You spend more time with Ryan and Jasmine than with Dr Alissa but he knows exactly what is going on every minute. Ryan and Jasmine are top notch practitioners and I feel 100% safe, listened to, and taken care of. They do care if you feel good. My goal was pain i could handle. Their goal was no pain. Even if they know they can’t get there it is still the goal.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Alissa’s for 8 years now. After having horrible experiences at other Rheumatologists, he was a breath of fresh air! I’ve been a patient of Dr Alissa’s since 2017. And I’ve never had a Dr that truly cared for me and about me the way he does. His nurses and staff are always so kind and understanding. I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2014 and bounced around between doctors for awhile before I found Dr Alissa. He has been by my side through so many different medications, 3 hospital stays during the pandemic (non pandemic related)—he stayed in touch with ME and my doctors and all kinds of other chaos. He has an amazing team working with him. A lot of doctors offices, you walk in & you feel like you’re just another body walking through…not here. They actually listen to me!! Dr. Hassan Alissa is an amazing Rheumatologist! He's always attentive and caring and his staff is always respectful and take really great care of me. I went from not being to able to walk without a crutch or cane, had constant swelling and pain in my hands, knees, feet, neck and back...and with a right-on target diagnosis, he gave me right medications and instructions which has me now leading an almost a completely pain free life. He is a rip off. People need to check their bill invoices, I received mine and they billed my insurance $745.00, for a 45 minute office visit, which 35 of those minutes I sat alone in a room.

Dr.Alissa saved my life in 2010.He is very thorough and is the very best Dr on the planet. I would recommend him to anyone.

I knew for years something wasn’t right. I kept having unexplained inflammation from the heart to the hands. I was referred to Dr Alyssa by a friend. He ordered 18 tubes of blood and got me on the right track. His staff is amazing and they feel like extended family. Debra is wonderful and the infusion team is amazing.

Dr. Alissa is very personable and caring. He has been my doctor for over 6 years now. His staff is great and Debra is so wonderful. They all obviously have a great working environment.

I have been seeing Dr. Alissa since 2010 now & have never had such a caring doctor before. He always goes the extra mile for his patients. His new assistant, Jasmine, is fabulous! She makes sure all of my concerns are noted in my file & addressed during my visit with Dr. Alissa. I wouldn't dream of seeing any other rheumatologist.

Nurses are very friendly. Good vibe in the office. He answered questions in details not like the other rheum I went to before him. I really liked that he reviewed with me each abnormal value and gave a reasonable explanation. I am excited to see if I can get some help from the medication he gave me. Have been taking it for few days without problems. Keeping fingers crossed!!!

Was impressed with first two visits and diagnosed me with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I then had a bad reaction to the medication. Couldn’t get in to see doctor till next scheduled appointment. Went to see primary care physician because I was so I’ll. He weaned me off the meds and sent me to another rheumatologist. Did all the same tests and found I did not have Rheumatoid Arthritis and should have never been on the medication to begin with. This doctor ordered 12 vials of blood drawn, x-rays of all my painful areas which were negative for Rheumatoid Arthritis. I would give 0 ?? if I could.

I feel like just another number at this practice. The doctor doesn't have time to see you for more than a hello. Have had 3 visits and have seen 3 different PA's. Started seeing Dr Alissa when in the midst of several mobility, heart and vascular issues requiring a constant series of procedures and care. This required rearranging my scheduled appointments with a variety of caretakers and others. When necessary to reschedule because of invasive procedures or surgery I explained my reason to the schedulers. In spite of the reason for my rescheduling a couple of appointments, my request for refill of needed medication was denied by his office resulting in my having to unnecessarily tolerate much pain. I received zero consolation or a solution when trying to explain this to a member of his office staff except to wait for the appointment scheduled for the following month.

Everyone is super nice but... their protocols and procedures are so sloppy they might as well not have any. The Dr. is always concerned and surprised when you bring things up to him, but nothing ever changes. Either he doesn't care or the staff have him completely hoodwinked.

Alissa talks really fast and tried really hard to push rheumatoid drugs on me with just one swollen finger and No problems elsewhere.. Turned out to be carpel tunnel which he suggested it could be and still wanted me to start taking Methotrexate.. Smh.. I hope you have a better experience.. Good luck.

Falsely diagnosed 2 other people I know, and I, with Lupus. He said “It’s only in your bones though”. He said he diagnosed me “by how I looked” even though my blood tests came back fine (14 vials worth). Also he said he checked my x-rays and it’s not affect any part of my body so far, WELL guess what...I didn’t get X-rays done.

I've been trying to make an appointment for the past 2 weeks, but the person in charge of scheduling new patients NEVER answers her phone. Her voicemail says to leave a name and number and she will call back but she definitely does not. I finally got a hold of her only for her to need to get in contact with my Dr first. She said she would give me a call back as soon as possible to schedule the appointment. It's now been 6 days and no call back. I saw better reviews for a Dr. Schaefer and Dr. Terri and both their offices answered right away. It's definitely a longer wait time for an appointment but better customer service is worth it. I’m very happy with Dr. Alissa. My son is 16. There was over a year waiting list for the pediatric rheumatologist. Dr. Alissa was the only rheumatologist that would see him. Very thankful for that. I have been a patient of Dr. Alissa for about 11mo. I have been ill for several years, going from Dr to Dr, none of them had a clue of what was wrong with me. Finally I was referred to Dr. Alissa that was one of the best thing that has happened to me. He seemed to immediately have an idea of what may be going on with me, and ordered blood work. He started medication, after a while I felt a bit better, but still not very good. He then added another medication about 3 mo ago. I now feel better than I have in years! From the time I walk into the office, Raquel makes me feel like a welcome friend. Then, Miri and Chad at the infusion center always put a smile on my face! There is always laughter, and a friendly atmosphere while they take the time to check in with me and make sure I’m feeling OK and that my meds are working. The nurse Debra is super helpful and has gone above and beyond for me on more than one occasion! Dr Alissa helped me feel better immediately, his quick diagnosis and explanation of my illness made me feel validated and I’ve had great pain management since the get-go! I have been seeing Dr Alissa for years he is an AMAZING doctor and cares about all his patients. His staff is always there to listen if you have an issue or need something. The infusion team are the BEST!!!! Chad always keeps us laughing no matter how we are feeling.

I have seen Dr. Alissa for a few years now and he has been great! I previously saw another doctor in Austin who I was not agreeing with regarding my treatment plan. My previous med had stopped working and he refused to change anything. I then came to Dr Alissa and he talked me through the options and we made a plan. I have had very little trouble and have been in remission since seeing Dr. Alissa. All of the office staff and nurses are great as well! Extremely satisfied with Dr. Alissa and his office staff, very happy with the treatment I have received. The medication and physical therapy have improved my pain and mobility.

I went to see Dr.Alissa for two visits.On my very first visit he diagnosed me with Lupus and prescribed, Plaquenil. I had tons of questions and wanted more information. He wrote Lupus on a piece of paper and said to google it, as I will get all my answers online. The second appt was just as fast as the first one. I saw his Nurse first and talked to her about my situation and allergic reaction to the meds. She told me they will try a different med. Dr. Alissa walked in and said I was good to go and will try a different medicine, I questioned the medication after he stated it was not FDA Approved and was actually used for to help prevent organ transpant rejection, along with so many negative side effects. He became very rude, and asked me if I realized what kind of doctor he was, and that is job was to prescribe medicine. Long story short, I went to another Dr. I was misdiagnosed by Dr Alissa.I have RA, and not Lupus. He's too quick to diagnose, and shove medicine down your throat.

Dr. Alissa is wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and caring. He listens and answers all questions. He is very personable. His staff is always cheerful and helpful! I recommend him often.

His staff is efficient and friendly. I really like his PA, she answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable. Dr. Alissa is great, he is attentive and answers any questions you may have. He does a very complete exam with attention to detail.

My partner was recently recommended to this dr. Basically with as little details possible and without actually solving any problems he diagnosed her with a couple of diseases without any confirmation other than a "I think"... This is very typical for a first visit but you wouldn't expect the following. Upon this diagnosis he ordered some blood work(understandable) to the tune of $2000+(WHAT!?). Blood work for diseases and conditions that have obvious signs which weren't even there. We didn't even get to the follow up appointment but over the very short phone call we found out the obvious... None of that blood work was truly needed as they all came up negative or good. This single and only consultation appointment was $800+. Fortunately insurance was able to knock the appointment down to the $200 range. His time spent with my partner was hardly even as thorough as a physical(assuming one really was) so I'm not sure why the hell it's even remotely that expensive. Not a thorough dr at all and might as well be another pill pusher dr. We'll take our licks and move on from this one. My partner was recently recommended to this dr. I will be always grateful for Dr. Alissa. He knew what my diagnosis In a short time, something that I had five other rheumatologists describe as “chronic fatigue syndrome” and “fibromyalgia”. I really liked the doctor and the PA. The appointment and billing staff are not the friendliest. My copay was 45.00. I received my insurance statement and insurance was charged 507.00 each time I went. Seemed way to much for 2 minute visits/follow up. Going to find another doctor.

I am writing this after I have seen many rheumatologists. He is very thorough and knew what my symptoms exactly were. He was the first to diagnose me with RA and started me on a treatment that is starting to work. I am so grateful for he has done. Staff are awesome, always cheerful and professional.

If I could write a negative star here I would. He never asked for my previous doctors records before he got any of the three pages of bloodwork he ordered and $500 worth of x-rays he took me off of the medicine I’ve been on for many years and put me on three more. It’s a medicine that I should’ve been tapered off and was working just fine so there was no need to take me off of it in the first place. I suffered a horrible pain for a week until another doctor fixed it ! Stay wave far away !!

I feel confident with my choice of Rheumatology care. Dr. Alissa and his staff are knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly. They all take the time to answer my questions and I have never felt rushed. I appreciate their devotion to their patients as we are all looking to them for comfort during a most difficult time. They make it a little bit easier to “Embrace the Suck”! You guys are awesome!

Misdiagnoses patients, puts them on medications that are not appropriate for their symptoms and then tells them they are wrong and just to continue their meds and see him in a few months. He comes across as polite but disregards anything you say or ask and claims you have certain conditions when their is absolutely no evidence of that condition after massive amounts of diagnostic testing.

Dr Allissa has changed my life for the better. He diagnosed and is treating me for different types of arthritis, when I have an appointment he is professional and courteous. The staff in his office are friendly and knowledgeable. . I recommend this Dr. to everyone ! He has the highest rating in every way from me.

Most people who know me, know that my least favorite thing, is to make a Dr's visit. Cannot say that I looked forward going to Dr Alissa's office the first time, however the pain and discomfort made me willing to forget my apprehensions. It was with relief, that I was met with real concern and assurances, that after evaluation, I could be helped with pain management. Most impressive was his willingness to take the time to insure that my wife & I understood my condition and his suggestions.

I felt like he diagnosed me before my first appointment. He prescribed me pills and sent me on my way. He also calls me "your majesty" and is rather creepy. I took my mom to one appointment and she said he was offputting as well. The office staff and nurses are very nice but my appointment is always at least an hour late.

Really knows what he is doing and cares.

Dr. Alissa is attentive and very informative. Sometimes appointments run late but I love how he and his staff, always make me feel welcome and give me the same considerations as the people before me. They always treat me like a person and not just another patient. When I am not feeling well they try to cheer me and are prompt in calling me back and helping with any issuesthat arise. I do recommend Dr. Alissa to everyone!! He and his office staff are always so kind and caring!! They make sure you know they are always there if you need them as well and to not hesitate to reach out if you need something. I'm fairly new to him and we're still getting it all figured out but he's has a very gentle touch and does a great job of explaining things! I appreciate him not being afraid to run test to try to get to the bottom of things.

I love my drive to this office.. Dr. Alissa remembers me and what is going on w me. He listens. He takes extra percussion. I have had RA for 6 years and never been explained the way he explained it every other doc would just take me off medicine no matter if I felt well or not bc I wasn't in remission.. He has taken X-rays of me when I haven't had one in 6 years he is doing a bone density test which I have never had.. His staff are lovely. I feel like he hasn't best interest at heart

Although it seems Dr Alissa may be a little hard to work for, he is knowledgeable, professional and best of all takes time to listen. His nurse has the best attitude in dealing with patients, puts you at ease and is an absolute doll. Nancy and the rest of the staff is very busy but always friendly and helpful.

My doctor recommended Dr. Alissa in 2009. At 49, my arthritis was so bad I couldn't squeeze toothpaste. He and his staff made me feel like a star from the first visit. Within a month my pain lessened, I got back use of my hands. Within a year I was doing up-dog and down-dog, grading papers and using power tools with almost no pain. Dr. Alissa and his staff, especially Deborah, still make me feel like a star: they remember and ask about me, my son, my dogs. They still seek to lessen my meds. A+!

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Hassan and the reception was great. The staff was aware that they had a new patient waiting in the waiting room and even apologized for the minor delay. The Rheumatologist shows care and seems to bond with his patients.

I'm a fairly new patient but I have quickly fallen in love with Dr. Alissa and his staff!! Everyone is super friendly and very caring. It was important to him that he had all my questions answered and that I understood everything going on. He also made sure that I had their phone numbers and the patient portal info and to call or email if anything else came up. I have a LOT of issues going on, some rare but he knew of them ALL!

This is my 4th visit with Dr Alissa and him and his staff always make the office visit a great experience. Staff are very friendly and courteous. Dr. Alissa is nice, professional and is thorough when explaining my plan of care! Would recommend
