The doctors are fine, but the front staff is absolutely horrible. They almost never answer the phone and when they do, they are rude and act as if they have more important things to do than tend to patients. Today, we had an appointment at 11:30. They messaged us to arrive early, at 11:15. We arrived at 11:00 or just before. 20 minutes later, when the receptionist finally got to us, she tells us she will have to reschedule because we didn't arrive early enough for her to verify the insurance (which should have been done when making the appointment, not on the day of). We also called about 2 hours before the appointment to see if all was in order, but they never answered, and apparently they didn't check the for the message that was left. It's not 1990. It's not that hard, nor does it take that long to verify one's insurance. Other doctor's we've been to have done it quickly and on the same day. Why they couldn't is beyond me. It gets better. When making the appointment weeks ago, we informed the person on the phone (it was a miracle they answered!) that the appointment was to acquire documentation from our doctor for a work-place accommodation. They said sure, we can do that. We'll see what you need on your appointment. Nope! The receptionist today said there was some (convoluted) process we had to complete before. It would have been nice to know beforehand to not waste our time, as if we have nothing else to do but waste gas driving to an appointment they had to reschedule due to their incompetence, and then have to take the time to go to another competent clinic for the same thing. The staff at this clinic truly leaves much to be desired. Furthermore, the receptionist would scratch her scalp every few minutes as if she had lice, which was quite disgusting, especially for a medical clinic. I highly recommend avoiding this clinic. Went from good to a joke. No care. Just a number on the books. Couple eyes ago seemed to be great doctor. Then recently lost all respect t has no patient care. Wont help in any way and the nurse is a joke. I cant walk move my head and for weeks now I've tried to get a hold of Dr allende and he never calls. Oh and if need refills better call 2 weeks ahead of time cause the nurse might get to you by then. Because of my recent experience here I no longer care to go on trying in life. Be Aware, avoid this clinic at all cost, they did fraud with the documents I provided, DO NOT GIVE YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY OVER THE PHONE OR IN PERSON TO THIS PLACE, they did a fraud on my documents, they charged my insurance 8 times for the same procedure, awful staff, front desk is very rude, aggressive and disrespectful. We aware of the front desk representative Yary she requests social security over the phone to do fraud, do not give your social security number to this clinic! clinic is very dirty, staff is awful, doctors couldn't care less about you, avoid this place at all cost. I have been here plenty of times with my mother. I remember when I was younger at the other building going in with and the front desk girls would give me a printed sheet and crayons to color. Dr. Allende is very kind hearted. Just the best! My mother has been his patient for over 15 years and now he is my physician too. So I work in customer service everyday therefore my senses are heightened to both good customer service as well as bad customer service. I have recently been thrust into the position of caretaker first for my mother and now for my uncles. One of my uncles specifically is a bilateral amputee. I scheduled an appointment for him as a new patient back on January 28th. Coming from Orlando and facing an unexpected accident tragic was delayed. I called to make Dr Allende’s office aware that we may be about 15 mins late. I was told that as a new patient he would already considered 30 minutes late because they did not have his new patient paperwork which we never received and so we would need to reschedule. I went into the office that same day to get the new patient paperwork and reschedule appointment for today @ 9:00. We arrived with the paperwork filled out at 8:45. I proceed to sign my uncle in and sit down. When asked for the insurance card and Id , I provide them with his insurance card and a work Id. I was told that they would not accept a work Id only a government issued ID. With me, I have my brother, and my uncles’ occupational therapist. I proceeded to tell them that we have used that id all over Haines City without a problem. Between Doctors Hospitals and rehabilitative centers his license was misplaced or lost . They say they can’t take it because against their contract policies. I ask to speak to the doctor who technically would have been seeing my uncle at this, his appointment time. They say he’s with other patients and they can’t pull him out. I made another appointment. Total disregard for the situation, zero empathy, terrible customer service especially from the office manager and her coworker whom she sent to tell me that the doctor was not available. Both ladies need patient assistance and patient courtesy training. Perhaps the office manager and or doctors are so mean to their staff that they feel like it’s ok to treat their patients this way. I work a full time job 30 miles and three traffic jams away It takes a lot of coordination to get my uncle to the doctor with his occupational therapist. I want to think that it just because I was black but I think it’s just because they are working under extreme duress, hateful unhappy manager and coworkers supervisors or arrogant pressed doctors. You’re so policy driven, you miss the whole reason you're in business.... to help sick people. How dare you turn away someone that does not have a government issue Id when it’s obvious there is no fraud. I’m leaving my rating@ 1 star until our next appointment and speak with the doctor. What's the point of having a doctor when. Nothing g absolutely nothing oh pass me off to another doctor that doesn't want to help and we have to suffer cause of inconsiderate money chasing doctors that do nothing. Thank you. Oh tha I you for nothing ER says primary care docs should write script and vis versa. Do your job.
