Customer service is not top priority. They still write all appointments in a book by hand so, if you call because you forgot when your next appointment is, they have to search, which is also annoying to the staff. When calling during office hours but they’re on another line, the system won’t allow you to leave a message so you have to keep calling. If you call to schedule for something urgent but they don’t have openings until much further out, they don’t have a cancellation list, you just have to keep calling. I just called another dermatologist and they could get me in the same day and they have online scheduling. I’ve also seen Dr. Piro a couple of times for eczema and breakouts. The meds he prescribed didn’t help - the condition just kept getting worse. Upon a follow up visit, I told him the meds weren’t helping so I stopped using them and started eating healthier and eating an anti-inflammatory diet which seemed to be helping. He told me not to stop using the meds and that my “homeopathic cures” will not help me, even though I just finished telling him that things were getting much better with the diet changes and without his meds. Found out through testing w/my PCP that my inflammation levels were over three times the normal levels . Dr. Piro could have been the first to point out that exzema can be a sign of elevated inflammation which could have led to further testing which could have saved me from a blood clot scare but he was only interested in treating the symptoms and not the cause. I will not be returning.

Waited until 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment, then left.

My primary referred me to this specialist and had nothing but a positive experience.

Dr. Piro and his staff are very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. I have been a patient as well as my children and they have been amazing. I have and will continue to recommend him and his staff for any of our dermatological needs

Not a happy patient. I went here against the protestations of my spouse who also had a negative experience here a few years back. They were “out of network” for my insurance so they informed me up front “it may cost a little more” than normal, not a dealbreaker. Went in for a simple spot on my face, they started freezing several small spots on my arms and head without asking, giving me a chance to decline, or informing me it would increase my bill significantly. Now I have a very sizeable and unexpected bill and the tiny spot I originally went in for was never fully treated. Called the office to discuss and they basically told me I was lying and that I WAS informed prior to the additional treatment. Now I’m stuck with a fat bill and the need to find a competent provider with reasonable ethics.

Friendly staff. Doctor has really helped my son. His treatments worked great. Would highly recommend him.

Dr. Piro misdiagnosed skin cancer after seeing him for several years. This resulted in major surgery which included the removal of a large portion of the top of my nose.

Receptionist is extremely rude, I called as a new patient asking if I was covered by medicaid. Once she heard medicaid, she talked to me like I was trash. Good Luck!

Came in for my first appointment today and I felt very safe with Covid-19 protocols.

I do like the Doctors there, especially Ashley, however, you cannot get an appointment unless it's over a month and a half out. What if you had an area of concern that needed immediate attention? When I called to ask about making an appointment for this reason, I was told that there was nothing available until a month and a half out. What is the point of having a doctor then if you can't be seen WHEN YOU NEED A DOCTOR? Especially if you have something that is concerning and needs more immediate attention. Very disappointing. If you are a new patient though, never fear, they have appointments for you ready to go quickly. So they can get your money and bill your insurance. But if you need to go back for something, you are better off going to urgent care where you can be seen by an actual doctor in a timely manner. Pretty sure skin cancer doesn't wait for your dermatologist to have an appointment for you. I have been a patient of Dr. Piro for almost 20 years. I went to him initially because I had an urgent matter to be looked at and the dermatologist I had been going to wouldn't get me in for three weeks. On the recommendation of a family member, I called Dr. Piro's office and they squeezed me in within 2 days. I have gone to him ever since. He's thorough, smart, his office runs very efficiently, it's always immaculate -- never once have I regretted my decision to see him. Also, I drive over 40 miles one way to his office. That's how much I think of him.

My family and I have always received highly skilled, experienced professional care here

We are relatively new patients of Dr. Piro. The office area is clean and up to date. The staff is friendly and co operative. Ashley, the PA, is excellent and has been very helpful.

Dr. Piro is a good man and has helped me in the past a lot. As I kept going I realized I am not a fan of conventional medicine, but naturopathic medicine. I also had some misdiagnosis's .

I just hate how Dr. offices and the medical industry in general can charge you whatever they want after the office visit, without saying anything upfront..I had Pirro suggest a particualr treatment "is free", but I still get a bill in the mail. what other industry gets to operate this way? honest businesses tell you the price upfront. not Pirros fault but sick of how an entire industry get to operate this way. I have been a patient of Dr. PIRO since he opened his practice in Howell Mich. I have always found him and the staff to be professional, caring and courteous. I would recommend his entire office to anyone needing a top notch Dermatologist.

I have been seeing Dr. Piro for over seven years. He is very caring, takes time to talk and answer questions, explains everything he does and why he is doing it. He has helped me with my precancerous spots and redness. I highly recommend him and his friendly staff.

Be careful when making an appointment. I scheduled a full body check for my husband. He goes and they ask why he's there. He says my wife is concerned about a few moles. They lift his shirt take a look and send him on his way. Less than 10 minutes total in the office and $160 and he's out the door. They told me it was his fault for not saying he was there for a full body check. So your a dermatologist and someone comes in the office with concern for a few moles. You look at only those moles and not the rest of the body? He's been in your office before and your charts would show the last time he had a full body check and that he's due for one. But it's not your responsibility to know that. It's the patients. Seems to me a good dermatologist would look at the patient as ask when the last time they had a full check was? Since it was an 8 am appointment I'm not sure what the hurry would be. Whether they do a full body check or look at 2 moles they still get $160. Be careful when making an appointment. Just had my 3rd micro needle procedure. I looked terrible keaving the office; but this morning you can hardly tell I had anything done. VERY happy how my skin is looking!

I just finished my second session of the Micro-needling and I absolutely love the results. My skin looks great for such an easy procedure.
