Dr. Ghassan E. Boghosian

Six months ago Dr. Boghosian performed my robotic assisted knee replacement and I could not be more happy or thankful for his expertise. There is no surgar coating of the after pain or discomfort which comes with this major surgery, but I am convinced my 5" scar and my 2 months of difficulty was worth it. At my physical therapy office, the people I met who had "non robotic assisted" knee replacment had much more difficulty and longer recovery than I at 75 years. Of course that could be an anomaly - but I give all credit to Dr. B. I am walking better than I have in 5 years and no pain. Dr. Boghosian listened to all my concerns and fears - and I am so glad he performed my surgery as I haven't felt this great in years, thank you so much Dr. B!

As the recipient of my first joint replacement, I was a bit nervous. Dr. B was highly recommended and he and his team surely lived up to their great reputation. His mini posterior procedure left only a small scar and healed up quickly. I was back to hiking in 4 weeks and golf in 5-6. Eisenhower Ortho staff members have these surgeries down to a science, and Dr. Boghosian is awesome! Thank you all!

I had a WONDERFUL experience with Dr. Boghosian. I had a mini posterior approach - total right hip replacement (the incision in the side hip). Everything went so smoothly, and I had no post op pain. The incision was very small and healed quickly. His whole teem was a joy to work with. The Dr. has a great bedside manner which helped alleviate my FEAR of the surgery.

Saw the Dr. for a second opinion about a poorly done hip replacement. Found him not to be interested in my explanation and just was talking away in his machine with notes. He basically said to me that the opinion of two other Drs. were of no value and I should go to a pain specialist and physical therapy for the third time since the last hip surgery. Waste of my money and the insurance companies.

Dr. Bogoshian is fantastic! He is extremely knowledgeable and executes the Mako-plasty technique for Full Robotic knee replacement surgery to the highest level. I highly recommend him. He is tops and I also recommend his protocol for the use of the ROM-tech bike for physical therapy recovery. I form scar tissue and this technique was so helpful in the prevention of scar tissue formation post surgery last year. In the Fall of 2021, I was home within a few hours after surgery and am scheduled to have a full knee replacement for the other knee in March of 2022. I had another doctor (not in the desert) perform a partial knee replacement 12 years ago that has now gotten to the point I need a full knee.

Dr. Boghosian in my opinion and many Eisenhower staff members say his is the best in what he does!! Dr Benjamin is also excellent. I would higher recommend both!!

Dr did not allow me sufficient time when I was nervous and had questions, said he was in the driver seat, so to speak I should "calm down", condescending in his conversation and disrespectful to my feelings and me as the patient. Dr did not go over my personal medical history, advised of a method of surgery that he'd do without running by options and info he gave me on the procedure he intended to do was contrary to info from other sources. It is a nightmare getting calls answered or medical questions answered. He may be skilled but his lack of people skills and non responsive office outweighs the positive . Seek other assistance.

My partner went in with knee pain and was diagnosed with vascular necrosis. Dr. Boghosian basically said "nothing we can do, too bad" and dismissed us. Dr. Facile at Desert Regional put him on a medication that's supposed to help with this condition but we're not really seeing much improvement yet but were told it would take time. I am thankful and i was well cared for by Dr. Boghosian, Dr. Janice Mayer, the team at Eisenhower, and the physical therapy teams. This was a journey over time. My hip surgery done by Dr. Boghosian was seamless! I only wish that I wouldn't have waited so long, but am glad to start living an active life again. I have nothing but high grades for Dr. Boghosian and his staff!

I had a total knee replacement with Dr Boghosian 8 weeks ago. As a retired surgeon I am experienced with being on the other side of the scalpel rather than as a patient. I was very impressed with Dr Boghosian ‘s demeanor as well as his skills in my surgery. I would highly recommend him for those contemplating knee replacement.

Dr. Boghosian is FANTASTIC! On June 9th I had a full hip replacement on my left hip. This was my first surgery ever at the young age of 70. Dr. Boghosian has the best bedside manners I have seen from any medical professional in my life. I would recommend him to everyone for your hip and/or knee, he is the BEST! He takes the time to walk your through the process, so that you know what is going to happen. I saw the doctor yesterday, one month after my surgery. I am walking 1/2 mile without assistance. Of course, I am doing my exercises as directed and going to PT twice a week. I had very little pain throughout the procedure and recovery. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Boghosian and I just sent a friend to him and she will be having the same surgery. I had a hip replacement and it was less painful than going to a dentist. I was discharged the same day and walked without a walker or cane. I never had any pain and immediately began walking outside and standing in the kitchen. I hadn’t done that for two years. His technique does not cut through any muscles and there is no nerve damage. Also, no staples to remove. The incision is coved with steri strips that fall off on their own. I have watched others who have had hip replacements, and none had a recovery like mine. He is the best...also I’m 72 years old.

All of my experience with Dr. Boghosian has been extremely positive, starting with my initial consultation, through the surgical procedure, and onto the post-op check/evaluation. He answered all of my questions/concerns very lucidly and with patience. He explained the entire procedure and told me what to expect as far as possible post-op discomfort, healing time, and temporary limitations. The surgery was totally successful and I should be back to 100% of my pre-surgical activity but without the arthritic pain. Also, his office staff was very efficient, yet warm/friendly in my interactions with them. I would definitely recommend Dr. Boghosian to family and friends.

Performed a total hip replacement for me. Fabulous result: no pain, walking right away, minimal incision sites. He also has a wonderful manner with patients. Listens well, provides clear answers and in my case, answered every question before I asked it. Can't say enough good things.

Left hip replacement surgery. Exceptional results. Very fast recovery. Listened to all of my questions and provided through answers during my pre and post surgery office visits. In home health care and PT for two weeks after surgery was excellent. Out patient PT for last three weeks has been excellent. Exceptional team providing excellent services.

I had a total knee replacement.....He is a caring professional. I'm an RN and I think he is a wonderful surgeon. My new knee is doing great!

I'm 4 weeks post-op from a full knee replacements. The whole experience was completely seamless. Next month I'll be getting the other knee replaced and I have confidence in Dr. B and his staff that it'll be just as successful as the first.

I am 4 weeks post-op from a total knee replacement. My recovery has been so much easier than I had expected. I couldn't be any happier with this whole process. The staff that works with Dr. Boghosian are wonderful to work with, too. Next month Dr. B will doing my other knee. I have complete confidence that the next steps (pre-op appts, etc.) will be just as smooth and seamless as the first replacement.

Dr Boghosian has done 2 total hip replacements for me. The last one done in December 2018. I had no trouble with either surgery and was very impressed with Dr. Boghosian and his staff and with Lidsay Smith his assistant. Full replacement knee surgery on July 31. It is now 2 months since surgery and I'm doing great. Scar is almost invisible and 95% of the pain is gone. Highly recommend.

Dr Boghosian and his staff treated me with respect and caring throughout my two knee replacements this past year. Their instuctions and guidance are straight forward and my speedy and mostly pain-free recovery were the results. I am 82 and on March 19, 2019 he gave me a customized total knee replacement. I am way ahead on flexibility, no longer take pain meds, and will be released from PT next week. Dr Bogosian is the best. He did a full left hip replacement Jan 8 th of 2019. Dr B has looked over my hips and knees for 3 years. Not until The cortisone shots stopped working did doctor B even consider a full hip replacement. I’m 3 months out and couldn’t be happier. The pain is gone. I had Hip Replacement Surgery with Dr Boghosian on 2/26/19. The surgery went great, and both Dr Boghosian and his staff are First Class. They are caring, compassionate, helpful, and care about their patients . Dr Boghosian always took his time with me, answering all of my questions, and was never in a rush. Today, I am walking without my cane and feel that I finally have my life back. I would highly recommend Dr Boghosian and his great staff.

Dr. Bogosian is a fabulous surgeon. I had knee surgery January 22, 2019 and 59 days later, I am able to go back to my normal life. He guided me through the healing process. After hearing many recommendations for . Bhogosian, I went for a first visit. He patiently answered questions and went through each option for my knee. I chose to have a total knee replacement. I have had two knee replacements performed by Dr. Boghosian. One knee was replaced on 6/15/18 and the second one on 2/01/19. I cannot recommend Dr. Boghosian enough. Had total left knee replacement 4 ½ weeks ago. Extremely pleased with both the results and the procedure. The Doctor’s team functions as a well oiled machine, from the first explanatory visit through the ongoing follow-up. The day of surgery was especially impressive. I recently had two total knee replacement surgeries within 3 months. I was sceptical at first to undergo the second surgery after only 7 weeks. My recuperation time was very fast and minimally painful. Dr Boghosian and his staff were very supportive.

I recently had a knee replacement and leg re-alignment surgery with Dr. Ghassan Boghosian of Eisenhower Desert Orthopedic Center and could not be more pleased with the entire experience. My full knee replacement of two years ago was extremely painful from the very beginning (a different surgeon) and continued to inhibit my physical activities. Dr Bighosian recognized what was wrong and performed the procedure, it took aproximally 45 minutes, I was in overnight and I am happy to say eight weeks later that I am totally free of pain. I have full movement and have resumed all physical activities. I highly recommend Dr Bighosian and his amazing staff.

I was fortunate to have both knees done by Dr. Boghosian,not only is he a gentleman and caring Doctor he is probably the best orthopedic in this Valley.I never had to use any assistance walking days after my surgery minor pain and fast recovery.

I was born with a floating knee cap. I have had three previous surgeries, with the last one being more than 45 years ago. These surgeries had seen their better days. My knee was toast and needed repair. Dr Boghosian took on the challenge, with the likes of a knee he had never seen before. Latest technology, incredibly gifted surgeon and PA. Traveled to CA to have Dr Bogoshian do this cutting edge technique, well worth it! Reached all my goals: extension and flex ion within 6 weeks, was walking 4 hours after surgery with a walker, without my limp! Walked without a walker by 4 th day. Best surgical experience I have ever had. He gave me my active life back! Priceless. Very down to earth for a stellar surgeon. He really cares!

I had a lot of knee pain, when I stood or walked. My knees lock up while standing. I chose Dr. Boghosian to do knee replacement surgery on both knees. I had one done 10 months ago, I was 89. I had the other one done 5 months later when I was 90. I still have minor pain, but nothing like bone on bone. It takes time to heal , but for me it was an improvement in my walking distance. Dr. Boghosian replaced my hip May 2017. The surgery was very successful. I had little pain, a rapid recovery and was able to return to all my activities within a month. In addition he is a very caring person, taking time to explain options and procedures and concerned for the health and comfort of his patients. I heard many positive comments about Dr. Boghosian after being been referred to him for hip surgery and I unequivocally say he exceeded ALL expectations. Aside from his excellent reputation as the best ortho surgeon around, he's incredibly kind & caring - truly a Dr who is sincerely "interested" in his patients.
