Dr. Godswill O Okoji

I came here to do my immigration medical exam. It was the cheapest option, but I regret not paying more and going elsewhere. They messed up in several ways (including not being able to draw blood, twice, and leaving me with bruises everywhere). I had to visit them 3 times. MD Okoji never made eye contact, yelled at me twice, and never answer any medical question based on the lab results (he insinuated once that the question I was asking wasn’t included in the form…). This form is filled once so I am not a recurrent patient prospect, but that doesn’t justify the treatment, what a poor display of professionalism and ethics. Worst medical experience ever. Worst MD ever. The front desk people were friendly, though.

The worst. He is very disrespectful, argumentative and shows bouts of anger for unknown reasons. I would never recommend anyone to his practice. Also, his staff will lie to protect him as well as their employment with him.

I had visited this doctor a few times without incident. Today (12/17/21) was the worst experience I've ever had with any physician. Not only did I receive substandard service, he used profanity at me and my wife. I've had my left leg amputated due to complications of diabetes. The reason for my appointment was for him to examine my right foot which seem to be showing signs of an infection between my smallest toe. Without even examining my foot, he glanced down and asked, "What is it you want me to do?" I responded, "Well, the only reason we are here is for you to give us a referral to a podiatrist so I can have my foot examined and treated." He responded, "Well, who do you want to see, because I don't know anybody. If we have to find somebody for you to see, that's extra work for my staff." We mentioned the name of a podiatrist we had found who does accept our insurance, and stated that he will not see any patients without a referral. Once again, he glanced down at my foot and stated, "You will need a vascular surgeon. A podiatrist won't be able to help you." I responded, "Why didn't you just say that?" I, also, asked how he could make that decision without even examining my foot. His response was that I was overtalking him and didn't give him a chance. At this point, I began to put on my sock and shoe and told my wife that we should go because he's not helping us. He became furious and said to my wife and I, "Well just go. Get the hell out of here and don't come back." I responded, "Oh, you don't need to worry about that." As we left the exam room and entered into the waiting room to exit his business, he continued to yell from the exam room for my wife and I to get the hell out. This could be heard by his staff as well. There were no other patients present in the waiting area. Now, I understand why. I have already filed a grievance with my insurance company. I will be filing a complaint with The Better Business Bureau and I am, also, in the process of reporting this incident to The Maryland and DC Board of Physicians. Rude front office staff. Terrible customer service. This office takes advantage of immigrants. Asking for cash, not allowing people to use. This doctor is not patient enough to describe care to the patients. A place where people are making a quick buck. They also booked me for a follow up appointment on a day when the office was closed. I arrived and no one was there. Never again. It's said how people are treated in PG County. Seriously

Dr Okoji has been my Dr since Dr. Barnes passed away. He has always been professional, answered my questions and shown care and concern. I appreciate him as my doctor and his staff has always been professional and couterous.

One of the front medical staff members is rude,dismissive,combative and highly impatient while the other one is patient as well as accommidating and seems to know the patients very well. You would expect to be treated better by someone who is educated in a certain field. I have history with you as my doctor and I am disheartened to be treated any kind of way and talked to in such a belittling manner. I can tell she does not like me and that's where the professionalism ends for me.
