Tischenko recently reviewed an MRI with a very clear finding that was missed by 2 previous providers He was able to quickly and accurately diagnose and refer me for a necessary complex procedure. He has my complete trust.

Dr. Tischenko is an excellent doctor who really listens and cares about his patients. I trust and highly recommend him

As always, my appointment with Dr. Tischenko was a success. I learned that my hips are in good shape, and by attending sessions with a therapist that Dr. Tischenko prescribed, and by doing the IT Band stretches and strengthening exercises at home, my tendinopathy of my gluteus mediums should improve

My wife and I have been going to see Dr T for years when our needs arise. He has done surgeries on both of us and the outcomes have been excellent. He is our go to orthopedic doctor in his specialty. He always has a very friendly professional demeanor when he greets you in the exam room and listens intently as to the reason for your visit and responds patiently in answering questions about your condition. He really has a genuine care for his patients and is highly regarded and respected by other doctors as well as RNs and hospital personnel. He’s a very likable orthopedic doctor due to his overall demeanor in treating his patients. He truly lives up to the Hippocratic Oath doctrine he took many years ago. Sharon and I thank you, Dr T.

I’ve been seeing Dr Tischenko for about 20 years. He is fabulous, exceptional, and I recommend him to everyone !

Dr. T is not only a competent ally but is an excellent communicator and a warm human being. I've been seeing him for years and will stick with him and hope he never retires - at least while I'm of this world.

This was my first visit with Dr. Tischenko. He was very knowledgeable and I felt like I was in good hands. I don’t have enough history with the office to provide a truly objective assessment of the care they provide, but I would recommend them and Dr. Tischenko to others.

Dr Tischenko made all the difference in the world to me. A wonderful man and group of people!

I was given a first appointment very quickly. Dr Tischenko is so kind, thoughtful, caring and a great listener. He does not leave any stone unturned. I am so lucky he was able to see me quickly. I cannot say enough good things about him! I am feeling very blessed and grateful he I am in his care through a difficult journey!

Possibly competent, but was very condescending and rude to me. I went to another doctor and was much better treated.

My experience with Dr. Tischenko was very positive. I went to see him about a knee injury, and he did an excellent job of using a model to explain how the knee is constructed, and then clearly explained the MRI results to me. I would definitely go to him again.

I have seen Dr Tischenko for both shoulder and knee issues, over several years. There is no better orthopedist or more compassionate human. He is truly amazing. He even made a house call once!!!

I was seen right on time and am so grateful for the kindness and care that I received. After quickly learning my issue wasn't in his wheel house he and his administration spent about 15 minutes trying to find a colleague or other provider to help. He made me a quick appointment through the referring clinic that I headed to and was treated right away. I could not recommend him more...he truly cares!

I shattered my tibial plateau into about 6 pieces 22 years ago. Dr Tischenko preformed my surgery at John Muir Hospital wherevi worked as an orthopedic nurse. He did such a fantastic job that I am still pain free and move and walk without any problems. I highly recommend dr Tischenko!!

Dr Tischenko replaced my severely damaged right knee a year ago. The results are truly truly delightful!. The transition from painfully limping to comfortably walking, working and exercising is remarkable. I was back exercising and driving in about a month. The scar is barely visible.

Dr. Tischenko is very talented and also kind, communicative and not in a rush for surgery. We tried several rounds of shots and physical therapy before we together agreed it was time for a total knee replacement. He explained what I could expect from the day of surgery as well as what to expect with my recovery. It was not an easy surgery, but completely successful. I was in pain with every step for before surgery and less than a year later I am pain free and can walk over 6 miles with no issues

Dr. Tischenko is caring, thorough, and an excellent surgeon. He listens well and explains the mechanics of the human body well without being condescending. He operated on my shoulder four years ago, was excellent with follow up, and I healed and went on to a 100% recovery from a torn rotator cuff. I've recently hurt my opposite shoulder and saw the doctor today, and I feel I am in the very best hands to help me work through this new injury and onward toward healing.

Dr. Tischenko did a great job, replacing my total knee. After 8 weeks, I am able to walk normally without any help. My knee healed completely, with a perfect, almost invisible cut. Dr. Tischenko is not only a great surgeon, but also a great person.
