Good experience
I had very amazing experience with Dr Ward his staff was really respectful and kind and understanding and polite Dr Ward was really caring and understanding down the Earth he's very caring about he's patience respectful he listens to you I never had to wait too long in the waiting room they call you back pretty quick
Dr Ward really took the time to listen to me as a patient. He was kind, concerned and realized just where I was in having to deal with pain day in and day out. And now we are taking the steps in alleviating my pain.

This man is a joke! He has caused my husband to suffer greatly and he will suffer for the rest of his life. He did surgery on my husband 2 years ago and ended up causing an entirely new problem which has now left my husband with permanent nerve damage. We tried to tell him and his staff there was a serious problem and they ignored us completely. He was rude and dismissive when approached about this and dumped us off on a pain management physician. Other surgeons and physicians have helped my husband, including a second surgery where a huge mistake was found from the initial surgery. Thank God for them. Not to mention his office staff is very rude. Please seek a second or even third opinion. There are many other wonderful surgeons out there.
His has taken such great care of me since i first injured my back. After accident with 18 wheeler he was able to find what was wrong with my back after workman comp. Doctors could not. Just up and going after extensive surgery and going great
Answers all questions. Very thoughtful.
Dr. Ward has treated my mom with her hydrocephalus since 2014. Honest, and caring are two things you want in someone dealing with your loved one. My mom has felt so comfortable with him and his team, that when she found out her insurance wasn't going to be taken by his office she immediately got herself on a new plan in the new year. Thank goodness she did, since he just finished fixing her up again! Brain surgery is not something anyone is 'excited' for, but I can say at least this visit I knew I had a knowledgable surgeon that would take care of my mom! Thank you Dr. Ward and Team! Dr. Ward removed a brain tumor from my wife on July 12th 2010 at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth. He saved her life. He did an outstanding job, and she returned to her normal way of life with no side effects or issues.
Dr. Ward is very professional, personable and inspires confidence. I very much trust his judgement.
Had back issues for many years due to a car accident. After almost 20 years of pain, I now have much much pain relief. He told me what he was seeing on the MRI and even showed me. He is one of the best doctors I have ever met.
Dr Gregory Ward fixed my neck 1996 or 1997 I had three herniated disks. I have had no trouble with my neck since. I was in so much pain when I first saw him but since I got hurt on my job I had to get second opinion per my employer. So I suffered 3 months before I told them I wanted Dr Ward to do surgery. After all these years still no problems. He fused the three disks and I have a titanium plate for support. I am so thankful. Thank you Dr Gregory Ward. My name was different then. May need back surgery in future. This is the doctor I wilL choose if that is needed. ❤️❤️❤️ Dr Gregory Ward fixed my neck 1996 or 1997 I had three herniated disks. Worst ever. After the staff called me 3 times to make sure I was bringing in Both MRI discs, the doctor didn't even bother looking or addressing the second issue I made the appointment for. Seemed too "preppy" and much too smug for my liking. Luckily I found another doctor for a second opinion that actually took the time to listen to everything I had to say and addressed every issue I had made the appointment for. If I could leave zero stars I would!
Dr Ward conpleted my brain surgery in Nov of 2017 and removed my tumor and was highly praIsed by my Drs at MD Anderson in Houston.
Dr. Ward is very personable while being a straight shooter. He was very easy to talk to and did a wonderful job on my neck! Surgery went very smoothly with immediate improvement! This procedure had me nervous and he and his staff did an outstanding job with me, helped me feel very comfortable and I have had very minimal pain, even immediately after surgery! Thanks to Dr. Ward and his staff! World class in my book!
I had been to Dr. Ward several times as he is awesome. For herniated disk in lower back and surgery to replace the disk in my neck. I have not had any issue with those but now I have a bulging disk in my lower left back. He is treating me now. He is the best.
First time visit via a referral. Dr. Ward took time with me, explained my medical problems/conditions. He presented me with a list of options. With his explanations, I was able to make an informed decision on my future care.
II had to wait 2 hours in waiting room, then Dr. Ward spent about one minute with me. Not helpful with answering my questions. Not helpful at all. A total waste of my time--and after waiting 2 hours. Also, the office staff was very unfriendly. Overall, a bad experience. I would never go back.
Excellent Doctor
Everything went perfect! I definitely recommend Dr. Ward.
My wife has been pain free for two years thanks to doctor Ward.
Dr. Ward has ably and professionally treated me for spinal stenosis for approximately 15 years requiring multiple surgeries at both the cervical and lumbar levels. All surgeries were successful. My recent visit required a myelogram for which scheduling was promptly made by his staff. I have always been able to depend on Dr. Ward to keep me comfortable and functioning to carry on my profession.
Had consultation concerning upcoming surgery. Ward spent good 30 minutes explaining type of surgery & why necessary. Have set time for procedure with no problem.
Dr. Ward immediately put me at ease as he carefully listened to me as I explained my symptoms. He thoroughly went over the results of my MRI and explained what issues I was facing. Overall, a wonderful experience.
Excellent appointment. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful and informative. Dr. was great, answered all my questions and took the time need.
I have had two office visits and found the staff to be very pleasant and accommodating. Office runs on time with a very short wait time before my visit with Dr. Ward. He has always been very friendly and took the time necessary to answer all of our questions regarding the procedure I will be having. His office staff is very helpful, very friendly and have really made things go very smoothly. Definitely would recommend.
Both Dr.Ward and his staff were wonderful. They took care of all my needs. Dr. Ward explained every thing, gave me options and everything went as he said it would. I cannot express how happy I am with Dr. Ward and his staff.
My visit was for my initial visit concerning back and leg issues I was having. Dr. Ward was very friendly and what I liked the most, he was confident that he could fix my problems. He answered all of my questions and even came back in when I thought of more questions. He took the time so that I understood what was going on with my back and how he was going to fix it. Also, his Nurse Practitioner and all of the office staff have been exceptional.

I did not get to see Dr ward but I am giving one star because of my bad experience with his receptionist. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist asked me all the personal and insurance informations. She then says she only has one opening before the year. In order for me to get that spot,I need to get my primary doctor to fax the referral,MRI report and clinical note ASAP. If she doesn’t get those papers soon , I would lose the spot and I could not get appointment until the mid January. I made great effort to have my PCP to rushed to get all those items faxed to her. When I called to check if she had received, she states she is too busy to check. She will let me know later. She called next day only to tell me that Dr. Ward is not provider for my Insurance. I went through all theses for nothing ? I was pretty upset about whole situation. If they don’t accept my insurance, why didn’t they tell me in the beginning? Why did she made me to get that referral letter, mri report and my pcp clinic notes faxed to her in such rushed manner? She wasted my whole two days. If Dr.Ward’s office staff is this bad, I don’t think I can trust Dr Ward to operate my neck. I did not get to see Dr ward but I am giving one star because of my bad experience with his receptionist. I agree with some comments about the admin staff leaves something to be desired but as for Kristin and Dr. Ward they are a tremendous team. I know being in the front line as admin is not an easy job for a highly sought after Doc, however, most admin professionals are better equipped to handle difficult and potentially tragic situations than others. Some admins not well educated in soft skills management or people skills. Empathy and understanding are not taught, you have it or you don't. This is sad that Dr Ward and Kristin can get a bad rap because of some rude and unprofessional staff. I hope future commenters will let Kristin or the Doc owner know so they help resolve complaints and eliiminate the risk of low ratings caused by dislike of office staff. Drs. Can't fix something they don't know about and Office Managers don't always think about how their staff affects a Dr rating on these reviews. I understand because my husband and I lost faith in a GP after 4 medical clerical mistakes by his staff. Let us do right by the Doc Ratings should be allowed for clerical staff, or professional staff-doctor or other. Don't down rate Dr. Ward because of the admins. Let appropriate staff know of your bad and Good experiences. Maybe God picked Greg Ward for us in our emergency. Sue Ellen Bodenhamer MS,BS,6 Sigma sueellentrout@gmail. Love this doctor!! He listens and answers all your questions. Neck surgery is scary but he made me feel as comfortable as possible.
Appointments were kept on time. Took time to explain everything. Staff is friendly and professional.
In 2012 Dr. Ward took a spinal cord tumor out of me. He took good care of me then and he is still taking good care of me.
Excellent care and consideration for me and my wife as patients. Dr Ward is the best, most caring of Doctors.
I saw Dr Ward for a surgical consultation. My husband and I were very impressed with his friendly and professional bedside manner. He took plenty of time to answer our many questions. He was open and honest regarding the difficulties associated with my procedure. He offered me healthy alternatives to consider before commiting to surgery. I found him honest, refreshing and kind. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.
Dr. Ward and his staff are easy to talk to and are concerned with their patient's health and overall wellness. They take the time to answer all of your questions in terms that are easy to understand.
Pleasant personality. I immediately liked him and have confidence in Dr Wards ability to do the c-spine surgery I need.

He is the best. Does what is best for his patience’s
My wife Linda had a procedure done by Dr Ward. It went so much better than we could have hoped for. Very professional and caring staff were there for her and went above and beyond to insure she was comfortable and taken care of. I would give them ten stars if it were possible!
I had already had a MRI ordered by my family physician for severe back pain. I called Dr. Ward's office on the advice from a very close friend. I was very surprised that it only took a week to get in to see Dr. Ward. I would recommend Dr. Ward to anyone, he has excellent bedside manner and is very thorough in explaining to you what the problems are.
I’m very grateful that I was referred to Dr Ward for cervical and he knows what he’s doing he’s very caring and takes his time to explain and really cares about his patients. His staff is just as caring. Very blessed.
I have had a “few” (5 I believe) surgeries. Other than my cervical fusions, all others failed (pseudoarthrosis). Only after one more surgery, did I learn about the failures in the past from another spine surgeon. And even after the one additional surgery’s failure, I had two more which included a DLIF procedure. Although I was very happy with Dr. Ward, I wonder why the failures I experienced were not addressed during my time under his care. Second opinions. Yes.
Doctor Ward is simply amazing. He did my back surgery and I am so grateful that he did. He’s concerned about my well being. He explained my surgery from beginning to end and answered all my questions. Not only is he great so is his staff. May God continue to Bless all of you
Dr. Ward and his staff always treats you with the upmost respect and are very tentative to your concerns. I have had a few surgeries that Dr. Ward has performed, he explained everything to me, start to finish and he stays very engaged in your recovery. I have recommended him to Family and Friends because, his care and performance has kept me golfing, fishing and being able to hold my granddaughter pain free.
Dr. Ward and his staff have been wonderful. While I am not really enjoying my injury, his staff (In particular, Kristin) have taken care of every concern I have had. When I have an office visit, Dr. Ward actually takes the time to explain to me what is going on and how we are going to approach it. If there is something I forgot during my office visit, a call or an e-mail to Kristin, and it is answered with quickness. So, if you are in the market to need a Neurosurgeon, I HIGHLY recommend Dr.Ward
Dr. Ward and his staff (especially Kristin) have been amazing. While I am going through a rough patch and in constant pain, they have been right by my side, offering any possible solution to my issue. I could not be happier with the service I am provided and would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ward for your neurosurgical needs.
Im pretty sure this is the first time I have left a negative review for anyone, but what was supposed to be a routine surgery, turned into a life threatening event for me, leaving me disabled. I have had the same procedure performed several times in the past by other neurosurgeons in different states with no problems. My recommendation is to do your research and get a second opinion. If something goes wrong it could be life changing.
Dr. Ward and his staff are friendly and efficient. He let's you know all of your options up front and tells you what he recommends, but also gives you a voice and choice in your treatment.
I want to thank Dr. Gregory Ward and his entire staff for the loving care while I was in the hospital for numbness on my legs, arms and hands. strong pain on the lumbar, knees and right leg. His calm attitude explaining me his findings about the health problem filled me with calm, confidence and comfort to supports the surgery that I had to go trough. I can honestly tell you that to me he has perform a miracle because I was able to walk 7 hours after the surgery with out of pain Thanks a million
Dr. Gregory Ward accurately diagnosed my back pain as Lumbar Stenosis in August of 2016. The office if Neurosurgical Associates of North Texas. Took it from there scheduling my surgery and handling everything. The surgery relieved the pain I had in my left leg and I have been pain free ever since. Dr. Ward is a remarkable guy, pleasant, upbeat, competent and friendly. No problem recommending him and Neurosurgical Associates of North Texas.
Dr Ward is one of the few Doctors that doesn't talk down to his patients He is genuinely concerned about every aspect of what is going on with his patient.
