Dr. Evens replaced my left knee and I it was the best experience I have ever had with any medical professional. If his credentials alone didn’t speak well enough, his personality was warm and instilled every confidence that I was in expert hands. I referred many other people just because of my experience. And since then I have spoken to other surgeons that spoke highly of him also. I highly recommend Dr. Greg Erens and would definitely call on him again if needed.

Dr. Greg Erens of Emory Hospital performed a full knee replacement on my left knee around mid-2018. I had been advised he was a consciences and competent surgeon with a fine track record. Post-surgery, the replacement seemed successful in every way; alignment and length were correct, motion was normal, and pain was well controlled. Three years having passed, I wouldn’t know the knee was replaced. Motion is essentially as before, the knee is strong, and I have no pain. Bottom line, an excellent experience and everything I could hope of a knee replacement. Thank you Dr. Erens. Richard Aberle

Dr Erens completed a total right knee replacement for me at the end of May 2021. The team worked with me to manage pain, and I was off narcotics within a month. I worked hard at physical Therapy and was able to paddle board at 46 days, and return to cardio and strength training on a race board at 11 weeks. New knee feels good and I am optimistic about many more years without the rt knee limitations and pain.

Was less than pleased. 3 MDs have told me I need my hip replaced. He said no I did not. They lost my CD with the MRI on it. Hard to get hold of the office.

Dr Erens changed my life. I had a full knee replacement in early December 2015 and went on a fly fishing trip to Chile 7 weeks later. 5 years later it feels great and I’ve had no issues whatsoever.

Dr. Erens truly saved my life. He is 100% committed to his patients and his patients care. I have not idea what my outcome would have been if I did not have Dr. Erens has my care provider. He is the most professional, knowledgeable and caring doctor I have EVER known. I will be eternally grateful to him and his staff for providing the BEST care possible and because of him I'm here today to happily complete this survey. He is without a doubt the BEST!

Dr Erens is exceptional! He and his staff are very professional and caring. Had my second hip replacement on 1/24/2020. Again phenomenal results. Fast recovery and very minimal pain. Dr Erens is top notch in his field. I applaud him, and would recommend him again and again.

Dr. Erens is an awesome Doctor. He is explains everything in layman's terms, and makes you very confident that you are going to leave way better than you came in initially. He is honest about the expected outcomes. I have had two surgeries with doctor Erens with outstanding out comes.

Phenomenal! He and his staff took excellent care of me and my knee. As a younger patient who had never undergone surgery within memory, I was inherently nervous for my life-changing procedure. Dr. Erens and his team not only went out of their way to make me feel comfortable & taken care of from consultation to recovery. They even called my parents 4 separate times throughout the actual surgical procedure to update them continuously. I cannot stress enough how thankful I am to Dr. & his team for not only giving me the quality of life I deserve, but for doing so with kindness & empathy! Thank y’all so much!!!

The surgery went very well. I was up walking the next day, I had to stay an extra day because my heart rate was questionable to the doctor in charge. I have been doing things for myself with very little help.. The pain is less but the soreness is still there. I am doing very well for only one week in. Thank you Dr. Erens.

My experience with Dr. Erens has been exceptional. Dr. Erens explained what I could expect from the knee replacement and gave me confidence that I had chosen the right doctor given that I had undergone many prior surgeries. His office made all the preparations and scheduling go smoothly. On surgery day, everyone on staff was friendly, professional and empathetic. The procedure went as described and I was home resting the same afternoon. Now re-habbing and looking forward to using my new knee!

Dr. Erens is an awesome doctor! Not only am I happy with the results of my anterior hip replacement, but He and his team, were very attentive and kind! I genuinely felt that I was in good hands and cared for.

Total hip replacement at 7:15 a.m. and left the hospital to go home to Athens Ga at 2:30. Unbelievable! Everything was much easier than I had imagined. My fears were unfounded.

I was very pleased with professionalism of Dr. Erens and his entire surgical team including Dr. Joseph, the anesthesiologists. I was also pleased with the entire experience from pre-op to post op. A special thanks to RN Renee in recovery who helped me out of bed and on to the “dance floor” for New Years just 10 hours after surgery.

He is very patient, knowledgeable, kind, and passionate about his gift. I’m very happy that I chose him to be my orthopedic doctor.

Dr Erens took the time to explain the procedure, prerequisites, and post-surgical results expected. All of the details that he provided were very clear and at a level of understanding that I could easily comprehend. The post-surgery, I'm doing so well that I should have a spectacular recovery.

Dr. Erens is Great! Professional, a Hip Specialist, Kind, Patient, Good Listener, Understanding He followed up with me at home a couple days after surgery to check in on me and answer the question i had. I would definitely recommend Dr. Erens!

My wife and I found the meeting/s with Dr. Erens and the Pre-OP experience to be very informative with all our questions being answered. I was able to develop a clear understanding of the surgery and recovery process. The medical team was well trained and communicated the steps in the process well.

Dr. Erens came highly recommended and I was not disappointed. He set my expectations properly, performed the surgery and after only (1) week I am very mobile and can even walk without the assistance of the walker for a bit.

My surgery and immediate post-op period was mostly as expected. I had more swelling in my leg above and below the surgical site than I had expected and managing the pain from the swelling was difficult. The adductor block was very helpful in reducing pain in surgical site at the knee but not above, below, medial and lateral. 10 days out, my pain is managed with the meds as prescribed. Thanks.

Absolutely!! I have already recommended a friend to see Dr. Erens. I was very impressed with Dr. Erens bedside manners. He addressed both me and my wife on my condition and what to expect during surgery. He gave us his undivided attention during my visit. What impressed me about Dr. Erens was when he talked he look us both in our eyes, which is not common when seeing physicians. Dr. Greg Erens is the best, I recommend him highly to everyone I speak with. I had a knee replacement. I knew every step of the way what to expect before, during and after the surgery.
